Howard Stern: Sharon Osbourne was ‘paid off’ to keep X Factor departure quiet

OHMYGOSSIP — Howard Stern claims Sharon Osbourne received a pay-off to leave ‘The X Factor’ quietly.
The 65-year-old star confirmed this week she would be quitting the ITV talent competition – where she was due to join the judging panel for the live shows – as she said it “felt odd” to appear at such a late stage of the programme.
Sharon’s exit followed her explosive rant last month where she insulted both boss Simon and the show during an appearance on ‘The Howard Stern Show’, and now the radio host has hinted that she was paid to keep her “mouth shut” in her leaving statement.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column, Howard said: “Maybe … if you get paid off or something – if you keep your mouth shut, you get money. Next time we see Sharon we have got to ask her about that.
“They ask for an opinion. And look, I was on America’s Got Talent for four years, so I know the score. If you do give a real opinion they edit it out.
“Sharon was just being honest. It is all horses***. That is why she is a good judge and that is why I love working with her.”
In her rant, Sharon claimed Simon would do anything to get his “fat face” on television, before claiming she wanted to “drown” him and branded the show a “f***ing karaoke.”
Asked who she would save if they were on a sinking ship, Sharon joked at the time: “We would put a f***ing brick around his neck and throw him over. I will drown you mother f***er. Absolutely…he’s gone.”
But when announcing her departure from the show, she simply said “decided to pass” on taking part this year, and dubbed Simon as “gracious”.
In a statement shared on Facebook, she said: “After watching the new season #XFactor unfold, I’ve seen the new judges finding their rhythm and are doing brilliantly.
“Simon was so gracious to find me a spot on the live shows but at this point I really don’t think I’m needed and I would honestly feel odd coming in at this point. So I have decided to pass on the series this year.
“I wish the show continued success and as much as I love to get my face on TV you will have to do without me this season.”

Chris Hemsworth’s ‘gross’ wealth

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth feels “gross” about his wealth.
The 35-year-old actor has admitted that despite finding huge success in Hollywood, he finds his fortune uncomfortable to deal with, as he doesn’t want his children – India, six, and twins Tristan and Sasha, four, whom he has with his wife Elsa Pataky – to become “privileged” because of their parents’ wealth.
Chris said: “I feel gross about it. I remember saving up for a surfboard when I was younger. The surfboard was 600 bucks and I saved up for a whole year with Dad’s help. I didn’t even want to surf on it for fear of damaging it. It taught me so many lessons about appreciation and working hard for something.
“When I think about my kids, I don’t want them to miss that joy. Elsa [Pataky] and I talk a lot about how we instill that same appreciation and respect for things. I don’t want them to feel like they’re privileged in any way. The fact that we have money and their parents are famous, that somehow they’re special, that scares me because we grew up with no money.”
The ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ star touched down in Los Angeles with dreams of becoming a Hollywood star just 11 years ago, and says he now understands that money played a big part in his decision to pursue acting in movies.
He added: “Once you get the jobs, you wonder did you actually just want to be famous? Was it purely about money? An artistic expression? I’ve arrived at a place of truth and while the attraction was a few things, one was definitely financially. I did not want to be broke, like we’d been broke when we grew up. I wanted to take care of my parents and my family.”
And now that he has financial stability, the Hollywood hunk puts his brood above everything else.
Speaking to GQ Australia, he said: “I do wonder sometimes, if [Pataky and I] hadn’t met, what my career would look like. Have I made decisions based on that? How has that influenced me? There’s times when I’ve thought, ‘Wow, because having kids is more important to me, some of my roles have suffered.’ There’s definitely a couple of films I could’ve put way more energy into but I was like, ‘No, I’d rather be with my kids.'”

Kendall Jenner looks ‘very together’ with Anwar Hadid

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner reportedly looked “very very together” with Anwar Hadid during Paris Fashion Week.
The 22-year-old model has reportedly been romancing the 19-year-old younger brother of her close friends Gigi and Bella Hadid since she split from sports star Ben Simmons over the summer.
According to sources, the rumoured couple looked “very together” whilst at the fashion extravaganza in the French capital over the weekend, and one insider even says the romance has been approved by Gigi, 23, and Bella, 21.
The source told People magazine: “They actually kind of like it. They all hang out together and Gigi and Bella actually think they’re good together. Their friends think it’s a little weird, but it works.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star was spotted with Anwar last month after having previously been spotted locking lips at the CFDA Awards after-party at the Socialista nightclub in New York City in June this year, before Kendall went on to date Ben, whom she split with in late August.
After being spotted getting close last month, sources insisted the pair weren’t “affectionate” during their meet up, as they met with mutual friends.
One source said: “Kendall seems great. She’s spending time with Anwar. She obviously likes him, but both nights they were with a group of friends. She wasn’t affectionate with Anwar.”
Meanwhile, it was reported in August Kendall had “cooled things off” with Ben, because she was never looking for anything serious due to how busy her catwalk career is and she just wanted a relaxed summer “fling.”
A source said: “She always wanted to keep her options open.
“She likes Ben but she knew it was more of a summer fling.
“They both have busy careers and it is what it is.
“Kendall isn’t looking for anything serious. She had fun with Ben, but wasn’t ever fully committed or looking for a long-term, exclusive relationship.”

Kim Kardashian West: My sisters fight whilst watching our show

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West says she and her sisters “start fighting all over again” when they watch their reality show.
The 37-year-old beauty stars on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ with her famous family, and says that when she and her siblings – including Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner – watch the show when it airs, they often end up fighting about the same arguments that unfold in each episode, despite the months that have passed since they were filmed.
She said: “When you watch it, you get heated all over again. We literally start fighting all over again over the same thing.”
Although the show reminds the siblings of their disagreements, Kim adds that there’s never any lasting animosity between the family.
She added during an appearance on Ashley Graham’s ‘Pretty Big Deal’ podcast: “Even if we like are so crazy mad at each other, it won’t be long before we’re all good. The fact that so many people text me even now if a rerun comes on, they’re like, ‘Are you and Kourtney okay?’ And I’m like, ‘We went on vacation together. This has been months since we filmed that.'”
Kim’s comments come after an explosive argument during the season premiere of the reality show earlier this year between Kim and her older sister Kourtney, which continued onto Twitter whilst the episode was airing.
And the siblings are still exchanging jibes on social media, with Kim taking to Twitter last week to mock the way Kourtney, 39, speaks.
She wrote: “I hate how @kourtneykardash says issues. She like drags it (sic)”
To which Kourtney fired back, urging her sister to be kinder.
She responded: “Oh wow hate is a strong word. Let’s be positive today shall we?!”

Michael B. Jordan isn’t ‘comfortable’ with fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael B. Jordan still isn’t “comfortable” with his fame.
The 31-year-old actor has found success in movies including ‘Fantastic Four’, ‘Creed’, and most recently as the antagonist Erik Killmonger in summer blockbuster ‘Black Panther’, but despite his growing fame, Michael admits he’s still struggling to come to terms with being recognised.
Speaking to Variety magazine, he said: “Navigating and learning how to deal with this s**t, there’s nobody that really helped me. I’m not comfortable yet because the people around me aren’t comfortable, either, and it’s like I gotta get to a place where I’m like, ‘All right, the thing is moving on its own. The machine is running,’ you know what I’m saying?
“Once it starts to roll on its own, I can kinda start to live my life a little bit more, and that’s the sacrifice that people don’t really get,” he continued. “These people you see with these legacies, they don’t ever talk about what they sacrificed to get there. People think these things just happen. It’s not like that.
“They give up so much of their personal life, their love life, whatever, this, that, and personal things.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Wire’ actor recently revealed he’s already thinking about the “legacy” he’ll leave behind, because he knows life is “short”.
He said: “Legacy. Wanting to build one, wanting to leave something behind.
“Life is short, you know? You see cats who had their moment. Where are they now? Then you see cats people are still talking about today. God rest their souls – why are you still talking about them? Why are they still impacting the world today?
“I want to leave something behind. A blueprint. A work ethic. Something that my great-grandkids and their kids and their kids can see: This is where it started. Lineage. Intergenerational wealth. Things that are here forever. All that.”

Nicki Minaj says domestic violence made her ‘abrasive’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicki Minaj says witnessing domestic violence from a young age is the reason for her “abrasive” character.
The 35-year-old rap star has spoken candidly about the issue in her upcoming ‘Queen’ documentary, revealing how her father’s behaviour towards her mother shaped her own personality.
A visibly emotional Nicki shared: “I remember when my mother would let my father be violent with her, and she always brings up this story … as a little girl, I would stand in front of my mother, and go like this [with my arms out].
“That’s why I’m like, maybe some people would describe me as abrasive, or b**chy or whatever, because I vowed from that age, no man would ever be with me and call me out my name, treat me like that … And then all of the sudden, that was my life.”
The controversial rapper also discussed her own abusive relationship, revealing how it caused her to lose self-confidence.
She said: “Who was I going to inspire when I had nothing in me to give?
“I let one human being make me so low, that I didn’t even remember who I was. I was scared to get in the studio. I didn’t believe in myself.”
By contrast, Nicki – who is rumoured to be dating sports star Lewis Hamilton – recently admitted that she is closer to marriage and having kids than people might think.
The rap star said she is eager to settle down and start a family in the near future.
The ‘Barbie Dreams’ hitmaker explained: “I’ve got to get married first, then I’ll have a child. I might be closer than people think actually.
“I love children. I’m not going to put that off for much longer.”

Jada Pinkett Smith’s faith was tested by Will Smith’s bungee jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Jada Pinkett Smith’s faith was “truly tested” when her husband Will Smith did a bungee jump at the Grand Canyon.
The 47-year-old star admitted she was “a little nervous” during the adrenaline fuelled experience her man took on to celebrate his 50th birthday, but even with the fear she described it as a “really great moment”.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “There was only one road out and that was out of that helicopter on a bungee.
“It was a really great moment for me, because it’s one of those moments where your faith is truly tested. When I saw him fly outside the helicopter, that’s when I got a little nervous because I didn’t know that was happening, it wasn’t actually the jump.”
Jada added that she accepted it was “beyond” her control, but explained she felt like she’d done enough with her faith that Will would survive the leap.
She said: “But you know, he is covered. He is good. And I was really strong in that. So I was like, Jada, you have done some work. You and your source connection is A-OK. Yeah, I was like, it’s beyond my hands now.”
The experience last week – which was streamed live on the actor’s YouTube channel – left Will with feelings of both “absolute terror and magnificent bliss”.
He said while dangling on the rope: “This is some of the most beautiful stuff I have ever seen in my life.
“Nothing will ever be scarier than that. It goes from complete absolute terror to the most magnificent bliss you’ve ever felt.”
Will undertook the bungee jump as part of a partnership between the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation and Global Citizen to support their ongoing advocacy work on education that allows them to support Education Cannot Wait, a global initiative that provides millions of children in crisis-affected areas access to education.

Kim Kardashian West reveals what she’d change about Kanye West

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West says Kanye West falls asleep “everywhere”.
The 37-year-old reality star – who has shared snaps on social media of her man dropping off in many different situations – has admitted her husband even dozed off in a restaurant during her “first fashion dinner”.
Revealing the one thing she’d like to change about the 41-year-old rapper she told Ashley Graham’s podcast ‘Pretty Big Deal’: “I would say Kanye is definitely a little bit narcoleptic.
“He falls asleep, like, everywhere… My first fashion dinner when he was introducing us to people, they hardly spoke English and we were in France and he falls asleep at the dinner table in a restaurant.”
However, the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ beauty admitted there are definitely things about her that Kanye would also like to change.
She said: “He’d prefer me not to curse. I do curse a lot. He would probably like it if I sent him sexy pictures more often. Yeah, I gotta get with it.”
Kim opened up on their life as a couple, and insisted the pair – who married in 2014 and have children North, five, Saint, two, and eight-month-old Chicago together – have a normal relationship.
She explained: “We just sit in bed at nighttime and watch ‘Family Feud’ or whatever.
“Or we fight because he wants to watch ‘Rick and Morty’, and I’m like, ‘Can we please watch, like, the Long Island Medium?'”
Her comments come after reports claiming Kim was embarrassed” by Kanye’s recent outburst when he went on a rant about President Donald Trump – whom he has supported since he won the 2016 presidential election – during his appearance on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
A source told People.com: “Having all this backlash against Kanye is embarrassing for her and her family, but she will never say that. She supports Kanye through and through and truly thinks her husband is entitled to his own opinion.”

Anna Faris feels ‘guilty’ about her son’s first day of school

OHMYGOSSIP — Anna Faris felt “guilty” that she wasn’t more emotional about her son’s first day of school.
The 41-year-old actress – who has her six-year-old son Jack with ex-husband Chris Pratt – has revealed that despite the first day of school being a landmark occasion for many parents, she wasn’t overly-emotional about it.
She shared: “I feel really guilty that I wasn’t more anxious.
“It feels like all of the other parents were really anxious and the kindergarten teachers are asking, ‘Oh, is everything gonna be okay?’ I felt like, can’t we just drop him off?”
Anna explained that with Jack having already attended pre-school, she wasn’t daunted by the thought of him being left in the care of someone else.
She told ‘The Talk’: “Chris and I walked him there and we were trying not to transfer any hint of anxiety,.
Then, Anna jokingly added: “Not that I was having it, clearly. I was like, ‘I gotta get to work, kid!'”
The Hollywood star – who was marred to Chris from 2009 until earlier this year – still remembers the “mom guilt feeling” she experienced on the day.
She explained: “He just ran in and was like, ‘Bye guys!’ It was that funny mom guilt feeling, where I feel like this should emotionally tug at me more than it is.”
Anna and Chris have maintained an amicable relationship since they announced their split in a joint statement.
Part of their statement read: “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.
“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

Noel Edmonds fails to get TV advert banned

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Edmonds has failed in his bid to have a TV advert banned.
The veteran presenter is locked in a dispute with Lloyds Bank over its handling of the HBOS fraud scandal, but Noel’s efforts to have the company’s black horse adverts – which feature a horse running past a memorial service – banned have been dismissed by the Advertising Standards Authority.
Noel, 69, says the fraud led to the collapse of his entertainment firm Unique Group more than a decade ago.
The TV star argued that the ad – which features a voiceover saying, “We have been and always will be by your side” – is misleading.
But the regulatory body has dismissed the complaint, saying that the “by your side” line was merely “advertising puffery”.
The body added that it did not believe viewers “would interpret the claim to be a commentary on the situation of the victims of the HBOS fraud case, or to think that it was directly connected to their engagement with Lloyds Bank in 2018”.
A statement added: “We did not consider the details of the HBOS fraud case to be material information that needed to be included in the ad to prevent customers from being misled.”
Meanwhile, Noel previously admitted that the collapse of his business caused him to attempt to take his own life.
He said: “I seek no sympathy and feel no shame in admitting that on the evening of January 18th 2005 I attempted to end the overwhelming mental pain which had consumed my whole being.”

Olly Murs had therapy over X Factor blunder backlash

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs went to therapy over his ‘X Factor’ blunder.
The talent show star made headlines in 2015 when he accidentally mixed up the judges’ scores and made a premature announcement that Monica Michael was being sent home.
Although he “laughed off” the mistake at first, he admitted to the Evening Standard: “The papers didn’t laugh it off — they made a massive deal about it. The media attention, and the social media aspect, upset me the most.
“They really tried to take me to the cleaners. They tried to make me lose my job over a silly, small mistake.
“And when I went back to singing, it made me overthink what I was doing: ‘I’m going to forget the lyrics, what I’m doing … So that was something I needed to speak to a therapist about. And I’m not scared to admit that — that’s the stigma that men have.”
Earlier this year, Olly – who is now a coach on rival singing competition ‘The Voice’ – admitted the mishap still bothers him.
He previously said: “Making that mistake always annoys me.”
At the time of the incident, ‘X Factor’ boss Simon defended the ‘Dance With Me Tonight’ hitmaker and insisted he handled the situation in a “great” way.
He explained: “There were a lot of people screaming in his ears, they were trying to get him to clarify something. Anyone in that situation is going to screw up.
“I think the way he handled it was great, it’s part of his charm. I think every week he’s getting better and better. People have got to get used to it but he’s got a massive future ahead of him, 100% he’s still got my support.”
Olly – who was runner-up on the show in 2009 – had taken to social media immediately after the gaff, and apologised to viewers with a blunt tweet.
He tweeted: “I apologise to everyone tonight I made a massive f%#k up at the end. It was so tense!! I’m still learning & hope that never happens again! (sic).”

Suge Knight claims Dr. Dre tried to have him murdered

OHMYGOSSIP — Suge Knight claims Dr. Dre tried to have him murdered.
The 53-year-old rap mogul – who recently accepted a plea deal for the 2015 manslaughter of a man – believes the producer hired two men to kill him, leading to the events that led to death of Terry Carter at Tam’s Burgers in Compton.
The row between Suge and Dre stems back to the 1990s, when they ended their business relationship. The Death Row Records co-founder claimed he had a lifetime deal with the ‘No Diggity’ hitmaker to collect 30% of his earnings, including a stake in the producer’s $3 billion deal between Apple and Beats.
And Suge told The Blast that, because he tried to claim his money, Dre put out a hit on him on the day he ran over Terry, but believes that was put in place because he survived a 2014 nightclub shooting that left him with multiple gunshot wounds.
He said: “They also got the paper trail with all the cheques and proof of when they talked to the witnesses saying that Dre came to them first and asked the two guys how much it cost to get rid of me.
“And they said, ‘What you mean by get rid of?’ And they said, ‘Kill him.’ ”
Suge – who was behind bars for three-and-a-half years before striking a deal last month – claimed he had no choice in making the agreement ahead of a murder trial because his attorney warned him he wouldn’t be capable of successfully fighting his corner in court.
He explained: “So when they gave me an attorney, he seen me two times in eight months and told me he went to the court and said he needed help and other attorneys. And they told him no. He said no way he can do my trial because he really don’t know the case and he won’t win.
“So if somebody stacks the deck against you, to the point where they’re not trying to fight for you, and let you get the attorneys you wish to have, what can you do?”
While Suge – who has been hospitalised multiple times while in prison – is unlikely to get out of jail until he’s at least 70, he’s confident he will see the light of day again.
He said: “Absolutely. Of course.”
He is due to be sentenced on Thursday (04.10.18) and said he is looking forward to moving to a more permanent facility because he hasn’t received proper medical attention since he’d been behind bars.
A spokesperson for Dre declined to comment.

OHMYGOSSIP — Muse will play a special show at the Royal Albert Hall for the Prince’s Trust.
The ‘Pressure’ hitmakers have announced details of the one-off charity show at the iconic London venue on December 3, and for the band it will be a chance to give back to an organisation that helped them in their early years.
Frontman Matt Bellamy said: “For a long time, we’ve admired the work of The Prince’s Trust.
“When we were starting out as a band the Trust actually gave us a small grant to buy our first PA system, which I still have to this day.
“It really helped set us up on the right road and we’re delighted to be able to play a show to raise funds for them.”
Tickets for the show go on sale on October 12 at 9am, and organisers have confirmed ID ticketing will be in operation with tickets limited to just two per person, and re-sale being done through Twickets.

Meanwhile, the charity’s chief executive voiced the organisation’s pride in helping Muse early on.
Nick Stace added: “We’re incredibly proud to count the band Muse among our alumni here at The Prince’s Trust, and thrilled that they are putting on this special concert in aid of the charity. The show will raise vital funds for the work we do at The Prince’s Trust to help young people reach their potential and achieve their dreams.”

The 37-year-old presenter will host an eight-part series called ‘Project Interiors’ on BBC Two and Netflix as 10 fledgling competitors tackle design challenges and compete to win a life-changing contract with a prestigious commercial client.
The blonde beauty said: “I’m thrilled to be part of this new show. With such a love of interiors, art and design this show couldn’t be any more up my street.
“The designers on the show are so talented, so it’s going to be really creatively inspiring with loads of wow moments.”
The series will be judged by former Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration magazine, Michelle Ogundehin as each week she enlists the help of a special guest – including the likes of Mary Portas, Jade Jagger and Matthew Williamson – to help her decide who has achieved the best design and who will be leaving the show.

Jane Danson has joined the ‘Dancing on Ice’ line-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Danson has joined the ‘Dancing on Ice’ line-up.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who is known for playing Leanne Battersby in the long-running soap – has confirmed she’s set to take part in the forthcoming series of the skating show, which will return to screens early next year, and is excited for the “challenge” ahead – although she’s trying not to think about getting “damaged.”
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (04.10.18), she said: “I’ve known since July so quite a while, so I’ve had to keep it under my hat for a long time. The next few days I’ll be starting the training. I can skate a little bit. I think, obviously, when you take on something like this, you’ve got to expect that it’s not without risks but I’m not really thinking about that because I’m seeing it as a challenge.”
And the 39-year-old star already has an advantage as she’s been speaking with her cast mates Samia Longchambon, Brooke Vincent and Antony Cotton – who have all appeared on the show before – and getting some tips from them.
She explained: “There’s a few of us from the cast who have been involved in the show before so I am getting loads of tips from Samia and Brooke and I’ve spoken to Anthony. I’ve got a real lovely support from the cast, which has been lovely.”
Jane joins the likes of former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan,
TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, Boyzone’s Brian McFadden, Loose Women’s Saira Khan, Richard Blackwood, Melody Thornton, Mark Little, and cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, who have also been confirmed for the new series.
The last series – the first since it was axed in 2014 by ITV – saw the judging panel made up of skating champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, acid tongue Jason Gardiner and Diversity’s Ashley Banjo, but it’s not yet been confirmed whether all four will reclaim their seats on the panel this time around.
However, former Olympic skater Karen Barber will reclaim her head coach position on the 11th series of the show after she missed out on the job this year.
She explained: “It’s a joy to return.”

Nicolas Cage hired a “drinking coach” to help him prepare for ‘Leaving Las Vegas’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicolas Cage hired a “drinking coach” to help him prepare for ‘Leaving Las Vegas’.
The 54-year-old actor was accompanied to the set of the 1995 movie by a family friend who was always “very drunk” and he spent hours studying his behaviour and noting the “poetic” things he said in order to incorporate them into his performance as an alcoholic Hollywood writer in the movie.
He said in a video for GQ magazine: “My cousin, Roman Coppola, said, ‘You should go, hire Tony Dingman’ – who was at that time, very drunk and also a poet – ‘Hire him to be your drinking coach.’
“So I had him on the set with me all the time, the poor guy, curled up in a foetal position in my trailer while I played bongos, I was trying to get some rhythm for the character.
“But I would watch him and he’d say the most poetic things, like, ‘You do not kick the bar, you lean into the bar because it’s not ‘Vino Veritas, it’s In Vino Veritas’, he’d just spout all these things out and I put them in the movie.”
And Nicolas – who won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award for his performance – admitted there were some scenes he shot while “completely hammered” because he wanted to be as “credible” as possible.
He said: “It was a four-week shoot – thank God it was a only four-week shoot – because there were a few scenes where I wanted to be hammered.
“Because I wanted to be out of control and have them photograph that so I could reach that credibility, that authenticity.
“The scene that comes to mind is the casino scene, where I flipped the table and had a blackout because I didn’t know I was going to go there, I just wanted something extraordinary happen and they kept it in the movie.”
And on another of his movies, ‘Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans’, the actor took to carrying around a vial of “saccharine substitute” that looked “like coke”, much to the astonishment of director Werner Herzog.
He said: “I’d try and snort this and get into the headspace. Werner and everyone’s getting a little flipped out about my psych-up process to get this scene because I’m going nuts and high on ‘coke’.”
And even when questioned about the ‘cocaine’, he refused to break character to reassure his bosses.
He continued: “Werner said, ‘Now, Nicolas, what is in that vial?’ This is right before action, I don’t have to say it’s not coke because it’s gonna break the imagination, I’m psyching myself up – I was completely dry on that movie – but he broke my concentration.
“I [shouted in character], ‘Coke! Now get off my set! Get out of New Orleans! This is my city!’
“Then they said ‘Action,’ and I was the guy, I was in that headspace.”
