Slash: Music saved me

OHMYGOSSIP — Slash fell “really hard into music” to cope with getting sober.
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist decided to get sober 12 years ago and he feels grateful he had his music to keep him going through the tough time.
He told USA TODAY: “It’s a tough one. I was really fortunate to have been able to get through it the way that I did, in that when I finally came to terms with it, I really came to a point where I just didn’t want to do it anymore. I haven’t felt the inclination since then. It was a very definitive moment where I was just like, ‘I’m done. It’s not fun anymore.’ Any time that I’ve thought about it since then, it always brings back negative feelings and emotions. I fell really hard into music when that time came, and for a lot of people, that’s hard to do. Getting sober makes some people feel out of touch with their creativity; they feel like they needed the chemicals to make that happen.
“When I first came out of it, I just dived into music and that really saved me. That, and having kids. The only advice I can give to anybody is really being honest with yourself in coming to terms with it, because nobody can help anyone get their act together and get clean, except for themselves. It really is something that if you want to do it, you have to be committed and feel strongly about doing it. It’s really not easy at all.”
Meanwhile, Slash recently revealed “everybody” wants to work on a new Guns N’ Roses album and has teased the possibility of the group working on their first batch of original material since reuniting with their ‘classic’ lineup.
Opening up on the chances of a new record, the star said: “It’s been talked about. I think everybody wants to do it, and we’ll just see what happens. We’ve been busy doing this running around the planet.”

Dave Grohl: I might have blown my chance to perform at the Super Bowl

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl thinks he has blown the Foo Fighters chance of performing at the Super Bowl.
The ‘Learn To Fly’ hitmakers have yet to grace the iconic half time show at the annual sporting event and now Dave thinks he might have blown their chances completely after he drunkenly told the organisers that he “didn’t want to do it anymore”.
Speaking on Los Angeles’ KROQ radio station, he said: “I’ve had multiple conversations over the years with them where they say, ‘We want to have a rock ‘n’ roll band. Do you think you could do it? Do you think you could do a stadium?’ I was like, ‘Yeah man, we do it all the time.’ We’re like, ‘Oh my God, I think we’re gonna do the Super Bowl!’ And then it’ll be, like, Madonna or Katy Perry or somebody like that … I actually got really hammered at this party in France once and got to meet the dude that does the Super Bowl thing, and I was like, ‘I don’t even want to do the Super Bowl! I used to want to do it. Now I don’t want to do it anymore!'”
Meanwhile, Dave previously admitted he treats every Foo Fighters album as if it could be their last.
He said: “Believe me, my Dad, he was a bad ass, and a super smart dude, and a wicked musician with perfect pitch. So he didn’t take any of this lightly, and one of his friends that he grew up with was a famous drummer in Herb Alpert’s Tijuana Brass. When his friend passed away he kind of had nothing. He spent all his money, so he kind of blew it. So when Nirvana became popular my Dad was like, ‘Dude, look, listen. This is what happened to my friend, you know this ain’t going to last, you better treat every single cheque like it’s your last one, and don’t mess around.’ I was like, ‘Okay.’ I honestly did, and to this day, I still feel that way. I feel like, okay, well this is going to be the last record, this is going to be the last record.”

Johannes Radabe thinks Graziano di Prima could fall for Vick Hope

OHMYGOSSIP — Johannes Radabe has suggested Graziano di Prima could fall for Vick Hope.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star has claimed his fellow pro will struggle to resist the Capital FM DJ despite being in a relationship with Giada Lini, and heaped praise on their chemistry in rehearsals.
The 31-year-old dancer told The Sun newspaper: “Have you seen the hottest couple on the block Graziano and Vick? Those two together – there’s just so much chemistry there and I must say that because I’ve seen them.
“He’s a very good looking man. But it’s going to be hard for him to resist her – have you seen how Vick is? She’s a goddess, she’s a beauty. You know – will he be able to resist her? That’s my question.”
However, Johannes noted that Graziano has been loved-up with dancer Giada for the past three years.
He added: “But he’s got a girlfriend, it’s awkward. And a very beautiful one at that, her name is Giada. She’s from Italy as well and they’ve been together before ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, we did a show called ‘Burn the Floor.’ ”
Johannes referenced the infamous ‘Strictly’ curse – which has seen the show appear to spark the end of several relationships over the years – and admitted he can “see why” it happens.
He explained: “You know what, I get the Strictly curse, I get it and I see why. Because, my gosh, the amount of time you spend with your celebrity partner and the amount of time you spend with these people, you know.
“That is real. That’s what dancing does, the minute you touch somebody’s hand. I’m waiting to see what happens like everybody else.”

Bradley Walsh keeps Doctor Who secrets from The Chasers

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Walsh has had to keep ‘Doctor Who’ secrets from ‘The Chase’ stars.
The 58-year-old actor presents the ITV game show, and he admitted the Chasers – including Anne Hegerty and Mark Labbett – are huge fans of the sci-fi series, which held its official launch in Sheffield on Monday (24.09.18), and are “thrilled” he has joined the cast .
He told Metro.co.uk: “The Chasers have been [asking for information] because they’re mad Whovians. They really are. Especially Anne Hegerty and The Beast. ‘I had to hold my nerve. But they’re thrilled for me.”
Bradley also explained how Jodie Whittaker being introduced as the first female Time Lord in the show’s history was a big part of his motivation to join the cast alongside Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill.
He said: “Jodie Whittaker is brilliant, the fact we’ve got a female Doctor I think is sensational, and I mean sensational and that’s what made me want to be part of it.
“That and the fact there was four companions, the Doctor would lead from the front like a general and we’d be the cohorts, and consequently that’s what sold me.
“The phrase was, ‘Imagine it’s James T. Kirk on the bridge of the Enterprise and you’re the team’ and I said, ‘I get it. I’m in.’ ”
Although he’s excited for the launch of the new series, Bradley – who plays companion Graham O’Brien in the upcoming run – recently admitted he struggled to adapt to such a different style of filming, which sees a tennis ball used in place of something to be added later through CGI.
He previously said: “There’s nothing to react to. So I remember I walked out of wherever we were, and I had to walk out one building and come out and they said, ‘Right, so you’ve gotta look at this thing and you gotta be in awe of this massive great thing.’ ”

Richard Bacon recalls coma hell as he came ‘close to death’

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Bacon says coming out a coma was the “worst day of my life” after he came “very close to death”.
The former ‘Blue Peter’ presenter spent 11 nights in a medically-induced coma while battling a potentially deadly lung infection, and he revealed at one stage his body went blue and doctors “expected” him to meet his maker.
He said: “Coming out of the coma was the worst day of my life. Being told I needed to go into the induced coma was the most shocking moment and coming out was the worst day because you hallucinate and it takes about 14 hours to come out truly.
“I felt very bad for Rebecca. For me, I found out afterwards how close I’d come [to death]. There was one point where they had the crash equipment hovering over me, my body turned blue, there was a moment when they believed I was going to die.
“She’d been given that impression. I find out afterwards and it’s sort of a story. For her it was a phone by the bed, waiting every second waiting for that call to come in that her husband had died.
“I was very, very close to death. They went from telling me I needed to be in an induced coma to being in a coma in four minutes. They said to me afterwards, ‘It wasn’t that you might die, we expected you to die.’ I was the illest person in Lewisham hospital.”
Richard’s wife Rebecca told him not to “walk towards the white light” seconds before he was put into his coma.
He added: “As they were putting me in the coma she rubbed my feet and said, ‘Don’t walk towards the white light,’ which I think was a joke, but I’m not entirely sure.”
Fortunately, Richard is now on the road to recovery, but admitted it will be a six-month process until he is completely better.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he added: “I feel really good. It’s six months full recovery.”

Patrick Stewart is mentor to Gemma Oaten

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Patrick Stewart is a “mentor and a friend” to Gemma Oaten.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress has been big pals with the ‘Star Trek’ legend after she wrote to him asking for advice when she was at drama school, and he invited her to see play ‘Waiting for Godot’.
She said: “I wrote to him when I was in drama school, asking for advice. Amazingly, he wrote back and invited me to see ‘Waiting for Godot’ with Sir Ian McKellen.
“He’s been a mentor and a friend ever since.”
Due to their friendship, Gemma – who played Rachel Breckle in the ITV soap – no longer counts the 78-year-old actor as a “celebrity”.
She said: “He’s not a celebrity in my eyes now, but Sir Patrick Stewart is a good friend.
“When I first met him I was a little bit like, ‘Wow.’ ”
Gemma portrayed Rachel in the Dales from 2011 to 2015, and while she still keeps in touch with some of her former co-stars on social media site Facebook – she admits it is a “lazy way” to keep in contact with her pals.
She added to new! magazine: “I speak to Alicya Eyo, Liam Fox, Luke Roskell, and Sian Williams.
“I’m friends with them all on Facebook and you kind of feel like you’re keeping up with them all.
“It’s a lazy way of doing it but it’s a good way.”
Gemma is to reprise her role as Sydney Somers in ‘Holby City’ for a third time shortly, and she is looking forward to taking on the role again.
She recently said: “I love playing Sydney Somers and it’s always a joy to return.”

Jenna Coleman rejected Victoria twice before signing up

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Coleman turned down ‘Victoria’ twice before signing up for the show.
The former ‘Doctor Who’ star plays Queen Victoria in the ITV drama programme, but she was initially reluctant to accept the part because she didn’t want to appear in another long-running show after the sci-fi series.
She said: “I had just finished doing nearly four years on ‘Doctor Who’ and I didn’t want to do another long TV project.
“I wanted to do lots of different things, but now I’m doing ‘Victoria’, I find her quite addictive.”
The 32-year-old actress will reprise her role as the late monarch in a third series in 2019, but admits there will “come a point in her story” where she can no longer take on the part.
She said: “We’re deciding on a series-by-series basis.
“In the next one she’s starting to look a bit more matronly, she’s had six or seven children, so a bit wider, bit more of a bust, the make-up is more drawn … but there will come a point in her story when no amount of prosthetic make-up or me lowering my voice will be convincing enough.”
Should Jenna’s titular part be re-cast, ‘Victoria’ will follow Netflix drama ‘The Crown’ in re-casting royal roles, after Claire Foy and Matt Smith’s characters Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were recently taken over by Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies.
The ‘Cry’ star also admits she would’ve likely rejected the chance to appear in another sci-fi show after ‘Doctor Who’ – in which she played the Time Lord’s assistant Clara Oswald – because she wanted to try her hand at other opportunities.
She added to Radio Times magazine: “‘The Cry’ is a real contrast to ‘Victoria’, and ‘Victoria’ was a real contrast to ‘Doctor Who’.
“That was the attraction for me. If I’d been offered something sci-fi after ‘Doctor Who’ I probably would have turned it down.
“I’ve never done anything like a psychological thriller before.”

John Cleese is going deaf

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cleese is becoming “increasingly deaf”.
The 78-year-old actor has revealed that he’s losing his ability to hear, but rather than thinking of the condition as a “burden”, he is finding it “liberating”, as he no longer has to listen to things that don’t interest him.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the ‘Monty Python’ star said: “[I’m going] increasingly deaf. [It’s not a] burden. On the contrary, I find it quite liberating. I smile and nod and point at my ears, and am thus released from the duty of taking notice of all the rubbish directed at me.”
John is no doubt happy that he’ll no longer have to listen to what he described as “dreadful lies” told by politicians in the wake of Britain’s decision to leave the European Union (EU), after he hit out at the “awful” move earlier this year.
The ‘Fawlty Towers’ star said he was planning on moving to the Caribbean island of Nevis as early as this November, after being left “so disappointed” with the politicians in Britain.
He said in July: “I actually am leaving. I’m making arrangements now. I am so disappointed with so much about this country at the moment.
“It was awful. Dreadful lies on the right about all the money going into the national services and the usual thing, the scare tactics from Cameron and Osborne. Nobody said it is very complicated. Why is everyone so passionate when they can’t possibly know what the outcome is?
“I don’t like it, I don’t trust it. I don’t trust the bankers!”
Meanwhile, John’s hearing loss comes after he claimed in September last year that he thinks he’ll “die soon”.
He said: “I’ve forgotten how old I am. It’s very nice being this old, because when you’re this old you’re going to die soon, so you don’t give a f**k, you see?
“I’m not afraid of death. I mean, I was thinking about it a lot because you do as you get older. And I thought, ‘Well, most of the best people are dead.’
“And there are an awful lot of really awful people still alive. And most of them are in charge!”

“In my mind, I’m going back in time and telling the young girl I was, ‘Dream big, work hard and trust in yourself girl, because one day you’re going to say yes to the number-one beauty brand’.
The rising star – who has become the latest muse for chart topper Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty brand – shared her good news with her followers on her Instagram account, uploading an upcoming editorial shot which she captioned “Beyond blessed to be the new global spokeswoman for @lorealmakeup (sic)”
After making her debut, Duckie will front campaigns for L’Oréal’s Volume Million Lashes, Infallible Foundation and Colourista products.
Speaking about the new collaboration, L’Oréal Global President Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou said: “While emerging in a new generation of models, Duckie Thot knows how to use her voice to match the strength of her images. Her energy and message of inclusivity make her a perfect recruit for the L’Oréal family: original and confident in her self-worth.
“We’re delighted to welcome Duckie and for her to continue motivating women to believe in their own beauty around the globe.”

Chrissy Teigen’s daughter loves fried ribs

OHMYGOSSIP — Chrissy Teigen’s daughter Luna loves to munch on fried ribs.
The 32-year-old model recently released her second cookbook, ‘Cravings: Hungry For More’, and has said that out of all the tasty things she cooks for her family, her two-year-old daughter Luna – whom she has with her husband John Legend, with whom she also has four-month-old son Miles – loves nothing more than her Thai Soy-Garlic Fried Ribs.
When if Luna had any input on the book, Chrissy said: “Her favourite recipe is the Thai Soy-Garlic Fried Ribs. The picture in the book where she’s eating one, I think that was her ninth rib or something! It was all over her face. It makes me so happy because there’s this little kid loving these fried chunks of bitter black garlic on these soy sauce ribs, and it’s her favourite thing on the planet. So she is very much her mother’s daughter. Forget cakes or desserts or cookies; she’d much rather have, like, a second go at pasta.”
The ‘Lip Sync Battle’ host admits she always tastes her own food when she writes the recipes for her books, and says no writing process is complete without a glass of wine.
Asked if there’s a particular food or drink that got her through the book-writing process, she said: “I usually make all the recipes first, and I’m just tasting my own food all day. Honestly, by the end of it, I can’t even tell if something’s too salty anymore. During the actual writing process, I definitely have a glass of wine. [My recipes] always have a story. And I feel that telling stories always deserves a glass of wine.”
Chrissy’s new cookbook is a follow-up to her 2016 tome ‘Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat’ which was a New York Times bestseller, and says she felt pressure to make this one just as good.
She told Entertainment Weekly: “Oh my God, it can only go downhill, right? John [Legend] said he has the same problem with his albums. The first one does really well and you wonder, ‘If I make changes, will it do as well?’ I don’t want the book to be more of the same. I want it to stand out as having clearly different themes, like I traveled more or got more refined in my techniques.”

Susan Boyle to take part in America’s Got Talent: The Champions

OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Boyle is set to take part in ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’.
The 57-year-old singer stunned audiences with her powerful voice when she took part in ITV talent show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2009 – where she eventually placed second behind dance troupe Diversity – and it has now been revealed she’ll take to the stage once again as she’s signed up for an all-star series of the programme’s American equivalent.
‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ will be judged by creator Simon Cowell, alongside Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B, and will see notable contestants from ‘Got Talent’ shows all around the world compete for the top spot.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Simon was delighted Susan agreed to come back.”
The return to screens will mark the first public appearance in some time for the star, who has had a rocky couple of years.
In 2016, the singer – who is most known for her cover of Les Miserables hit ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ – was removed from Heathrow Airport after she got into a heated argument with a staff member in the British Airways lounge on her way back to her home in Scotland.
And last year, it was revealed she had been the victim of torment from a gang of up to 15 teenagers who targeted her in her hometown of Blackburn, West Lothian.
In once instance, the teens set light to paper and threw it at her, but Susan is determined to fight back and refuses to let the bullies push her out of her home.
She said: “They have been shouting at me, taunting, saying vile things, swearing. And on one occasion they were throwing things at the bus I was sitting on.
“I love my house, it’s where I grew up. Why would I move out because of a group of teenagers who behave like that? They are bullies who shout and throw things, but it is my home and where I feel safe.
“I love my neighbours, they are the most beautiful group of people who always look out for me and make sure I am OK. It’s where I grew up with my mum and dad and it has memories. Why should I move because of a group of daft laddies, who at 15 years old should know to behave better?”

Ben Affleck ‘committed to getting better’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck is “staying longer” in rehab because he’s “committed to getting better”.
The ‘Justice League’ actor checked himself into rehab for alcohol addiction one month ago on August 22 following an intervention from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner – with whom he has Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six – and sources have said he’s “trying very hard” to battle his “demons”, and will stay in the treatment facility for longer in order to make sure he tackles “the root of his addiction”.
An insider said: “He is trying very hard to work on himself and get to the root of his addiction.
“He has a lot of demons but he wants to understand himself and have the results be different this time. He is committed to staying longer which is a very positive development. He is taking strides to better himself and is hopeful about the future. He is taking advantage of getting help and is happy with the way it’s going.”
Ben, 46, is also said to be committing to a longer stay in rehab in order to make sure he can continue to be “the best father” to his brood.
The source added to E! News: “He always wants to be the best father and this relapse put his family back in the public eye. He takes this all very seriously and will continue to.”
The ‘Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ actor previously entered rehab in 2001 and 2017, and after his stint last year he revealed in a lengthy Facebook post that he is determined to make a “positive recovery”.
At the time, he said: “I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step.
“I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I’ve done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.”

Emmerdale to air flash forward episode

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ will air a special flash forward sequence next week as part of Grace Kirk’s “traumatic” storyline.
Chas Dingle – played by Lucy Pargeter – will give birth to her and Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt) daughter next week but the youngster, who has been diagnosed with bilateral renal agenesis, will only be alive for 20 minutes.
Part of the scenes will see Paddy imaging the trio’s life together throughout Grace’s childhood as if she had survived.
Lucy said: “The episode is like a fantasy flash forward. So it’s Grace when she has just been born, then at 1, at 4 and then 12.
“It’s the kind of things they would have done with her if she’d have still been around – it’s in their heads in the delivery room after she’s just been born. They’re thinking about all of the things that they won’t get to do with her. They kind of go there with her in their minds.”
The 41-year-old actress found it both “traumatic” and “beautiful” shooting the hard-hitting birth and death scenes.
She added to Digital Spy: “It was traumatic, but it was beautiful filming it. When you are pregnant, you do think about all of the things you are going to do with your child, so it’s nice in a way to have been able to see some of that – and the kids were absolutely gorgeous.
“The episode needs the lightness. We have had a massive build-up of how awful it is going to be, so to have that lightness is a relief. It’s bittersweet to the audience and characters.”
Lucy recently admitted she hasn’t needed any help to cry while filming the scenes.
She said: “I’ve had emotional stuff to do and if the emotions don’t come naturally then we normally use a little trigger stick in your eye, jab that in and it makes them water and then you can act the rest, but in this storyline I haven’t had to do any of the false things – the emotions have been there.”

Catherine Tyldesley’s ‘mortifying’ camping trip

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tyldesley has been left “mortified” after her husband and son suggested they all go camping together.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star has managed to convince her significant other Tom Pitfield and three-year-old son Alfie to compromise by suggesting they go glamping – a more luxurious form of camping – instead.
She wrote on Twitter: “My boys want to go camping… obvs I’m mortified. So I’m meeting them half way… recommendations for #Glamping up North please?!?! (sic)”
Catherine’s compromise comes after she threatened her husband with never seeing her breasts ever again recently when he suggested she unblock their toilet by hand.
She took to her Instagram to share an image of a What’s App exchange with her hubby, which read: “Babe toilet is BLOCKED (sic)”
Tom replied: “Get your hand down there
“Empty the paper into a plastic bag
“Job done (sic)”
But she replied: “If you EVER want to see my boobs again you’ll retract that stupid suggestion. I’m a princess Tom. A PRINCESS. Ffs…. (sic)”
Catherine – who played Eva Price on the cobbles for seven years – then joked Tom was feeling “deluded”.
She added the caption: “Christ… my husband is quite clearly deluded this morning … as IF (sic)”
The former ‘Corrie’ star recently admitted she was hoping to spend more time with Tom and Alfie after quitting Weatherfield.
She said: “For the rest of the year I am looking forward to spending time with my family.”

Nick Miles’ Emmerdale strip nerves

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Miles felt as “nervous as a kitten” ahead of stripping off in ‘Emmerdale’ scenes today (25.09.18).
The 55-year-old star admits he “loves” his job portraying Jimmy King on the ITV soap, but was feeling somewhat apprehensive last night (24.09.18) about baring all in scenes set in fictional pub The Woolpack this morning, and revealed his character shows off more than he would “normally be comfortable with”.
He tweeted: “7.30 call in The Woolpack tomorrow with some of my favourite muckers. Going to be revealing more about myself than I’d normally be comfortable with. Need to sleep, nervous as a kitten. Firstest of first world problems #lovemyjob (sic)”
Nick’s ‘Emmerdale’ co-star Samantha Giles – who plays Jimmy’s sister-in-law Bernice Blackstock – joked that it was a good job he had been given a full body wax ahead of his big reveal.
She wrote: “Thank god we gave you the ‘bac sac and crac’……#mowingthelawn (sic)”
But Nick admitted he hadn’t really been waxed and is currently “hairier than a coconut”.
He tweeted: “Umm, you didn’t though, were you supposed to? I’m hairier than a very hairy coconut! (sic)”
Samantha quipped: “Mmmmmm. We may have missed a bit. There was a lot to cover. (sic)”
But it’s not the first time Nick has admitted he feels nervous about portraying Jimmy.
In May, the star said he still gets butterflies shooting scenes as his character at times – despite playing the role for 14 years.
He wrote on Twitter: “First day back at #Emmerdale today after my hols. It’s a five line scene on location in which I have one line. After fourteen years playing Jimmy King I still have butterflies. #lovemyjob (sic)”

Suki Waterhouse likes getting to know people on set

OHMYGOSSIP — Suki Waterhouse says the best thing about making films is “getting to know someone”.
The 26-year-old actress loves being able to strike up a friendship with her fellow castmates and it was no different on thriller movie ‘Assassination Nation’.
She said: “One of the best thing about making films, for me, is that I love just getting to know someone. I want to know all of their s**t, straight away. I don’t know what that’s about, but that’s literally my favourite thing. We just get to know each other so quickly … Every day was an absolute whirlwind, whether it was getting beat up, or Hari in a pool, trying to nail gun someone.”
And Suki admits there was one really tough scene physically.
Asked if there was a particular scene that was most challenging to film, she added: “Me and Abra had a scene where we were taken out of our house and slammed against the cars, but I do quite enjoy that stuff because it’s just so physical. It’s scary. There were moments when our producer, Kevin [Turen], would have a complete freak-out when that was happening, being like, ‘Are you guys okay?,’ and not really knowing if we were. That stuff is really exerting. It’s all challenging.”
The blonde beauty feels grateful to have had a director like Sam Levinson because he makes you want “to do well for him”.
She told Collider.com: “We could talk to Sam. We were all so incredibly open, with each other and with Sam. Having a director like that, you want to do well for him. You feel safe with him and you can talk to him about anything because he’s non-judgmental. He’s had a crazy past of his own, and he’s been on an interesting journey.”
