Kylie Minogue cancels shows due to throat infection

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Minogue has axed shows in Dublin and Belfast due to illness.
The ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker has apologised to her fans on social media after being unable to perform the dates on her European tour after falling ill with a throat infection.
Sharing the sad news on Instagram on Sunday (07.10.18), she wrote: “Lovers I’m so sorry to let you know that I can’t do tonight’s Dublin or tomorrow’s Belfast shows.
“I’ve been trying everything possible to be well enough to perform for you but a throat infection has led to vocal strain.”
However, the 50-year-old star has vowed to make it up to her fans, and revealed that details for the postponed concerts are on the way.
She continued: “I promise I’ll be back as soon as possible and at 100%. (The Guinness will be on me!) We’re working on rescheduling and more details will follow.
“I’m so, so sorry to let you down and thank you for your understanding.”
The cancelled shows mean Kylie will have a chance to rest and recover now, with the tour not set to continue until November when she heads to mainland Europe with shows in Luxembourg, Belgium, France and Switzerland, before moving on to Italy, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark and Germany.
Meanwhile, the Australian pop superstar – who went down the country route on her latest LP ‘Golden’ – recently revealed she’d love to work with producer Mark Ronson.
She said: “I feel a bit of disco coming on next.
“There’s actually a big disco section in this show and we all know about it by the end because it nearly takes us all out.
“It’s full-on, full-tilt, so that’s where I would go at this point.”
When asked who she would like to work with on a disco project, she replied: “Mark Ronson I love, of course. He is one of many I’m interested in.”

Simon Gregson ‘hates’ filming Coronation Street weddings

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Gregson “hates” filming ‘Coronation Street’ weddings.
The 44-year-old actor’s character Steve McDonald is due to marry for a seventh time and the second time to Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) this week, but Simon finds it a “nightmare” shooting such scenes because they tend to take place away from the usual set and involve “thousands” of people.
He said: “This is his seventh wedding but only his fifth wife as he married Karen and Tracy twice. The irony is I hate filming weddings! It is a nightmare as they take days out on location and have a cast of thousands.
“Fortunately for this one they built the hotel set on site so it made things a bit easier, it was fun to film, as you can imagine it doesn’t go quite to plan.”
Simon has starred as Steve since 1989, and while says he has injected some of his own sense of humour into his alter-ego, he would “need a couple of beers” before he could have a night out with his character.
He added: “I think I would get on with him, I think I’d need a couple of beers to go out with him though! I don’t know anybody like him but maybe there are aspects of me, his sense of humour a little bit, but his is a toned down version of my sense of humour, you wouldn’t get away with the things that make me laugh at the time ‘Corrie’ goes out!
“The daftness and the happy go lucky side of me is what I interjected into Steve. Much like Steve I also like anything for an easy life and I do tend to mess around on set and make people laugh.”
The ‘Corrie’ star would love to stay in Weatherfield for another 20 years, and wouldn’t rule out Steve marrying another three times.
When asked if he could imagine still being on the show in 20 years with Steve set to marry for a 10th time, he said: “The first 30 years have gone in a flash so I would be very happy to stay and see Steve through to old age.”

Graham Norton wants people to stop following their dreams

OHMYGOSSIP — Graham Norton thinks modern society puts too much of an emphasis on “following your dream”.
The 55-year-old chat show host has hit out at parents who give such advice to their children, and insisted it makes the youth more deluded about where their talents actually lie.
He told The Sun newspaper’s TV Bizarre column: “I do think that there is too much of ‘following your dream’ now. In the early Eighties it meant some-thing.
“Now it is like, ‘Stop following your dream. You are terrible. Find a new dream’. I do feel it is down to parents encouraging children when they shouldn’t.
“Stop putting drawings on the fridge. Just say, ‘This one… not good enough’. When they say, ‘Oh, he is the cleverest boy in the world’ – no he is not. Just a thought, parents. That ship might have sailed in your household, I don’t know.”
Meanwhile, Graham – who split from ex Andrew Smith three years ago – recently opened up on his own love life and revealed he ditched Tinder because he didn’t want to meet “broken people”.
He previously explained: “I was on Tinder a couple of years ago, but I’m not on it now. I felt like I’d done it. There’s a law of diminishing returns on Tinder.
“I met a few people and thought, ‘God, there are a lot of broken people in the world and I don’t really need to meet them’ – I don’t need to be part of their damage.”
He joked that alcohol is one of his passions now, and although he’s drinking less nowadays he’s wary of admitting it.
He added: “Booze is one of my great loves. Lots of people drink, so it’s not like I have a niche interest.
“I’ve probably started drinking less as I’ve got older but if I say, ‘I’ve cut down,’ then I feel like the prigs have won. I think people should drink whatever they want to drink, because drinking is fun!”

Sir Billy Connolly offers to be ‘guinea pig’ for Parkinson’s disease cure

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Billy Connolly is willing to be a “guinea pig” in a bid to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
The 75-year-old comedian has been battling with the incurable condition, which causes parts of the brain to become progressively damaged over years, since mid-2013 and has admitted he’s been in contact with stem cell scientists at Harvard University about using him to advance their research and, hopefully in the long run, discover a cure for the condition.
Speaking in an extract taken from a book, published by The Scotsman, he said: “I’ve spoken to guys working on it at Harvard and told them I’ll be a guinea pig for them. I think they are going to take me up on that.”
It comes just weeks after his close pal Sir Michael Parkinson said he was saddened during a recent meeting in New York with the funnyman when Billy failed to recognise him.
He explained: “The sadness of Billy now is that wonderful brain is dulled.
“I saw him recently – he’s now living in America – and it was very sad, because I was presenting him with a prize at an award ceremony.
“We had an awkward dinner together, because I wasn’t quite sure if he knew who I was or not. We were walking out after the presentation to go down and have our picture taken, and he turned to me and put his hand on my shoulders.
“He wasn’t sure where [the dinner] was or what context at all.”
Michael, 83, and Billy have been close friends for years, with the latter making a number of appearances on his talk show ‘Parkinson’, which ran from 1971 to 1982 and from 1998 to 2007, and he found the experience with his old pal deeply upsetting.
He added: “And to know someone as long as I knew and loved Billy… it was an awful thing to contemplate, that that had been taken from him in a sense.
‘He was just a genius and the best thing that happened to me on the show.”
Billy – who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013 but underwent successful surgery to remove the disease – previously admitted he has contemplated suicide on numerous occasions since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Asked in 2016 if he has ever thought about ending his life, he said: “Yeah sometimes I give it a bit of thought when I’m in bed. I think, ‘Well this is forever, this isn’t going to get better, it’s going to get worse.’ But then I try and change my mind and I try and meditate and move away from it sideways.”

Kim Kardashian West slams ’embarrassing’ sisters

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West slammed her sisters’ fashion choices as “disgusting” and “embarrassing”.
The 37-year-old star took a trip to Japan to shoot a campaign for husband Kanye West’s Yeezy label and took along her siblings Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, but wasn’t impressed by their choice of outfits, branding them “f***ing clowns” who needed to overhaul their images to stay “young and relevant”.
Speaking on the latest episode of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’, she said: “I can’t even eat dinner because I’m so disgusted with my sisters’ crazy outfits that completely don’t go with my look. Like, I can’t take it.
“My sisters’ look so crazy. It’s actually embarrassing. Kourtney with the Japanese-inspired outfit, and Khloe is wearing silver sequins, turquoise eyeshadow, huge chandelier earrings — they’re just like, completely clashing and making my outfit look really bad and they’re ruining everything.
“I need the Yeezy collection to be debuted and not all this crazy distraction in the background.”
She then fumed to the pair: “So I gotta be real with you guys. You look like f***ing clowns. I’m not kidding.
“This is not like, a tourist thing where it’s Halloween, dress up like a f***ing Japanese geisha, unless we’re at a geisha house. I just think you’ve got to like, chill. Like, you can be cooler.
“I’m not telling you guys who to be and what to wear or anything, but I’m telling you who to be and what to wear. It could be time for a fashion overhaul, so that you stay young and relevant.”
And Kim – who has children North, five, Saint, two, and Chicago, eight months, with Kanye – later lashed out at Kourtney, 39, again for looking like a “grandma”.
She told her older sister: “You look like f***ing grandma. 100 percent. You don’t look anything special. Like you don’t look anything innovative. And I think you have it in you, it’s just you better evolve before you fizzle out.”
While Kim admitted she had been “snappy and very opinionated”, she claimed her unkind comments came because she was busy focusing on the Yeezy campaign.
Kourtney replied: “But I feel like we’re also here to have fun, wear some fun stuff, do some fun make-up, whatever. And by the way, I liked all my outfits.
“Nobody wants to wake up and be criticised from head-to-toe the whole day long.”
Shocked Kim pointed out the “old Kourtney” would have fought back against her comments, but the mother-of-three said: “So would you rather me f***ing say your f***ing outfits suck? You’re wearing a puffy vest, you have pink hair and turquoise shoes.
“I didn’t come here to wear leggings that are see-through and show my ass off.
“Do you know easy it is to a b***h? I could be a b***h all f***ing day if that’s what you want. But guess what? It takes a lot more courage to show your feelings than to sit there and be a b***h.”
Kim eventually promised to “work on” the way she gets her message across to people.
She reflected: “I feel like I always pride myself in being honest. I will definitely work on my delivery, but my message, I think is pretty clear.”

Amanda Holden talks to stillborn son

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden still speaks to her stillborn son.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge tragically lost her baby Theo seven months into the pregnancy in 2011 and has admitted, although it took her a while to get her head around his passing, she now has little conversations with him in her head.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: “Theo is always here.
“I dream about him and sometimes I speak to him. Lots of moments, symbols, make me think of Theo and connect me to him. But I don’t speak about them because I don’t want the magic to go. It’s weird… It almost feels as if he was never meant to be here. That’s how I’ve got my head round it.
“I feel honoured to be the person that carried him that far on his journey. I think perhaps he chose me because I was strong enough to handle it. He just didn’t need to continue his journey here. I think about him every day. And I look at Theo’s photograph. I keep it in another box with our marriage certificate and the children’s birth certificates as he’s still a part of our family.”
The 41-year-old actress initially blamed herself for Theo’s passing, but a post-mortem carried out found no cause for his death – his heart just stopped beating.
She explained: “Was it mercury in my fillings, something in the water, something I ate, the way I slept? … There was a tiny dent in one of the three arteries in the umbilical chord which could have cut his blood supply. It could never have been spotted. They couldn’t have saved him.”
Amanda gave birth to Theo via a C-Section but she was “terrified” of holding him because she was scared of what he may look like.
She said: “I wanted to be awake so I had an epidural. But I was absolutely terrified of holding him. I couldn’t bear the thought of holding a dead baby. I was scared what he’d look like. But the minute he came out, Jackie took him and said ‘He’s beautiful’. So I said: ‘Give him to me. I’m his mummy’.
“He had the most incredible eyebrows. And lots of thick dark hair. He was nearly 3lbs, so perfectly viable, and his little face and body were perfect.”
Amanda also has Lexi, 12, and Hollie, six, with her husband Chris Hughes.

Princess Eugenie’s ‘£2m wedding’

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Eugenie’s wedding is set to cost an estimated £2 million.
The 28-year-old royal will marry Jack Brooksbank, 32, on October 12 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, where her cousin Prince Harry married the Duchess of Sussex earlier this year, on Friday (12.10.18), and police in Windsor are set to apply for extra cash from the Home Office to pay for the two nuptials.
Thames Valley Police’s deputy police and crime commissioner Matthew Barber told Sky News: “The policing of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding was a complicated operation involving a number of organisations and the cost incurred by Thames Valley and other forces has not yet been finalised.
“Once finalised, Thames Valley Police will release the information and we will submit a formal special grant request to the Home Office in due course.”
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, tax payers look set to fork out £2 million on the nuptials, at which the couple will arrive in an open-top carriage.
The pair’s big day will include a fanfare – specifically written for the affair- by State Trumpeters and music from Scottish pipers as the couple travel through Windsor.
Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Robbie Williams and George and Amal Clooney are set to be in attendance, while around 1,200 members of the public were selected by a ballot after 100,000 applied for a place in the castle grounds.
Andrea Bocelli and members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at the ostentatious event while guests will enjoy a £1,000 red velvet and chocolate cake – which was described by Kensington Palace as being “a traditional cake, with a modern feel.”

Mark Jordon charged with GBH and assault

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Jordon has been charged with grievous bodily harm and assault.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor – who plays Daz Spencer in the ITV soap – has been hit with the charge after he allegedly attacked a 67-year-old man in July, and he is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on November 8.
A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said: “Mark Jordon of Tamewater Court, Oldham, has been charged with GBH and section 39 common assault.
“He will appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on November 8.”
The GMP spokesperson said police officers were called to a road in Oldham, north west England, following reports of an assault on July 1.
Mark – who played Graham Naisby in two episodes of ‘Coronation Street’ in 2014 – appeared as Daz in 2014 before landing a regular role in ‘Emmerdale’ in 2017.
Recent ‘Emmerdale’ scenes saw Mark’s alter-ego Daz attacked by Kerry Wyatt – who is played by his real-life girlfriend Laura Norton – and she recently revealed they practiced the scenes at home.
She said: “We did practice. The night before I was a bit nervous about it. It was a bit weird.
“I took the stage directions literally just for safety. So you go, right we’re up against a wall, I can do that, I know what I’m doing with it.
“So he said, ‘Right, practice on me.’ And I couldn’t stop laughing. So we didn’t get to do it once without laughing.”
Laura and former ‘Heartbeat’ star Mark have been together for three years, and the former ‘A Wake in Providence’ star recently admitted they are having a “lush” time as a couple.
Speaking in June, she said: “We’ve just had our anniversary. It’s just lush. It sounds a bit corny, but it is.
“It’s out there now.”

Chris Cornell statue unveiled

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Cornell’s family have unveiled a statue in his honour.
The Soundgarden singer – who sadly took his own life in May 2017 – was hailed as the “voice of a generation” by his widow Vicky at a ceremony as she joined their children to reveal artist Nick Marra’s life-sized bronze sculpture at Seattle’s MoPOP Museum on Sunday (07.10.18).
Hailing Chris as a “beautiful, powerful, incomparable” source of light, she said: “He was the voice of a generation, and an artist that continues to draw us closer together, forever.”
She also took the time to thank those assembled for their support and the city’s “loudest love”.
She said: “I thank you for embracing and loving Chris so deeply. Thank you, Seattle, for the support and loudest love.”
The couple’s children, Christopher, Toni, and Lily, then pulled back a curtain to reveal the six foot statue, which depicted the Soundgarden frontman wearing a leather jacket and dog tags and wielding a Gibson guitar.
Vicky herself had commissioned the statue and said it was her gift to “the tight-knit community that gave him his start.”
Jasen Emmons, Artistic Director of MoPOP felt the drizzly weather was appropriate for the ceremony.
He said: “The clouds tonight somehow feel right for someone who brought us so much dark, beautiful music.”
And the ‘Black Home Sun’ rocker’s philanthropic partner Trevor Nielsen said: “Chris is here in this mist with us today.”
Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd, and Matt Cameron also attended the unveiling ceremony, which was preceded by an hour-long screening of a 2013 concert from the group inside the facility’s Sky Church.
Guest books were also on hand for fans to leave memories and tributes, and the museum also revealed a new addition to their collection.
Visitors to MoPOP will now be able to see one of the Audioslave singer’s tour outfits, complete with leather jacket and some Soundgarden lyrics.

Dolly Parton heartbroken by own Elvis Presley snub

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton was heartbroken when she stopped Elvis Presley recording ‘I Will Always Love You’.
The ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker was “desperate” to have The King release a version of the track in 1975, but called off their agreement when his representatives told her she had to sign away the publishing rights to the song.
She said: “His manager Colonel Parker called me up the day before he was due to record the song and said, ‘Now you know Elvis has to have the publishing rights or at least half the publishing rights of any song he records.’
“I was desperate for Elvis to sing my song and I’d told everyone he was going to sing it, but I couldn’t let that happen. It’s my song, my publishing rights. It broke my heart but I had to turn him down.”
In 1992, the late Whitney Houston covered the song for the movie ‘The Bodyguard’ and it went on to earn the 72-year-old singer over £15 million in royalties, so even though the track has become more associated with the ‘I’m Every Woman’ hitmaker, than herself, Dolly doesn’t mind.
She told Event magazine: “People say it’s Whitney’s song, and that’s all right as long as they send the cheques to me!”
Dolly has been happily married to Carl Dean since 1966 bu she admitted she was always “too selfish” to have children because of her focus on her career, and she doesn’t regret her decision.
She admitted: “I was too selfish to have children. The biggest thing I wanted was my career. I wanted to be married, I wanted never to be divorced, I wanted to be a big singer and that was all I thought about.
“Later in life I did think about it, but nothing happened and I accepted it.
“I’m never going to say it’s something I regret because that would not be true. It was my choice to put everything into having this career. I believed I could have it but it took work – and it still takes work.”

Seann Walsh and Katya Jones apologise for kiss

OHMYGOSSIP — Seann Walsh and Katya Jones have apologised after they were spotted smooching, branding the kiss a “one-off mistake”.
The comedian – who has been dating girlfriend Rebecca Humphries for five years – and his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional partner, who is married to fellow pro dancer Neil Jones, were recently pictured embracing on a night out, but they have now issued public apologies to their respective partners.
Katya wrote on Twitter: “I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship. (sic)”
Seann tweeted: “In light of the story in today’s newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions. This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for. (sic)”
The ‘Bad Move’ star’s girlfriend Rebecca – who was in the audience on Saturday night (06.10.18) to watch Seann and Katya perform a paso doble – reached out to author Marian Keyes after the novelist tweeted about his “poor girlfriend”.
Rebecca wrote: “Wanna be friends?”
Marian replied: “Of COURSE. I’m so upset for you, I’ve been thinking about you all day xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (sic)”
Neil – who also works on ‘Strictly’ – shared a video of Seann and Katya’s ‘Strictly’ performance over the weekend, and admitted he was “really proud” of the pair’s routine.
He wrote: “Wow last nights @bbcstrictly movie week was really epic and I’m really proud of @mrs_katjones and @seannwalsh Paso Doble. Great shapes and of course like always the choreography was on point. . (sic)”
Pictures of the pair embracing were revealed in The Sun on Sunday newspaper, and a witness told the publication: “They were snogging like a pair of teenagers and didn’t seem to care who might see them.”

Vicky Pattison plans to get drunk on Celebrity Hunted

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison and Dom Joly’s plan to get “mortal drunk” to evade capture on ‘Celebrity Hunted’.
The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star and the ‘Trigger Happy TV’ comic are joining forces to go on the run for the programme and think turning to booze is a good strategy because it will cause them to make such “bad decisions”, even the hunters will struggle to follow their trail.
Vicky said: “I never know where I am going to end up when I’m drunk so how will the Hunters know where we are?”
Dom added: “It’s another way of keeping your thoughts from being logical.
“If you’re so drunk you make bad decisions, they won’t guess those.”
And the pair admitted they have taken inspiration from ‘Googlebox’ stars Dom and Steph Parker – who spent much of their time on the run in last year’s series getting drunk – though they are hoping to do better.
Dom told the Daily Star newspaper: “We’re going to drink hard but we’re going to run hard.
“I don’t feel Steph and Dom ran very hard.”
Vicky added: “I loved Steph and Dom. They looked like they were going on the run with a mini-fridge.”
Vicky and Dom are among eight stars taking up in the Stand Up to Cancer charity version of the popular Channel 4 show.
‘Love Island’s Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay, Sky News presenter Kay Burley and MP Johnny Mercer and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional AJ Pritchard and gymnast Louis Smith are all pairing up in a bid to evade capture from the team of experts.
‘Celebrity Hunted’ starts on 16 October on Channel 4.

Holly Willoughby didn’t want I’m A Celebrity… offer

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby “never wanted” to be offered a job hosting ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The ‘This Morning’ host is to team up with Declan Donnelly to front the tough jungle reality show later this year while regular co-presenter Ant McPartlin continues to take time off to focus on his sobriety and though she is “honoured” to be working with her friend on the programme, she admitted no one in their circle of friends had ever wanted to see the popular partnership come to an end.
She said: “It was a job I never wanted to be offered. ‘Because no one ever wanted the day to come when it was Dec without Ant.
“We all grew up in this business together, we live near each other and all our families are friends.
“But I felt really honoured that Dec trusted me to do it because it’s such a huge deal for him to work with someone else.”
Holly has been in regular contact with Ant and reassured him she will “look after” both the show and his best friend.
She told Stella magazine: “I told Ant that I would look after his show for him – because it’s still his show – and I would look after Dec for him.”
Holly – who has children Harry, nine, Belle, seven, and Chester, four, with husband Dan Baldwin – has been busy preparing for the show by spending an hour a night watching old clips on YouTube with her kids.
She said: “We all sit and watch it before they go to bed.”
The 37-year-old presenter has also been warned by producers she needs to toughen up and not feel sorry for the contestants when they undergo gruesome trials.
She admitted: “I’ve had a few meetings where they [the producers] run through the trials and I’m there saying, ‘But that’s so mean.’
“I keep being told not to feel sorry for any of the contestants and that if I do, I’ll soon lose that sympathy because you just get completely used to it as part of the show – but I’m not so sure.”
Despite her years of experience in live TV, Holly plans to let Dec take the lead on the show.
She said: “I’m just intending to enjoy it and put myself in Dec’s hands… as long as he is not holding any creepy-crawlies, because then you’ll hear the screams in England.”

Jason Blum says Halloween reboot is about ’empowerment’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Blum says the new ‘Halloween’ movie is about “women’s empowerment”.
The 49-year-old producer is responsible for bringing the horror sequel to the big screen, with the plot following Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode battling psychopath killer Michael Myers 40 years after the original 1978 movie.
Blum insists that the slasher film has a “social message” and is an exploration of what happens to people when they live through a “traumatic event”.
Speaking at the Busan International Film Festival, Blum said: “We have a very specific approach to making movies at Blumhouse. We try and put a social or political message into a scary movie. This movie is about two things: women’s empowerment, there are three generations of women overcoming the most evil man in the world.
“Also, where most horror movies are about a traumatic event, this is an exploration of what happens to a group of people 40 years after a traumatic event.”
Blum – the founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions – also revealed that he would not have agreed to work on the project unless John Carpenter, the creator of the original movie, was back on board.
Carpenter is responsible for writing the score for the film and he worked with director David Gordon Green and his co-writer Danny McBride to create the perfect soundtrack for the murders.
His return means that the new ‘Halloween’ instalment is the first film in the canon with his direct involvement since 1982’s ‘Halloween III: Season of the Witch’.
Blum said: “Another thing that is unique about Blumhouse horror franchises is that we work really hard to include the creator of the original movie. [I] would not do the movie unless John Carpenter would come back in.”
The new ‘Halloween’ film has been made as a direct sequel to the first two movies and, according to co-writer McBride, it pretends “the other sequels never happened”.
The first film began with scenes showing six-year-old Michael Myers murder his 17-year-old sister, but after being locked away in a high security mental institute for 15 years he escapes and returns to his hometown to find his next victims, targeting babysitters on Halloween evening.
But the white-masked killer meets his match in high school student Laurie Strode – portrayed by Curtis.
The 59-year-old actress has reprised her role as Laurie three times since 1978 in 1981’s ‘Halloween II’, 1998’s ‘Halloween H20: 20 Years Later’ and 2002’s ‘Halloween: Resurrection’ but this will be her last battle with Myers.

J.A. Bayona hopes world learned a lesson from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

OHMYGOSSIP — J.A. Bayona hopes that cinema goers learnt something about the dangers of modern science from ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’.
The 43-year-old director dealt with the implications of cloning and bringing extinct species back to life in the blockbuster dinosaur sequel and he hopes his message about not meddling with nature was apparent to cinema goers, just as it was in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 original.
In an interview with Collider.com, he said: “One of the things that I love about the Steven Spielberg movies is somehow how he’s able to combine big entertainment with important ideas, and sometimes they feel like moral tales. They tell you what is the right thing to do and the wrong thing to do. And I like that. From the very beginning, from the very first page of Michael Crichton’s book, it was also the intention, like pointing not science, but the wrong use of science. So hopefully, that will plant a seed on the people and the kids. Not for dinosaurs, but for animals. I think that if you can do that, I think it’s great.”
However, Bayona believes if it were to become possible to bring dinosaurs back to life in reality the curiosity would win over the moral dilemma.
He added: “From the moment you will tell the people that you can create a dinosaur, people will get crazy and forget about the moral and the ethical repercussions of it.”
Bayona will not be helming the next ‘Jurassic World’ movie, instead handing over control to Colin Trevorrow who was responsible for bringing the franchise back to the big screen in 2015.
The ‘A Monster Calls’ filmmaker doesn’t know much about the plot for the next installment but he is sure that Trevorrow will make a very “exciting” movie.
He said: “No, I don’t know much about it. I think it’s very interesting. It’s something that definitely we’ve never seen before, and I like that. But at the same time, I know that Colin has a very challenging endeavor right now in front of him. I think it’s very exciting, but it’s very challenging, too.”
The next ‘Jurassic World’ film is slated for release in 2021 with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard due to reprising their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing respectively.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wants to keep beauty disasters hidden

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley hopes her beauty blunders “never see the light of day”.
The 31-year-old model sported some “disastrous bold looks” in the early days of her career but is thankful the photo shoots took place in an era before social media so the pictures were never widely seen.
She told Glamour online: “I’ve had some disastrous beauty looks in my time. I started very much at the bottom of the industry and worked my way up, so at the beginning I was doing some pretty questionable shoots with very bold beauty looks. Luckily, it was before Instagram and the internet so hopefully they’ll never see the light of day!”
However, Rosie admitted there was some positives to take from the disasters.
She added: “Let’s just say, I’ve seen so much bad make-up being done on myself that I know what not to do when applying it.”
The blonde beauty – who has 10-month-old son Jack with husband Jason Statham – believes looking good starts with looking after her skin and is happy to spend a lot of money on top quality products.
She said: “The best piece of beauty advice I’ve been given is the idea that it all starts with good skincare. Skin is the most important thing – and that’s advice that’s been given to me by make-up artists across the industry.
“I try and invest in the best products, evolving my skincare as I age or to suit the climate and just learning what works for my skin.
“For me, I’m always looking for results-driven products which is why I love the Bare Minerals Skin Longevity range. I also love Oil Obsessed – it’s a firm fixture in my beauty wardrobe because it’s a great way of removing makeup at the end of the day but it’s also a really gentle cleanser for the mornings.”
