OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Byrne has been fired from ‘The Apprentice’.
The BBC reality show returned to screens on Wednesday (03.10.18), and for the 29-year-old former actress and owner of the Children’s Acting Academy, her journey to become Lord Alan Sugar’s next business partner was short lived, as she found herself becoming the first contestant to be fired from the show’s new series.
The first episode saw the group of business hopefuls head to Malta, and compete as boys versus girls in their first task, which was to locate nine items and negotiate the best prices.
Jasmine Kundra was chosen as the Project Manager for the girls’ team, and after losing to the boys, she decided to bring Sarah and Jackie Fast with her to the boardroom, where Lord Sugar chose to give Sarah the boot after Claude Littner described her as “disruptive”.
Speaking in the taxi after her elimination, Sarah said she felt Jasmine should have gone instead because she “talks the talk but doesn’t deliver the results”.
She added: “Let me tell you something, I’m going to go out [and] I’m going to strive for success and this is definitely not going to be the last of me.”
During the episode, Sarah clashed with her fellow candidates on several points, including the negotiations of a filigree boat.
The actress – who once starred in ‘Shameless’ – also accused Jasmine of “talking down to her” during a spat which occurred just moments before they entered the boardroom.
Sarah later said she didn’t think the other candidates saw her as a businesswoman because of her background in acting.
She told Standard Online: “I think that, you know, there is a stereotype and how a businesswoman or man should be and look and stereotypically I don’t fit into that category.
“I’m very working class and down-to-earth and there’s no airs and graces in me.
“I think sometimes when you step into a room with people that are stereotypical and do speak very well, it sometimes shocks people and puts them out their comfort zone.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Hudson has given birth to her baby daughter.
The 39-year-old actress and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa have welcomed their first child together, after their daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa was born on Tuesday (02.10.18).
Taking to Instagram to welcome her new arrival, Kate – who also has sons Ryder, 14, and Bingham, seven, from previous relationships – wrote: “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.
“Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
The ‘Almost Famous’ star announced she was expecting a baby girl with Danny in April, with an adorable gender reveal video posted to social media.
She captioned the clip at the time: SURPRISE!!! If you’ve wondered why I’ve been so absent on my social channels it’s because I have never been more sick! It was the most sick first trimester of all my children. Boomerangs have made me nauseous, Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food instagrams make me queezy and thinking too much about insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been. If you’ve seen me out and about smiling and pretending like everything is amazing…I was lying! BUT! I have broken through on the other end of that and rediscovering the joys of insta/snap. OHMYGOSSIP — Mischa Barton is reportedly joining ‘The Hills’ reboot.
The 32-year-old actress is known for starring in teen drama series ‘The O.C.’ – which ran from 2003 to 2007 – but she’s now set to take on reality television as she’s been lined up for the reboot of the popular MTV series, which will air in 2019 and will be subtitled as ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’.
A TV insider told The New York Post’s Page Six column: “She was around back in the day and went to all the clubs. She could make for good TV.”
Mischa will be joining the likes of Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Partridge, and Brody Jenner on the rebooted show, after several of the returning cast took to social media to confirm their roles.
Brody – who is the son of Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner – will appear on the show with his wife Kaitlynn Carter Jenner, and after rumours of their involvement surfaced in August, he took to Instagram in September to confirm his return.
Posting a picture of the Sunset Strip with his head shot adorning one of the buildings, the 35-year-old reality star wrote: “Don’t call it a comeback. THE HILLS: New Beginings coming soon to @mtv #haterswillsayitsphotoshopped (sic)”
And a source later added: “They are excited to be a part of the show.
“Everybody wants Brody to come back. He was such a big part of the show. It truly wouldn’t be the same without him.”
Stephanie Pratt, 32, previously took to Instagram to announce that she will also be involved, saying: “I am so excited to start filming #TheHills #NewBeginnings #MTV with my friends & family! it’s going to be EPIC @mtvthehills.”
Whilst Whitney Port confirmed her involvement when she wrote: “Throw back to my first VMAs look. Good thing I get to go back and make up for my insane looks on #thehills on the NEW HILLS REBOOT!!! Maybe they’ll let me out of the fashion closet this time. #mtv. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Hart’s family is his “priority”.
The 39-year-old actor is currently married to his second wife Eniko Parrish, with whom he has 10-month-old son Kenzo Kash, and has said that whilst he loves his career, his main priority is his family and loved ones.
He said: “Family is my priority. Nothing comes before them. They are the reason why I work; they are the reason why I give it 110 percent every day.”
The ‘Night School’ actor – who also has daughter Heaven, 13, and son Hendrix, 10, with his ex-wife Torrei Hart – doesn’t want to give up his career for the sake of spending more time with his brood though, as he’s determined to keep on appealing to a “wide range of people” by being as “relatable” as he can be.
Speaking to Haute Time magazine, he said: “It’s important for me to have a wide range of people who can understand my humour and ‘get’ me. What I’ve found in the years I’ve spent doing this is that being myself is what gets the most laughs. To this day, that’s what’s worked because it’s relatable, so I don’t plan on altering that anytime soon.”
Kevin’s comments come after he recently admitted he is thankful for his 34-year-old wife Eniko, after she stuck by him when a former friend allegedly tried to extort him over a video of him with another woman.
He said: “The friendship that I have with my wife is insane. Yes, that’s my wife, we’re lovers, it’s a relationship, it’s marriage…but the friendship we have is like no other.
“Our marriage has been put to the test. It’s the most difficult test ever. And, you know, sometimes those tests come from stupidity. But it’s how you handle it, and how you decide to move forward from it.
“I applaud my wife for just displaying a high level of strength that I can’t even explain. I applaud her for being my backbone, my support system, and more importantly, taking my life to the next level.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t think she’d marry again before meeting Brad Falchuck.
The 46-year-old actress – who was previously married to Chris Martin, with whom she has kids Apple, 14, and Moses, 12 – tied the knot with the television producer over the weekend, and has admitted that whilst she wasn’t sure if she wanted to marry again following her divorce from Coldplay frontman Chris, Brad made her realise some people are “worth making the commitment to”.
She said: “For a while, I thought, I don’t know if I’d ever do it again. I have my kids – what’s the point?
“I met this incredible man, who made me think, no, this person is worth making this commitment to. I’m very much the marrying kind. I love being a wife. I love making a home.”
The ‘Iron Man’ actress says being married is just “the beginning”, as she claims she and Brad have now created a “third entity” by tying the knot which they need to “nourish and look after”.
She told the November issue of Marie Claire magazine: “I think that marriage is a really beautiful, noble and worthwhile institution, pursuit and endeavour. Because I don’t think you get married and that’s it – I think it’s the beginning. You create this third entity, this third being that you have to nourish and look after.”
Gwyneth and the ‘Glee’ creator married during an intimate but star-studded ceremony in The Hamptons on Saturday (29.09.18), with guests including Robert Downey Jr., Jerry Seinfeld, Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden, and director Steven Spielberg, who served as the unofficial videographer.
Recently, a source described the wedding as an “incredibly romantic” occasion.
They said: “Gwyneth has wanted this for a very long time, you could tell this meant the world to her.
“The atmosphere was incredibly romantic. The flowers were beautifully arranged on the tables with crystal wine glasses and candles. It was a very Hamptons, outdoorsy feel. The weather was glorious so it truly was a perfect scene.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West’s insurance company is suing her former bodyguard and his employer for more than $6 million.
The 37-year-old reality TV star was robbed at gun point in Paris, France, in 2016 and Pascal Duvier – as well as the private security firm he works for, PROTECTSECURITY – has been hit with a lawsuit worth $6,116,067 by AIG.
The insurance firm – which is seeking to recover the money it paid out to Kim for the jewellery stolen during the robbery – says Pascal “negligently, carelessly, and/or recklessly performed their protection, security, monitoring, inspection, and/or surveying of” Kim and her hotel room.
The documents, which have been obtained by ‘Entertainment Tonight’, add: “As a result of Defendants’ failure to address and correct the various security breaches in the Hotel and leaving [Kardashian] in her hotel room alone … the masked men were able to enter the Hotel and rob [Kardashian] of her personal property. (sic)”
At the time of the incident, Kim – who is married to rap star Kanye West – was staying at the hotel with her sister Kourtney Kardashian and her entourage.
However, on the night of the robbery, Pascal left the property to accompany Kourtney to a nightclub, leaving Kim on her own.
The TV star was ambushed in her room and then forced to hand over her jewellery before she was gagged and left in the bathtub.
Eleven people have subsequently been arrested in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, Kim – who has kids North, five, Saint, two, and eight-month-old Chicago with Kanye – has subsequently suggested the robbery has changed her outlook on life.
In particular, the brunette beauty explained that she’s become more keen than ever to “live in the moment”.
She said: “I think I really attribute that experience that I had in Paris to helping me shut down and completely not worry about the digital world and live in the moment and at home and with my kids and my family and my husband.”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Goodman says his initial reaction to Roseanne Barr’s offensive tweet was that it “didn’t seem true”.
The veteran TV star had her eponymous sitcom cancelled by ABC after she likened Valerie Jarrett – a senior adviser to former US President Barack Obama – to an ape, and John has admitted to being in a state of shock over the offensive post.
He recalled: “It just didn’t seem true. Then it got true. I was consciously trying to accept it.”
Although the controversy led to Roseanne’s sacking and the cancellation of her show, John is now starring in a spin-off of the popular sitcom, ‘The Conners’.
And the 66-year-old actor has revealed he was eager to reprise the role of Dan Conner because he felt he still had some unfinished business with the character.
He told People magazine: “There was the feeling of not wanting it to go away until we were ready. There was a debt owed to this fictional family. We want to finish telling this story.”
Roseanne, 65, will not appear in the new series, having agreed to have no creative or financial ties to ‘The Conners’.
But John remains grateful to her for allowing the new series to be made without her.
He said: “That was a very big deal. To give us a chance.”
Last month, Roseanne thanked John for defending her following the tweet scandal.
The actress took to Twitter after her former co-star insisted she isn’t a racist.
Roseanne wrote: “I thank John Goodman for speaking truth about me, despite facing certain peril from producers and network.”
Prior to that, John said: “I know, I know for a fact that she’s not a racist. She was going through hell at the time. And she’s still going through hell.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Holderness thinks political correctness would stop ‘Only Fools and Horses’ from being made today.
The 69-year-old actress played the role of Marlene Boyce in the iconic British sitcom, but Sue doubts whether the programme would be a success in the #MeToo era.
The actress – whose on-screen character famously had her bum pinched by Del Boy – explained: “It’s a problem for writers. Would gentleman be allowed to pinch ladies’ bottoms without being slapped in the face and have a writ put on them? I don’t know.
“I must say I haven’t had my bottom pinched for a long time so gentlemen must be a little bit more nervous.
“People still shout ‘Marlene’ at me in the street. There were occasions where I’d get my bottom pinched by complete strangers, that, I’m happy to report has stopped, which might be because of my great age now. Perhaps I look too old.”
Sue also blasted people who have recently called the show racist.
Instead, she insisted the programme’s humour was “very innocent” and not at all “offensive”.
She told The Sun newspaper: “A lot of people on social media are saying ‘Only Fools’ is racist and there are lots of things you couldn’t have and I think it’s a pity that we’ve gone quite as politically correct as that.
“An awful lot of that stuff is funny and I find that very few people are actually offended, because if the joke’s good enough … It was really very innocent.
“And you absolutely knew Del and Rodney were not racist people, they were good eggs – none of it was offensive.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Young is returning to music.
The ‘Jealousy’ hitmaker claimed last December he was turning his back on his pop career but it seems he’s had a change of heart because he’s back in the recording studio working on a new album.
He shared a landscape picture on Instagram and wrote: “View from studio album number 7! Echoes 2. Writing with my pals who I am ever thankful Jo Mc put me in touch with . I know she’s watching and dancing !(sic)”
Last year, Will – who shot to fame after winning the first series of ‘Pop Idol’ in 2002 – claimed he was giving up music to become a “voice and sound therapist”.
He said: “I’m not particularly interested in the pop career any more. I don’t like to feel tied to a job. If I want to change my job at 50, I will.
“I’d like to be a psychotherapist, concentrating on voice and sound therapy.
“The voice is such an important tool, but we know so little about it; it’s a box of delights.
“Working with the voice – which I discovered through acting – can help with conflict and resolution as well as parenting and building confidence.”
And the 39-year-old singer vowed earlier this year to “never put out” another record because his pop career made him so miserable.
He confessed: “I’ve spent long enough living in fear and anger. I hated being a pop star. I would never put out a record again. It makes me sick to think of being that person I knew wasn’t really me.
“I did have some good times and did meet some very good people, but I was never comfortable, never happy.”
And Will admitted being famous is “such a weird thing”.
He said: “Becoming famous is such a weird thing. You can be standing in the supermarket and someone will come up and say, ‘I hate you. You’re an idiot.’ And you have to deal with that. It gave me a lot of rage that I then miraculously discovered I could channel into acting.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Heard’s legal team have accused Johnny Depp of “continuing his psychological abuse” of the actress.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor spoke out for the first time about being accused of abusing his ex-wife when their marriage ended two years ago in a new interview, but the ‘Aquaman’ actress is unhappy he has “blatantly disregarded” a confidentiality agreement between them and blasted Britain’s GQ magazine for now allowing her a right to reply in response to the 55-year-old star’s statements.
Her legal team told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement: “If GQ had done even a basic investigation into Mr. Depp’s claims, it would have quickly realised that his statements are entirely untrue.
“Mr. Depp has blatantly disregarded the parties’ confidentiality agreement and yet has refused to allow Ms. Heard to respond to his baseless allegations, despite repeated requests that she be allowed to do so.
“Mr. Depp is shamefully continuing his psychological abuse of Ms. Heard, who has attempted to put a very painful part of her life firmly in her past. One need only look at the physical evidence to draw the proper conclusion.”
In the interview, Johnny said he was “hurt” by the allegations he had been physically and verbally abusive to the ‘Danish Girl’ actress, insisting the claims were nothing like who he is as a person.
He also specifically referred to a video published by TMZ in August 2016, in which he appeared to grab a phone out of Amber’s hands after pouring a large glass of wine, and insisted the clip was older than had been suggested and was taken out of context.
He said: “The tape that came out, or the tape that someone made, that miraculously appeared on YouTube, taken from someone’s phone. That was not downtown [Los Angeles].
“She wanted to make like it was recent. It was an older video and [what happened in it] had to do with finding out that I had lost hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Rod Stewart says he’s now “making albums for me and a few friends”.
The 73-year-old star is one of the best-selling artists of all time, but Rod has insisted that chart success is no longer a big concern or motivation for him.
The singer – whose latest album is ‘Blood Red Roses’ – explained: “I always think I’ve got a lot of friends out there that have followed my career for many, many years.
“They turn up at concerts all over the globe, and if 10 percent of that wonderful audience that I play to buy the album, I’m happy.
“I’ve had tremendous success in selling millions and millions of albums, so I’m not that bothered if it doesn’t sell 10 million. Everybody else can do that. I’ve had my shot at it. I’m making albums for me and a few friends.”
Despite the success he’s enjoyed during his career, Rod has no intention of slowing down and is already working on his next record.
The veteran star explained that by 2020, he should have “15 or so good songs” ready for another album.
Rod told Rolling Stone magazine: “I don’t know what the themes of the new songs are gonna be yet. But in 18 months I should have 15 or so good songs.”
In fact, Rod revealed last month that he already has “nine tracks” that are almost finished.
He said: “We’ve started work on another album and have nine tracks already. I’ve just got to write the lyrics.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Audrina Patridge’s estranged husband has sought a court order to stop their daughter appearing on ‘The Hills’.
Corey Bohan has lodged documents with the Superior Court of California, in which he claimed that featuring alongside her mother in the upcoming reality show reboot is not in the “best interest” of two-year-old Kirra.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, the 36-year-old biker has requested “neither party to allow the minor child to be filmed or to appear in any reality television production without the express, written consent of the other parent” and “any prior consent for the minor child to appear on ‘The Hills’ reboot to be revoked and proof of revocation to be provided.”
Corey went on to blast Audrina’s “ludicrous” antics, after claiming she dismissed his attorney’s request not to have Kirra featured on the show because he had shared photos of the little girl on his Instagram account.
He stated: “Although Audrina has made claims of domestic violence, I now believe that she filed a request for restraining order to manipulate custody.
“I have recently learned that Audrina plans to appear in a reality television show which is a reboot of a reality show she was previously on called, ‘The Hills.’
“It is my understanding that the show has already begun filming and that Audrina plans to have Kirra appear on the show.
“Upon learning these facts, my attorney sent a letter to Audrina’s attorney indicating that I do not agree with Kirra appearing on reality television and requested that she stipulate to revoke any prior consent she may have given to have Kirra appear on ‘The Hills’ reboot.
“Unfortunately, Audrina’s response was to call me a hypocrite for posting pictures of Kirra on my private Instagram account and to state that I should be happy that Audrina has an opportunity to provide financially for Kirra.
“The comparison between a private social media account and a reality television program on MTV is ludicrous…
“[I do] not believe it is in Kirra’s best interest to appear on reality TV as the effects of being in the public spotlight could be extremely damaging to such a young child and could result in potentially dangerous interactions with fans and/or paparazzi.”
Corey also claimed the 33-year-old beauty’s plan to have Kirra on the show showed she has “poor judgement” and insisted he had never been asked to consent to her plans, while also accusing Audrina of “making exaggerated claims” in her restraining order application to secure legal custody so she didn’t need his permission to involve the tot in the programme.
In addition to seeking joint legal and physical custody – on a “2/2/3 or 2/5 parenting schedule” – of Kirra, the BMX rider wants Audrina to pay his legal costs, which are estimated at $50,000.
He also requested: “a specific order restraining Audrina from allowing Kirra to appear on any reality television program including, without limitation, ‘The Hills’ without my prior written consent.”
The documents added: “I further request that Audrina be restrained from allowing any further filming of Kirra to take place and for her to revoke any prior consent she may have given for Kirra to appear in any episode of ‘The Hills’.”
The pair must attend an appointment for child custody mediation or child custody recommending counselling on December 20, 2018.

OHMYGOSSIP — Orlando Bloom is reportedly thinking about proposing to Katy Perry.
The couple have been stronger than ever since they rekindled their relationship at the beginning of this year following their brief split in 2017, and now it looks like the 41-year-old actor is keen to take things to the next level as he’s been telling his friends that he would love to walk down the aisle with the ‘Roar’ hitmaker.
A source told People.com: “Orlando doesn’t have a ring yet but has been talking about the future. Everyone would be excited if they got engaged. Katy is wonderful! He always said he would absolutely get married again, and it seems Katy could be it. They both seem very happy.”
This isn’t the first time the pair have tied the knot though as Katy was wed to comedian Russell Brand from 2010 until 2012 while Orlando was married to Miranda Kerr, with whom he has seven-year-old son Flynn, from 2010 until 2013.
However, despite their previous failed marriages, the pair are still reportedly keen to solidify their relatively private relationship by becoming husband and wife.
The couple first started dating in 2016 but their busy work schedules put too much pressure on them and they ended up calling it quits in February 2017.
However, at the beginning of this year, they started hanging out more and confirmed they were back together and giving things another go in April.
An insider explained: “This has been an amazing year for the relationship. It’s like they needed to split and get back together again to get to this point.”
Earlier this year, the couple made their red carpet debut together but, although they’re happy for people to know they’re together, Katy hates being asked about their relationship because it’s only “one part” of her life.
She said recently: “It’s OK to mention him. I don’t want it to be a headline of the story, because it takes away from the purpose. Also, it’s extremely misogynistic. Of course, I love my relationship, but that is one part of me, and I don’t want any part of what I do to be diminished.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Claire King thinks the way ‘Coronation Street’ bosses handled her character Erica Holroyd’s miscarriage storyline was “a bit of a joke.”
The 55-year-old actress portrayed the womanising blonde from 2014 until 2017 – during which time her alter ego accidentally fell pregnant with Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) baby before tragically losing it in the first trimester – and she has admitted she was horrified with the way producers handled the heartbreaking story.
Speaking to What’s on TV magazine, she said: “I literally was in for 12 episodes and they decided to bring her back and we had the pregnancy storyline, which was a bit of a joke. It could’ve been a big story. They did it with Kym Marsh afterwards which got a lot of praise, but they just left it at mine and finished it.
“I felt as though it was cut short a bit, particularly for older women, because it is a topical conversation to have. It could’ve been delved into a lot more. But anyway, I felt that they didn’t really know what to do with the character, so it was just ‘adios!’ ”
Despite feeling bitter about the lack of storylines she was given during her time on the programme, Claire has admitted she can barely “remember” the soap.
She explained: “I can hardly remember it, quite honestly. She was a bit stuck on her own because she was a bit of a pinball in a big machine with no family, no ties.
“She literally had one friend, Liz [McDonald, Beverley Callard]; they’d run a bar together in Spain when Liz did her walkabout for a few years.”
Meanwhile, Claire is set to reprise her role as mega bitch Kim Tate in ‘Emmerdale’ next week – more than 20 years after she left in the Dales in a helicopter.
The soap star will only appear in the show for a week but she has promised that her conniving character has plenty of tricks up her sleeve to wreak havoc.

OHMYGOSSIP — Pussycat Dolls’ Melody Thornton has joined the ‘Dancing on Ice’ line-up.
The 34-year-old singer has confirmed she’s set to take part in the forthcoming series of the skating show, which will return to screens early next year, and is “so excited” to slip into her sequinned costumes and dazzle viewers with her moves.
Announcing the news on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Thursday (04.10.18), she said: “Hi guys, it’s Melody Thornton from Pussycat Dolls. And I guess the cat’s out of the bag. I’m so excited. I’m going to be on the 2019 cast of ‘Dancing On Ice’. I can’t wait to see you and I can’t wait to do some skating for you! Love you.”
Despite her performance background, the brunette beauty will certainly have her work cut out if she wants to lift the famous trophy at the end of the competition as she joins the likes of former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan.
TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, Boyzone’s Brian McFadden, Loose Women’s Saira Khan, Richard Blackwood and cricketer Ryan Sidebottom have also been confirmed for the new series, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The last series – the first since it was axed in 2014 by ITV – saw the judging panel made up of skating champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, acid tongue Jason Gardiner and Diversity’s Ashley Banjo, but it’s not yet been confirmed whether all four will reclaim their seats on the panel this time around.
However, former Olympic skater Karen Barber will reclaim her head coach position on the 11th series of the show after she missed out on the job this year.
She explained: “It’s a joy to return.”
This will be the first time Karen and Jason – who famously fell out in 2011 – have come face-to-face since the programme was pulled off air four years ago.
An insider said: “There is no love lost between the two of them, and there’s bound to be fireworks. In the past he’s reduced her to tears.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Barbara Windsor’s husband has seen “many changes” in her since she was diagnosed with dementia but he loves that she still has her “humour and wit.”
The former ‘EastEnders’ star’s spouse Scott Mitchell announced earlier this year that the 81-year-old actress had been battling the disease – a brain syndrome which affects memory, thinking, behaviour and emotion – for a few years in silence and, although it’s been heartbreaking for him to watch her deteriorate, he can still see so much of his wife there because she still has her “humour.”
He explained: “The last few years have been really hard for both Barbara and me as we got used to the profound effect dementia has had on our lives.
“I have seen many changes in Barbara since her diagnosis and at times its effects can be stronger than others.
“Despite all the changes in Barbara, there is still so much of her there. Her humour, wit and care for others for example. It is her humour I love the most.”
However, Scott – who married the ‘Carry On’ star in 2000 – still has to remind the legendary star that everyone knows about her battle with dementia now.
He said: “We kept her diagnosis quiet for so long and we were really nervous about going public with the news – but when we did, there was such an incredible reaction of love and support.
“Sometimes Barbara still thinks no one knows about her condition and makes a big thing of keeping it a secret when we see people we know or meet people.”
Scott is now planning to run the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon for his wife and the millions of people around the world who suffer from dementia.
Speaking in a video, filmed at their home, he said: “I don’t know how fast I will run it, but for me it is more about completing the marathon, no matter what the time, to show my support for Barbara and all the other people living with dementia.”
Barbara also urged people to take part in the marathon to help make a “stand” against dementia and change the attitudes towards the brain condition.
She said: “I’m asking you to make a stand against dementia.
“Taking part will support ground-breaking research to find a cure for a condition that affects so many people, like me. With your help we can and will end dementia with research.”
