Mandy Moore happy to let beauty rituals take a back seat to sons

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandy Moore’s beauty routine has been “significantly pared down” since she became a mother.
The ‘This Is Us’ actress – who has Gus, two, and 12-month-old Ozzie with husband Taylor Goldsmith – insisted she is “totally OK” with not having a lot of time to focus on her own appearance because her children are her main priority.
Asked how her beauty routine has changed since becoming a mom, she told Oprah Daily: “Oh, it’s significantly pared down.
“It’s not much of a routine at all anymore. The only routine in my life right now revolves around anything child-related, which is totally OK.
“I recognise that this is not the season for me, and I’m fine with that. If I can get out of the house and feel like, Okay, I have my wits about me, then it’s a good day.”
The 39-year-old star admitted the COVID-19 pandemic also showed her so much of her old beauty regime wasn’t “necessary”.
She said: “The pandemic plus becoming a parent was this one-two punch that showed me that, actually, none of that beauty stuff that I would run around and do—my eyelash extensions, getting my hair highlighted, getting manicures—is necessary.
“I’m definitely a lady, and I lean into all that stuff and I find it to be really fun, but I also recognise that it doesn’t define me and it isn’t how I want to spend my time anymore.”
However, Mandy is planning to take more time for self-care next year.
Asked if she’s also less focused on wellness, she replied:
It’s not the biggest priority in my book right now; 2024 is going to be the year that I turn the camera back on myself a little bit more.
“But I feel like getting a nice bath at the end of the day is good self-care.
“Ever since being pregnant with Gus, I’ve been good about sticking to a supplement routine.
“I’d always let it fall by the wayside in the past, so I’ll pat myself on the back for doing it now. That and I’m good about carrying around my water bottle and prioritising sleep. My dudes are sleeping well. They’re down at seven, and then we’re good till six.”

Jeezy ‘disappointed’ his marriage to Jeannie Mai Jenkins couldn’t be saved

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeezy is “disappointed” his marriage to Jeannie Mai Jenkins couldn’t be saved.
The trap icon filed for divorce in September after two years of marriage, and the couple have tried everything to make things work, including therapy, but now he is focusing on his own self-care and love for himself.
Opening up in an interview with Nia Long, Jeezy said: “This has not been an easy journey. I can tell you that I’m sad. I can tell you that I’m disappointed. I can tell you that I’m uneasy.
“But God has put me on a different path, and that path is going to entail for me to take care of myself and to love myself and to be in the best situation that I can thrive as someone who’s been through all of the things that I’ve been through.”
The father-of-four – who has 20-month-old daughter Monaco with Jeannie – wants to be an inspiration to his children for the way he deals with loss and failure in life.
He went on: “At the end of the day, I don’t want my kids to just think I was a great artist. I’m a great man. I’m a great person. I’m a great father … I’m all the things, and I’m also somebody who’s failed. I’m also somebody who’s lost. I’m also somebody who, my life plays out in public a lot.”
Jeezy added of his good acts being misconstrued: “People always see the bad things. I’m always somebody who wants to do the right thing and sometimes the masses don’t want that.
“Sometimes I’ve been told to keep your mouth closed and don’t tell people anything. And now, just opening up and having these conversations, there’s a lot of times where I’m like, ‘Wow,’ when you see people not getting the message right. You go, ‘They just really don’t understand.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Patrick Dempsey is PEOPLE magazine’s 2023 Sexiest Man Alive.
The 57-year-old actor has received the magazine’s coveted title – which has previously been held by the likes of Paul Rudd, Chris Evans, and David Beckham – and admitted that he was initially shocked when he heard the news.
He told the outlet: “I was completely shocked, and then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I’ve always been the bridesmaid! I’d completely forgotten about it and never even contemplated being in this position. So my ego is good.”
The former ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star – who set up the Dempsey Center in honour of his late mother following her battle with cancer and strives to support others battling the disease with the facility – is married to Jillian Fink and has Talula 21 as well as 16-year-old twins Darby and Sullivan with her and joked that while he is grateful to have the title at this stage in his life, he knows his kids are just going to “make fun” of him for it.
He said: “I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life. It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly, my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive. Brooke Shields thought had died when she ended up in the back of an ambulance with Bradley Cooper

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Shields thought she had perhaps died when Bradley Cooper ended up with her in the back of an ambulance.
The 58-year-old actress suffered a grand mal seizure while preparing for her one-woman show in New York in September at the L’Artusi restaurant but when staff were unable to get in touch with her husband Chris Henchy, she ended up going to the hospital with Hollywood star and close friend Bradley.
Brooke told ‘Entertainment Tonight:’ “I’m okay but when I woke up in the ambulance and it was Bradley Cooper, I thought maybe I had died.”
The ‘Pretty Baby’ star recently explained that it was such an “odd and surreal” situation to find herself in and admitted she was unable to see the funny side at the time.
She told Glamour: “She said: “The next thing I remember, I’m being loaded into an ambulance. I have oxygen on. And Bradley f****** Cooper is sitting next to me holding my hand.
“I didn’t have a sense of humour. I couldn’t really get any words out.
“But I thought to myself, This is what death must be like. You wake up and Bradley Cooper’s going, ‘I’m going to go to the hospital with you, Brooke,’ and he’s holding my hand. And I’m looking at my hand, I’m looking at Bradley Cooper’s hand in my hand, and I’m like, ‘This is odd and surreal.’ ”
Shortly after the incident took place, it was determined that the ‘Suddenly Susan’ star had been suffering from low sodium levels and she soon hit out at male medics who had assumed she was trying to lose weight.
Low sodium. I had had too much water. I flooded my system, and I drowned myself.
“And if you don’t have enough sodium in your blood or urine or your body, you can have a seizure.
“And then male doctors kept asking me if I was limiting my salt. And I said, ‘You know what? I’ve had it with male doctors. I know you’re all smart—smarter than I am in what you do. But let me just tell you something: I look younger when I’m bloated. If I’m bloated, people think I’ve had Botox. So as a 58-year-old woman, I’m not limiting my salt, okay? Stop trying to make me a crazy actress or a female that doesn’t know what the f*** they’re doing.’
“I was drinking too much water because I felt dehydrated because I was singing more than I’ve ever sung in my life and doing a show and a podcast. So they were just like, ‘Eat potato chips every day.’ ”

Jamie Lynn Spears reportedly set for I’m A Celeb after fall out with sister Britney

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lynn Spears is reportedly set to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’
The 32-year-old actress – who is best known for appearing on Nickelodeon in the late 2000s – is the younger sister of pop legend Britney, 41, and is said to be set for an appearance on the ITV1 jungle survival show when it returns to screens on November 19.
In recent years, Jamie Lynn has become estranged from her sister – who regained control of her multimillion-dollar fortune and various aspects of her life when a conservatorship governed by her immediate family was terminated in 2021 – over her alleged involvement in the arrangement and now producers are hoping that she will open up about their “history” during her time in the Australian Outback.
A source told The Daily Mirror: “Jamie Lynn has got decades of history and bad blood with Britney to rake over and has laid out her feelings pretty clearly in her own book. It will be interesting to hear her spill the beans about her life and her family and the controversial conservatorship – and to find out whether the sisters really do get along now – or not.”
In her recent memoir ‘The Woman in Me, ‘Circus’ hitmaker Britney alleged that Jamie Lynn – who recently competed on US ballroom show ‘Dancing with the Stars – that the former ‘Zoey 101’ star had been selling “salacious stories” on her whilst “capitalising” on the situation with the publication of her own memoir ‘Things I Should Have Said’.
She wrote: “As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalising on it. She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous. I was really let down. Shouldn’t sisters be able to confess their fear or vulnerability to each other without that later being used as evidence of instability?
“Along with the rest of them, she kept acting like I was a threat in some way. This will sound crazy, but I’ll say it again because it’s the truth: I thought they were going to try to kill me”
Several stars have been linked to the upcoming series, including JLS singer Marvin Humes, jockey Frankie Dettori, soap stars Danielle Harold and Nick Pickard, politician Nigel Farage, and ‘This Morning’ host Josie Gibson.
It was previously claimed Nigel was offered a staggering £1 million to take part and he recently admitted he is “seriously considering” going into camp this year after rejecting past approaches.
Speaking on his GB News show, he said: “Several times since 2016 I’ve had ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ from ITV saying to me, ‘Come into the jungle.’
“And they’ve always offered me really quite substantial sums of money to do so, and I have always thought ‘No, it’s probably not the right thing for me to do.’ ”
‘MasterChef’ star Grace Dent is also expected to take part in the show.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s TV Biz column: “‘MasterChef’ fans know Grace for her withering put-downs of contestants’ food and disdain for anything less than stellar cooking.
“But she’ll be eating humble pie in the jungle, surviving on rice and beans and taking part in Bushtucker trials.”

Sir Ridley Scott teases Paul Mescal’s baboon fight scene in Gladiator 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Mescal fights baboons in ‘Gladiator 2’.
Sir Ridley Scott has been editing 90 minutes of footage for the sequel to the 2000 historical drama amid the SAG-AFTRA strike, and he teased a wild scene for the ‘Normal People’ actor’s character Lucius.
A profile on Scott for the New Yorker read: “In the meantime, he’d been polishing the 90 minutes he had, including a scene in which the hero fights a pack of baboons; he’d been haunted, he said, by a video of baboons attacking tourists in Johannesburg: ‘Baboons are carnivores. Can you hang from that roof for two hours by your left leg? No! A baboon can.’”
The movie started filming this year and has already been plagued by troubles as six crew members were reportedly rushed to hospital after an on-set explosion. A big-budget special effects scene is said to have gone wrong during filming of the sequel in Morocco with reports suggesting a gas pipe on set may have ruptured.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It was terrifying — a huge ball of fire flew up and caught several crew members in its path. “In years of filming I’ve never seen an accident so scary. “Six production staff had to be rushed to hospital for treatment. “Hopefully everyone will be OK, but it was a serious accident. “Everyone involved, from the lowliest runners to the star names, has been shaken up by this.”
Paul previously admitted he was feeling both “stressed” and “excited” about landing his biggest role to date in the sequel.
Speaking to Esquire magazine prior to the Hollywood actors strike, Paul explained: “I can’t tell you how stressed I am talking about that film in particular, because it’s definitely the biggest one I’ve done. I feel really excited, but, like, it’s difficult to get away from the legacy of the film a bit. I think it’s really well written and it pays homage to the first one, but it’s very much something that I think I can step into and make comfortably my own.”
When asked if he has spoken to Russell Crowe – the star of the first ‘Gladiator’ film – he said he hadn’t and added: “I don’t know what we would talk about. Like, I’d love to hear his stories from filming, but the character is, like, totally separate.”

Nintendo confirms The Legend of Zelda is being turned into a movie

OHMYGOSSIP — A movie based on ‘The Legend of Zelda’ is in the works.
The classic Nintendo game – follows a young boy named Link trying to save a kidnapped princess from an evil force – with with Avi Arad and Shigeru Miyamoto set to produce, and Wes Ball reportedly set to direct.
Shigeru Miyamoto wrote on X – previously known as Twitter -: “This is Miyamoto. I have been working on the live-action film of ‘The Legend of Zelda’ for many years now with Avi Arad-san, who has produced many mega hit film. I have asked Avi-san to produce this film with me, and we have now officially started the development of the film with Nintendo itself heavily involved in the production.”
However, the producer – who has previously worked on the likes of ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’, ‘Into the Spider-Verse’, ‘No Way Home’, ‘Far From Home’, and ‘Homecoming’ – concluded his post by warning fans could “take some time” but insisted that he remains optimistic about the whole project.
He added: “It will take time until its completion, but I hope you look forward to seeing it.”
According to Deadline, ‘Jurassic World’ writer Derek Connolly is working on the script.
Earlier this year it was reported that game producer Eiji Aonuma would love to see the Nintendo game turned into a movie.
Following the success of ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ – which grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide, and set multiple box-office records, including the biggest worldwide opening weekend for an animated film and the highest-grossing film based on a video game – Aonuma has said he would love to see a ‘Zelda’ film and has urged fans of the action-adventure games to make it known that they want to see it happen.
He told Polygon: “I have to say, I am interested. For sure, but it’s not just me being interested in something that makes things happen, unfortunately. Maybe the voice of the fans is what’s important here.”

The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins thought he was ‘too old’ to be a rock star at 18 years old

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Hawkins thought he was “too old” to be a rock star by the time he reached 18.
The 48-year-old musician is best known as the founder, lead singer, and lead guitarist of the Darkness but didn’t find fame with the ‘One Way Ticket’ rockers until he was 25 and explained how he thought he was too old to make it but worked his way up by studying music and getting a job in a studio.
He told Metro newspaper’s SixtySeconds column: “I remember when I got to about 18 and I saw bands like Ash coming up and thinking, ‘Well this is over, I’m already too old!’ But I still wanted to be in music, so I went and studied music technology and got a job in a recording studio.
Then I made a sort of easy-listening cassette of songs that I’d written for my grandfather for a Christmas present. And it got heard by somebody at a publishing company and they thought, ‘Oh, this kind of easy listening stuff is ideal to synchronise with films and TV shows and adverts’ and they
signed me. I did a lot of stuff. I did HSBC, Mars Bars, Audi… and then I did the Ikea advert, which basically paid for our first album and bought me and my brother our first Les Pauls.”
During his heyday, the ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ hitmaker infamously executed headstands on stage whilst clapping his feet but has now come to the conclusion that the stunt doesn’t necessarily have to be a part of the show these days.
He said: “The first time I did that headstand, feet clapping thing on stage I didn’t practise it, I just did it instinctively and it became part of the show. That was 20 years ago and I’ve been doing it ever since. I also went through a long phase of climbing up onto balconies of the theatres and diving off into the audience. But on three different occasions, I’ve broken ribs doing that. I last did it in Australia in August and it was agony. So I’ve come to the realisation that maybe doesn’t have to be part of the show.”

Mariah Carey teases new music is coming after she recorded with choir

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey has new music on the way.
The ‘We Belong Together’ hitmaker has been penning new tunes and teased that one song features a choir.
She told ‘Good Morning America’: “There is new music on the horizon.
“I’ve been working the past three, four weeks on just writing new songs.”
On what fans can expect, she added: “Yesterday we were in the studio working on something with a choir, working on a new song.
“So it’s exciting.”
Mariah’s last studio album was 2018’s ‘Caution’.
However, she has since featured on a slew of songs, including the hit 2022 remix of Latto’s ‘Big Energy’ with DJ Khaled.
Meanwhile, the ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ hitmaker is set to embark on the ‘Merry Christmas One and All!’ tour of the US.
Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson recently revealed she is keen to pen a song with Mariah Carey.
The ‘Since U Been Gone’ singer accidentally snubbed the 54-year-old star when the ‘Hero’ hitmaker made a 2018 appearance on ‘The Voice’ as an adviser, and, having regretted her “stupid” gaffe ever since, Kelly hopes she’ll get a second chance at a potential collaboration.
Speaking on ‘The Tonight Show’, Kelly said: “She knows I adore her because I’ve run into her several times, and she’s probably got me on some security list to keep me away.
“I did something stupid… She came on ‘The Voice’, and we were working together, and sometimes I say everything that’s in my brain, and I shouldn’t do that.”
The ‘Stronger’ hitmaker recalled how they complimented one another’s songwriting abilities, but when Mariah suggested they pen something together, Kelly accidentally turned her down.
She laughed: “I walked away, and my friends were like, ‘Do you realise you just told Mariah Carey ‘No?’ ”
That’s not what I meant. I meant the best writing for me does not come out in that scenario. I’m usually alone. Any time you see my name on a song, I wrote it, usually, alone.”
Host Jimmy Fallon then asked his guest: “You would love to write a song with Mariah Carey?
And she confirmed: “I would love to … I love you, Mariah Carey.”
The 41-year-old talk show host revealed the very first song she ever performed in front of people was Mariah’s ‘Vision of Love’.
She reflected: “I would love to say I was brave and bold. I was just stupid. I just love the song.”

Torvill, 66, added: “I can’t wait to watch the episode that we are going to be in. It will be surreal sitting at home watching it.”

Coco Rocha was clueless about fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Coco Rocha never “paid attention” to fashion or her own style when she was younger.
The 35-year-old model – who has children Ioni, eight, Iver, five, and two-year-old Iley with husband James Conran – was approached to model when she was taking part in a dance competition in 2002 and she admitted that before then, she had very little knowledge about the industry.
Speaking to The Italian Reve, she said: “It’s funny because when I was younger, I never even paid attention to fashion, nor to my own style or point of view. I was a dancer, so my whole life was just dance.
“Probably because I didn’t grow up with social media, you would have to buy magazines and really be involved to care about this industry.
“I would not say that my love for fashion started early on, I didn’t have even a sense of who was who and which magazines were important.”
And Coco initially went into modelling as a stepping stone, without viewing it as a long-term career.
She said: “Even during the first few years of my career I was taking it as an opportunity, I thought, ‘Let’s try this thing out and see where it goes.’
“I was a very hard worker, I knew how to perform, but I didn’t dive in to inform myself of the industry until a few years in, when I thought that maybe that was really going to be my career; I thought, ‘Maybe I do like it, maybe I love clothes, maybe I love make-up’.
“So, I can’t really recall a date, or time, or article I read, but it was overtime realizing that this is my new version of performing, and that it was the reason why I started to love fashion.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lance Bass has revealed *NYSNC are “all good” after Britney Spears’ memoir.
The singer has opened up on the state of mind of the group after the 41-year-old pop star accused her ex Justin Timberlake of pushing her to abort his baby and having flings behind her back with two famous women when they dated from 1999 to 2002.
Asked directly how JT is doing after the release of Britney’s tell-all memoir ‘The Woman In Me’, he simply told People he talks to his bandmates “all the time”.
He added: “Yes, we’re all good. People will survive.”
Justin recently disabled the comments sections on his Instagram account in the wake of the backlash against him from the singer’s fans after she shamed him in her book.
A source told Page Six he made the move due to the “hateful, disgusting things people were saying” on his posts.
His wife Jessica also recently slapped a limit on her Instagram comments as she continues to be trolled for staying married to Justin in the wake of Britney’s allegations.
In the comments section of Jessica’s latest Instagram post, dated 21 August, she was swarmed by angry Britney fans for allegedly “dismissing” the singer’s alleged traumas throughout her relationship with Justin.
Many asked her why she was still with the “cheat” – though others defended the mum-of-two and branded it “harassment”.
Britney said she terminated Justin’s baby as he “didn’t want to be a father” when they were together and said she wanted to keep the child.
Lance previously called for people to go easy on his *NSYNC bandmate because there is already so much “hate” in the world.
Asked if the backlash towards Justin was fair or unfair, he told TMZ: “Look, I mean, everyone has their own opinion.
“I just feel like the world is so full of hate right now, that we need to practice a little forgiveness. Britney did, so let’s take a note from her.
“Everyone deserves to tell their story. She did and I hope the fans can, again, find some forgiveness.”

Barbra Streisand reveals how she broke protocol with President JFK

OHMYGOSSIP — Barbra Streisand broke protocol when she met President John F. Kennedy Jr.
The 81-year-old singer and actress has reflected on her performance at the 1963 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner after being invited by JFK himself just days after she performed on ‘The Dinah Shore Show’, but she didn’t quick stick to the etiquette.
Writing in her new memoir ‘My Name Is Barbra’, she said: “You must know by now that I can be remarkably blasé about a lot of things, but this was exciting, even for me.”
After singing her three songs, she waited in line with the other performers to meet the president.
She recalled: “When JFK got to me, he told me that I had a beautiful voice and asked, ‘How long have you been singing?’
“I said, ‘About as long as you’ve been president.’ He laughed, and then I did exactly what we were told not to do.”
She asked Kennedy to sign a card from the dinner for her mother, and he was happy to oblige.
She told him: “You’re a doll.”
Barbra has admitted onlookers were surprised by their un-presidential interaction, and she was left wondering if she overstepped.
She added: “I guess some people were a little surprise to hear me saying it to the president. Frankly, it just slipped out.”
She reflected on the interaction – which came just six months before the president was assassinated in Dallas, Texas – in 2018 as she admitted asking for an autograph was out of character.
She wrote on Instagram: “I never ask for autographs… but I made an exception when I met President John F. Kennedy in 1963.”
Meanwhile, Barbra famously contacted Apple CEO Tim Cook to complain that the iPhone was pronouncing her name incorrectly.
She recently told the BBC: “My name isn’t spelled with a ‘Z’. It’s Strei-sand, like sand on the beach. How simple can you get?
“And Tim Cook was so lovely. He had Siri change the pronunciation … I guess that’s one perk of fame!”

Ashley Benson’s pregnancy confirmed as star shops for baby essentials

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Benson has confirmed her pregnancy.
The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ star was seen with a bonny baby bump as she shopped at Babylist’s Beverly Hills showroom on Monday (06.11.23).
And a source has confirmed to E! News that the 33-year-old actress is expecting her first child with her entrepreneur fiancé Brandon Davis.
Ashley revealed her engagement to her 33-year-old oil heir partner in July when she showed off her huge diamond ring on Instagram, and multiple sources have been claiming the couple are set to become parents.
Us Weekly was the first to report the pregnancy news, with a source telling the outlet: “She’s around the four month mark and so excited to be a mom, she’s been eating really well and taking care of her body.
“Ashley’s family is also thrilled for her.”
Ashley gushed Brandon was her “best friend” at the time she revealed they were engaged.
The announcement came five months after the couple’s romance made headlines following Ashley’s long-term relationships with rapper G-Eazy, 34, and 31-year-old model Cara Delevingne.
She initially kept the relationship secret and insisted she prefers a “private” love life.
Ashley told Cosmopolitan in 2021: “It’s more sacred that way. I think it’s best not to be over-exposed, and you can really protect your relationship if you’re not exploiting it.”
Before making her relationship with Brandon public, Ashley opened up about her hopes of one day starting a family.
She told People in 2019 she was “obsessed” with babies and wanted “like, 25 kids”.
But Ashley said at the time she didn’t plan to get pregnant “anytime soon”, but admitted she had already been shopping for her unborn kids.
She added: “I just got three vintage T-shirts for my future children. I’m just going to keep them until they can wear them. I will go crazy… it’ll be fun.”
