Disney working on Lilo and Stitch live-action remake

OHMYGOSSIP — Disney are working on a live-action remake of ‘Lilo & Stitch’.
The 2002 animated feature – which follows the story of a lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo who befriends an alien named Stitch after finding him in a pet store – is set to become the next movie in Disney’s line of live-action remakes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Disney have reportedly hired rising star writer Mike Van Waes to pen the script for the feature, which will be produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich of Rideback, who are already working on the live-action remake of ‘Aladdin’.
The original film was written and directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, who later found acclaim with ‘How to Train Your Dragon’.
‘Lilo & Stitch’ starred the voice as Daveigh Chase as the eccentric young Lilo, whose parents died in a car accident leaving her stressed out older sister Nani (voiced by Tia Carrere) to look after her.
Lilo stumbles across Stitch (voiced by Chris Sanders) in a pet store and decides to adopt him, not realising her new pet “dog” is actually an illegal genetic experiment known as Experiment 626, who has the ability to unleash untold chaos.
The pair form an unlikely friendship, and work together to save Stitch from being taken back to his alien planet and destroyed, whilst also teaching him the value of family.
As of the time of writing, no casting announcements have been made for the live-action remake, however it has been revealed the film will feature CGI technology to create the titular blue koala-like alien.
Fans of the feature are hoping Auli’i Cravalho – who voiced Moana in the eponymously titled animated film released in 2016 – will be cast in the lead role.
‘Lilo & Stitch’ is the latest Disney animation to get the live-action treatment following the success of movies including ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
‘Aladdin’, ‘Dumbo’, and ‘The Lion King’ are also getting live-action remakes.

Halsey references Cry Me A River in breakup song

OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey directly referenced Justin Timblerlake ‘Cry Me A River’ in her own emotional breakup song.
The 24-year-old singer unveiled her new single ‘Without Me’ – which she wrote about her highly pubicised split from G-Eazy, although they later reconciled – on Thursday (04.10.18).
The couple’s relationship was plagued by cheating allegations directed at the rapper and a brief breakup over summer, and it appears Halsey – writing under her real name Ashley Frangipane for the first time – has opened up about the difficult time.
At one point, in a nod to JT’s bitter 2002 hit – which features an almost identical line – she sings: “You don’t have to say just what you did. I already know, I had to go and find out from them.”
Explaining the raw honesty of the song, the ‘Bad At Love’ hitmaker admitted it has been difficult living our her life with the world watching.
Speaking to Zane Lowe for Apple Music’s ‘Beats 1’ show, she said: “It’s just me. No wig, no colorful hair, no character, and it’s about my life and about my relationship that the world has watched so closely and so vehemently in the past year and a half.”
After unveiling the track this week, Halsey was asked on Twitter how it made her feel.
She candidly replied: “I cried the whole time I recorded it. But now I feel proud. And empowered.”
The new tune comes after the couple recently rekindled their relationship following their bitter split two months ago and G-Eazy, 29, shared a gushing post on social media to mark her birthday on September 29.
Alongside a professional photograph of the singer, he wrote: “Happy birthday to this one. I love you so so so much and I always will. I myself, along with millions and millions of other people appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. You’re the brightest star in the sky. So grateful to get to travel thru life with you, so happy to call you my queen. Happy birthday baby (sic)”

Cara Delevingne praises Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty range

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne has praised Rihanna for helping teenage girls get their makeup right with her Fenty Beauty range.
The 26-year-old model-and-actress has admitted that she over-used makeup products when she was growing up and most of her self-created looks were “so bad”.
Cara thinks Rihanna, 30, with her range of products and social media tutorials are stopping teenagers now from going through an “awkward stage”.
Speaking to Vogue.co.uk, Cara said: “Rihanna is teaching teens how to just get it right. It’s weird, I feel like that awkward teenage stage is over and that I was one of the last to go through it.
“I remember when I was a kid, I was so bad – all I used to do was just cake on foundation and eyeliner. Now I look at teenagers today and I’m like ‘What?!’ Less and less teenagers are looking like that. I see them and I’m like: “How do they do that make-up? It’s so hard!”
Discussing her own must-have products, Cara confessed she loves a “good mascara” and says she either has a really put-together look or “none” at all depending on her mood.
The ‘Suicide Squad’ star – who is the face of Burberry’s new ‘Her’ fragrance – added: “I am an eyes person but it depends. Sometimes it’s just the brows, or no make-up. I think I like to do either a lot of make-up or none. I’m kind of all or nothing. It is very rare that I will go for eyes and a lip. Unless I want to really do something major, or just really do drag queen, with full contouring and everything.
“I like having a really good mascara. You can’t really go wrong with that. I’m just always a fan of the Twiggy mascara eyes. Or just having a really good concealer. It’s all you need. Like a little bit under the eye. It can cover up a lot.”

Rachel Bilson wants affordable fashion for mothers

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Bilson wants more affordable fashion for mothers.
The 37-year-old actress always gets her clothes dirty caring for her three-year-old daughter Briar, her child with former partner Hayden Christensen, and she says it’s time that there were more clothing ranges for busy parents that they “actually want to buy”.
In an interview with InStyle, she said: “It’s hugely important. Speaking from a mother’s perspective, moms want to look cute, feel good, and be comfortable, but we know most things will get dirty.
“I’m always dirty, but I honestly spill stuff on myself without my daughter; that’s a whole other thing. Every woman deserves to be able to buy what they want and feel good in what they’re wearing.
“Just to be able to afford clothes you actually want to buy is huge, and everyone should be able to wear the things that they love.”
The ‘O.C’ star has returned to the world of acting for the first time since becoming a mother in her new ABC comedy series ‘Take Two’ which follows Sam Swift, a disgraced star attempting to rebuild her career after a public breakdown that is broadcast to the public and sends her to rehab.
On returning to work after becoming a mother, Rachel said: “The show has been so much fun, and it was such a great experience. It was my first role back after having my daughter and that was new because being a mom is always first for me. I couldn’t be more blessed by the people I work with, both behind and in front of the camera.
“It was a really fun show, and the character was so fun to play. I really hope I get to do it again. We had the best time.”

Moby selling drum machine collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Moby is selling his entire collection of drum machines for charity.
The 52-year-old electronic music star is flogging his selection of vintage machine and confirmed he will be donating the money to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a non-profit organization which promotes a vegan diet, preventative medicine and alternatives to animal research.
In a video announced the sale, he said: “I’ve always been a little bit obsessed with drum machines, in fact I’ve always been a lot obsessed with drum machines… I’m selling them. Every last one.”
The former DJ is himself a vegan and animal rights activist, and he admitted the Roland 909 model – which had a huge impact on early rave and techno music – was the toughest to give away.
He took to Twitter to make the announcement, and explained it seemed better to see the machines raise money for a good cause rather than “keeping them in storage”.
He wrote: “Over the years i presumptuously believe that i’ve come up with the largest collection of analog drum machines in the world
“Instead of keeping them in storage i’ll be selling them via @reverbdotcom with 100% of the proceeds going to the @PCRM (sic)”
Moby’s latest charitable efforts come just a few months after he offered up all his beloved vinyl records on his online shop Reverb LP.
Speaking about his decision to sell his record collection – which also raised money for the PCRM – he previously said: “I’m aspiring to enlightenment, I try to see it as just sort of like, an example of impermanence.
“You know everything we love eventually goes away. So I’m like, ‘Why not be a part of that process and help an organisation I really care about?’ ”

Aisleyne swaps numbers with BB’s Lewis Gregory

OHMYGOSSIP — Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace and evicted ‘Big Brother’ housemate Lewis Gregory swapped phone numbers at the Pink Ribbon Foundation charity gala in London on Wednesday night (03.10.18).
The pair got flirty at the bash held at the Foundation Bar for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Lewis – who was the second housemate to leave the house during the current series – wasted no time in getting the blonde beauty’s digits.
Lewis was delighted when Aisleyne – who finished third on the 2006 series of ‘Big Brother – agreed to give him her number and took his.
In an interview on Fubar Radio he was asked if it was true he’d got close to Aisleyne at the event and maybe had even kissed her, he replied: “Aisleyne is a sexy girl man so of course I’m going to stay close to her. I wouldn’t mind it … We’ve exchanged numbers.”
When asked if they exchanged any bodily fluids, he replied: “Not yet!”
Lewis went on to say there was definitely a spark between him and and Aisleyne and described the curvaceous celebrity as a “10 out of 10”.
He added: “There’s definitely something, she’s a hot girl man, she’s 10 out of 10.”
In the wake of Lewis’ second week eviction from the Channel 5 reality show, Aisleyne admitted she was a fan of the hunk and was hopeful she would get to meet him as they both live in London.
Writing her ‘Big Brother’ column for The Sun Online, she said: “Lewis G was a hit for me. I am so sad Lewis G was evicted … Personally, I think he was misunderstood.
“We got to see Lewis G’s true character in his interview, he said that he never wanted to upset or make anyone feel bad he just got bored of the same recycled stories and tried to make situations a bit more fun … and I believe him because I can totally relate to that, trust me guys, if he’d have stayed in there for three months like I did his head would have exploded.
“Hearing the same stories over and over again was brain numbing. It’s weird in that house it’s like your memory shrinks and you can only remember a few stories and even really struggle to remember songs too! Anyway I can’t wait to meet Lewis G. Drinks in Camden on me kid.”

All I ever wanted was to be a mom, but when you’re actually experiencing that, it’s a shock.”

Bear Grylls says Gordon Ramsay will do ‘survival challenge’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bear Grylls says Gordon Ramsay will complete a “super hard” survival challenge.
The 44-year-old adventurer – who fronts Channel Four’s ‘Celebrity Island’ show – and TV chef Gordon Ramsay, joined the ‘Jonathon Ross Show’ this week (06.10.18), and revealed the pair are getting their “dates aligned” to take part in a survival challenge together.
Speaking on this weekend’s episode of the ITV programme, Jonathan joked: “It was a real honour and a privilege genuinely being asked to do your show, and I had such a great time and it was so nice being with you. Unfortunately we filmed it and they lost half of the show, we filmed for two days and a whole day’s footage was destroyed in some x-ray machine.”
Bear added: “Gordon we’ll do one.”
Gordon agreed if they could “get the dates aligned”, and admitted he’d asked for “something super hard” on the show.
Bear replied: “They always say that and then about five hours in they say, ‘You know what I said about the super hard…’
“It is hardcore, the Island. My respect to those who endure… People always quit but those who are there at the end, total respect. You see that glint in the eye of pride that they’ve gone through fire.
“This series on at the moment, respect it gets really grim over the next few weeks and total respect to them.”
Aside from wanting to get Gordon on board for one of his notorious adventures, the ‘Celebrity Island’ host – which stars Pete Wicks, Martin Kemp and Montana Brown who have to survive on an uninhabited island in the Pacific – recalled cooking for the famous chef in “California” on “Easter Sunday”.
Bear revealed: “This definitely wasn’t on TV. It was a few years ago in California and it was Easter Sunday. I said ‘bring the family around and I’ll cook’ and that was my first error.
“I said to my wife, ‘I’ll do the starter and I’ll do a nice main. I’ve got it covered.’ About ten minutes before he arrived [I realised I’d forgotten dessert so my wife said] ‘I’ll just quickly rustle up an apple crumble.’
“We did a Barbeque. I’d tried to do this guacamole. At the end of it, I said to Gordon ‘Come on give me an honest [opinion]’ which was probably another error, asking for him to be honest. He said, ‘To be honest the starter was terrible, the main was abysmal but it was saved by the pudding!'”
The Jonathon Ross Show, Saturday 6th October, 9.50PM on ITV.

Michael Buble struggled with son’s cancer diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Buble “wished he didn’t wake up” when he found out about his son’s cancer diagnosis.
The ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’ hitmaker and his wife Luisana Lopilato were devastated when they found out that their son Noah, now five, was battling cancer in 2016.
Speaking on Australia’s Today Show, he said: “It sucks. It still sucks. What we went through was the worst possible thing that you could hear as a parent, and as maybe a human being. I much rather would have it have been me. Many times I wish that it had been.
“[There were times we] wished we didn’t wake up. I’ve been through a lot. One of the things about going through something that my family has been through is that it gives you great perspective and one of those points of [perspective] is that it really shows you to appreciate the good things.”
And now the tot has entered remission, Michael – who also has two-year-old son Elias with Luisana – says everything in their lives has improved.
He added: “I truly thought I would never go back [to music]. I was done. It just seemed completely unimportant compared to what was going on with Noah. Things got very clear for me, very quickly. I live with no fear now. I’ve been to hell. [Now Noah’s better], food never tasted so good, music never sounded so good, my relationship with my family, my faith … all of it. My wife and I, we got happy, we fell in love again.”

Stormzy nearly missed Adele’s dedication

OHMYGOSSIP — Stormzy almost missed seeing Adele dedicate a song to him at a gig.
The ‘Blinded By Your Grace’ hitmaker was famously called out by the ‘When We Were Young’ hitmaker before she sang ‘Make You Feel My Love’ to him at her gig at London’s O2 Arena in May 2016 but he has now revealed that he nearly missed it because he was going to get food.
He told British Vogue magazine: “People think I knew she was gonna shout me out. I swear to God I didn’t. I was just recording, I was Snapchatting, chilling. So Maya’s gone to get food. I’m chilling, recording, recording, and Adele’s talking and he’s like, ‘Yeah we’ve got someone very special in the crowd today, yeah we’ve got Stormzy.’ I said, ‘Oh my days, what.’ The missus [Maya Jama] has come back and I’ve said, ‘Thank God I didn’t go and get the food. That would’ve been turmoil right there.'”
