Matthew Williamson: My fashion must-haves are sunglasses and shoes

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Williamson’s fashion must-haves are “sunglasses and new shoes”.
The 44-year-old fashion designer – who is famed for his bohemian prints and shimmering fabrics – has admitted there are two accessories he simply won’t leave the house without, and has revealed his essential wardrobe items are a chic pair of sunglasses and new footwear.
When asked about is fashion must-haves in quick fire questions set by website HomestoLove.com, the creative mastermind – who founded his eponymous designer label in 1997 – said: “Sunglasses and new shoes.”
Although the star has revealed he also counts his vintage 1970s Gucci watch as his favourite arm candy.
Speaking about his other favourite items, he said: “A 1970s Gucci watch.
“[Fragrance] Incense by Comme des Garcons.”
The designer also admitted his biggest influence for his masterpieces comes from Frida Kahlo, although he has revealed he can’t remember a time when he wasn’t interested in designing.
Speaking about what inspired him to delve into the fashion industry and his inspiration, he said: “Frida Kahlo.
“[But] I’ve loved both fashion and interior design equally for as long as I can remember.”
Meanwhile, Matthew has revealed the shops he most frequently visits include Liberty, The Conran Shop, and Mr Porter, and admits that the things he’d most like to buy next include a sofa for his house in Spain, as well as “a new work bag, some new coffee table books” and plants for his garden.
Asked what he does in his spare time, he said: “Walking my dog, Mr Plum, on Hampstead Heath.
“Coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon. Sunday brunches at home and weekday dinners at Lemonia, my local Greek restaurant in Primrose Hill.”
Although Matthew has an eye for travelling long distance when he next has some free time out of his busy schedule.
He explained: “Bali is my favourite holiday destination, and I go to my home in Deia, Spain, for longer breaks.
“[I’m] looking forward to seeing Australia as I’ve never been before.”

Khloé Kardashian 'can't believe' she will launch her first denim collection for Good American tomorrow

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloé Kardashian “can’t believe” she will launch her first denim collection for Good American this week.
The 32-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star is set to unveil her latest collaboration with the denim clothing label, which caters for sizes zero to 24, on Tuesday (18.10.16), which she has claimed is the start of a “denim revolution”.
The former ‘Kocktails with Khloé’ host took to social media to announce her excitement at the launch.
Alongside a picture of her as part of the campaign, which she shared on her Instagram account, she wrote: “I can’t believe the launch of Good American is only 2 days away! This is a denim revolution and with the help of my squad we are knocking down barriers! Shout out to all my diverse baddies out there who love themselves no matter what!!! I’m proud of you!! @goodamerican (sic).”
And the television personality has posted a string of pictures from the campaign as part of a countdown to the big reveal, which takes place tomorrow.
She wrote: “2 days!!!! Good American

And the star believes her capsule has made the brand’s “premium denim” the best it has ever been.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sopwell House have partnered with Divine Chocolate to celebrate Chocolate Week 2016.
The quaint 18th Century Georgian manor house, which is situated in a secluded lane in Saint Albans, Hertfordshire, has teamed up with the fair trade company to create three delicious chocolate treats to mark the indulgent week, which was led by head chef Gopi Chandran.
Sopwell House’s Traditional Afternoon Tea saw a Rich Chocolate Delice, made from 70 per cent dark chocolate grace the tiered cake stand and a white chocolate and strawberry brûlée, which was served at the Brasserie.
Whilst those who are in need of a fine-dining experience must delve into the super-rich and creamy milk chocolate mousse, which was accompanied with a cherry griottine gel and pistachio ice cream in the The Restaurant, and is every bit as gluttonous as one would hope from the dessert.
However, if you are after something fruity and refreshing to complete your meal you can glide your spoon into a deconstructed blackberry cheesecake with carmelised white chocolate and apple and fennel sorbet to cool the palette.
For those with a savoury tooth whet your appetite from an array of fish, poultry or vegetarian courses for a starter or main meal. From melt in your mouth hand dived scallops, which is served with cauliflower puree, crispy shallots and a dash of mild curry oil, a pressing of corn fed chicken served, a roast breast of guinea fowl, tender venison, sweetcorn gnocchi with a tomato fondue, a light yet flavoursome steamed lemon sole accompanied by an array of vegetables, or a hearty fillet of Angus beef, rib, with a rich and sweet red wine jus, there is something to suit everyone. Kylie Jenner will launch a new 'burgundy' eye-shadow palette this week

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner is set to launch a new “The Burgundy” eye-shadow palette this week.
The 19-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star – who built her beauty empire Kylie Cosmetics over two years – has announced she will reveal her “new KyShadow” featuring nine new shades, which will be available to purchase from the website on Thursday (20.10.16) so it is unveiled “Just in time for fall”.
The star broadcasted the news on social media alongside a string of pictures of the upcoming product, the outer packaging and the pigment.
Alongside a photograph of the palette, which was posted on Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account over the weekend, it read: “New KyShadow Palette Reveal Today on Kylizzlemynizzl Snapchat.

And the teen entrepreneur – who is the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner brood – believes the latest Kylie Cosmetics instalment is the essential beauty product for the season.

Christopher Kane wants to play an 'extra' on Downton Abbey

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Kane wanted to be an “extra” on ‘Downton Abbey’, according to actress Laura Carmichael.
The 34-year-old fashion designer and Erdem Moralıoğlu were desperate to star in an episode of the popular BBC British drama after they visited the theatrical set and riffled through the costume cupboard, including Maggie Smith’s fur collection.
Speaking about the creative masterminds trip to the theatrical set, Laura – who plays the role of Lady Edith Crawley in the drama – told Town and Country Magazine: “Erdem when through the clothes and was digging through all the stuff; he wanted to see Maggie [Smith]’s furs.
“He and Christopher wanted to be extras.”
And the ‘Marcella’ star believes the pair enjoyed exploring because she thinks Erdem and Christopher’s lifestyles are “very similar” to the Crawley family in the programme.
The flame-haired beauty explained: “It was really fun to show them around because I think their worlds are very similar. Erdem always had these incredible sets that tell such a story. It’s very theatrical.”
Meanwhile, Christopher – who established his eponymous fashion label in 2006 – has admitted he felt people copied his work, and he was forced to develop his designs further to prevent his creations from being “stolen”.
Speaking previously, he said: “In the past I’ve walked away from ideas and other people have stolen them so now I’m like, ‘Let’s do them all’.
“I didn’t work my a**e off with Tammy (sister and co-creative director) for 20 years for someone to just run with it and make millions.
“I’m not bitter, just honest.”
And the style mogul has revealed he wants his garments to appeal to as many people as possible.
He said: “I’m not a snob. I want the First Lady to wear my clothes but I want a Page 3 girl to wear them too.
“I don’t want to be exclusive, I want to be inclusive. I want the 60 year old who buys Oscar de la Renta to shop with us, just as I want a young girl to buy a T-shirt or a lipstick.”

Twiggy: 'Fashion has always been at the core of my life'

OHMYGOSSIP — Twiggy says fashion has “always” been at the “core” of her life.
The 67-year-old model – who is celebrating 50 years at the helm of the fashion industry this year after she made her modelling debut at the age of 16 – has admitted modelling will always be her first love, despite dabbling in acting, singing and dancing.
Speaking to The Independent Online about her career, the catwalk icon said: “This year is my 50th anniversary. I was discovered February 1966. I started out in the fashion industry aged 16 as a model, switched from modelling to acting and singing and dancing.
“But fashion has always been at the core of my life because I love it.”
And Twiggy – whose real name is Lesley Lawson – believes the most “important” thing in the world is to enjoy what you do.
She said: “The important thing in my life is what I do.
“If you’re interested in things and doing lots of things, that creates something about you that’s probably interesting.”
The sixties style icon – who has starred in campaigns for Marks & Spencer – believes beauty comes from within, although she also follows a healthy eating regime.
She explained: “I think beauty comes from within anyway.
“I love to eat good food. I do believe you are what you eat. I try to eat very healthily. I try to eat organic food. I like to cook.”
Meanwhile Twiggy has revealed she used to eat “like a horse” when she was younger, but was still criticised for her petite frame.
She said: “I mean even in the sixties I got blamed for being too skinny. I was a skinny kid! I ate like a horse. I was just thin.”
“Women are built in all shapes and sizes and I think the media should reflect that, and I think that’s healthy.”

The 25-year-old model has been announced as the global brand ambassador of the cosmetics company and has admitted her latest venture with the “iconic make-up brand” is a “dream come true”, because she has always been a fan of the label ever since she was a young girl and would regularly steal her sister’s MaxFactor products.

Whoopi Goldberg will launch a collection of 'ugly Christmas sweaters' this month

OHMYGOSSIP — Whoopi Goldberg is set to launch a collection of “ugly Christmas sweaters”.
The 60-year-old actress has ventured into the fashion industry and has teased she will launch a Winter fashion range for the forthcoming festive season, which will include knitwear and jumpers with humorous slogans emblazoned on them, and will be sold at Lord and Taylor later this month.
Speaking about her collection to Vogue.com, the ‘Sister Act’ star said: “I love what we call an ‘ugly Christmas sweater.’ I have been wearing them over the years on the show. I once said to my work partner, ‘Maybe I should design some ugly Christmas sweaters,’ and he told our friend Gary Wassner [CFDA advisory board member], who ran with the ball.”
The award winning star – who has received the Best Actress Golden Globe for her role in ‘The Colour Purple’ in 1986 – has hinted she had never intended to create as many garments for her nine-piece capsule, and was surprised to learn she had swiftly designed 14 items.
She explained: “The next thing I knew, I designed 13 and 14 of them.”
And Whoopi – who began designing Christmas sweaters eight years ago – has revealed she has continued with the line because she “likes” them.
Speaking previously, she said: “They’re fun and I like them.
“It’s just how my mind works. I think of odd things all the time and I think ‘Wouldn’t that be fun to wear?’ I think they will be fun to wear.”
And Whoopi has admitted she wants to continue to create more designs in the future.
She explained: “If they let me, yeah! I think it could be fun because there’s a lot in my very twisted brain.

The 24-year-old model has been announced as the new face of the beauty brand’s campaign for their new mascara called Scandal Eyes Reloaded, and the star has revealed she “can’t describe” how grateful she is to be a part of the “Rimmel Family” after growing up with the company when she was younger.
The ‘Suicide Squad’ actress took to social media to share the news and give a sneak preview of the forthcoming commercial.
Her Instagram post read: “I can’t describe what being a part of the Rimmel Family means to me, it is such an honour. I grew up with these images and commercials. OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Richie has copied her father Lionel Richie’s beauty routine.
The 18-year-old model – who is the daughter of Lionel Richie and his former wife Diana – has admitted she “soaks” her whole body in coconut oil, and will sleep in the natural product, which is what her parent and ‘Hello’ hitmaker used to do.
Speaking about her beauty hacks to E! Online, the blonde beauty said: “I sleep in coconut oil. I just soak in it…in my hair, on my face, on my skin, all over – it’s kind of my thing. Growing up, my dad [Lionel Richie] used to do it. He still does. So as a kid I would just cover myself in coconut oil, because I used to go like this to my dad [she rubbed her arm] all the time, and I would tell him how soft he was. I wanted to be soft … that’s a weird way to describe myself.”
And Sofia – who has recently split up from ‘Sorry’ vocalist Justin Bieber – has admitted she has a “tough personality”, and although she considers herself a “tomboy” she also likes to adorn “girly” garments as well.
Speaking about her style, she said: “I have a tough personality but then have a very soft side to me.
“I’m kind of a tomboy but I throw it together with girly pieces. For instance, I’m wearing these sweatpants but they have all these holes up the side so I’m showing some leg. I feel like I’m wearing sweatpants so it’s sporty but also sexy.”
And Sofia has revealed she doesn’t like to follow trends because she prefers to wear what she wants.
She said: “I don’t really keep up with trends; I just wear what I want. I don’t really let anyone’s opinion get to me. I stay in my own head.”

Zayn Malik will collaborate with Versus Versace on a new collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik is set to collaborate with Versus Versace on a new collection.
The 23-year-old singer has revealed he has joined forces with the fashion house and will curate his own capsule called Zayn x Versus, which he will also star in, and the dark-haired hunk has admitted he is grateful to Donatella Versace for “welcoming” him into the designer label.
The ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker announced the news on social media with a picture of him and the Italian brand’s chief designer on his Instagram account.
He captioned the black and white picture: “Thank you @donatella_versace for welcoming me into the@versus_versace family ! (sic).”
And the former One Direction band member also shared a short clip on the Instagram story, which is believed to be a snippet of his commercial.
The video captures the Versus Versace motif with the name of the artist and the fashion house, whilst the voice over said: “It is time to enter the next phase of the Versus experience.”
And the fashion house, which was first launched in 1989, are “proud” to have partnered with the musician, who they credit as a “global superstar”.
The company wrote on their Instagram account: “Versus is proud to announce our upcoming fashion collaboration with global superstar@zayn.

And Zayn’s foray into the fashion realm is all down to his 21-year-old model girlfriend Gigi Hadid, who has graced the runway for the luxury label.
Speaking to the New York Times newspaper about Zayn’s collaboration, Donatella said: “I met him again when he started to date Gigi, who I work with all the time. And he impressed me very much.
“They are very nice young people, a lovely couple, in fact.
“And then he told me how much he loved fashion. It was then I knew he was the right face for what I had in mind. He’s smart to do it with me.”
Meanwhile, Zayn has also been pegged to collaborate with Giuseppe Zanotti on a footwear range, which he teased earlier this year, but is set to be unveiled next year.

Peter Dundas quit Roberto Cavalli

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Dundas has left Roberto Cavalli.
The Norwegian fashion designer has announced he has quit the luxury fashion house on Wednesday (12.10.16) after showcasing his final collection for the designer brand during the fashion extravaganza, which took place last month during Milan Fashion Week.
And Peter, who was named the brand’s creative director in March last year, has admitted his 19-month long run at the helm of the designer label has been a “valuable experience.”
Speaking to WWD about his departure, the creative mastermind said: “I want to thank Roberto Cavalli and the group for this valuable experience and wish them success in their future endeavours.
And Peter – who has previously been part of the creative team for Emilio Pucci, Christian Lacroix and Jean Paul Gaultier – has revealed he is “especially” grateful to the ateliers he worked alongside.
He said: “I am especially grateful to the ateliers and the teams who participated in this adventure.”
And the label has admitted they will continue through the “period of transformation” and search for someone to take over from Peter, but will continue to create extravagant fashion ranges for the brand in the meantime.
The chief executive officer of Roberto Cavalli, Gian Giacomo Ferraris – who was announced as the brand’s new chief executive earlier this year in replace of Renato Semerari – explained: “On behalf of Roberto Cavalli and our shareholders, we thank Peter Dundas for his contribution to the brand, and we wish him well for his future.
“As Roberto Cavalli goes through a period of transformation, the design team will carry on and the appointment of a new creative director will be made in due course.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Rose has “very small eyes”.
The 32-year-old model – who is the new face of Flirt Cosmetics – is always on the lookout for products that lengthen her eyelashes in order to make her peepers “open up” more.
She said: “I have very small eyes, so lashes open them up. That’s always been my thing. I was super excited when I heard about the amazing eyelash applicator from Flirt.”
Amber was stunned to be asked by Flirt Cosmetics to represent them and is delighted they have embraced her unique look rather than asking her to change to suit the brand.
She told Allure.com: “I still have no idea why [Flirt Cosmetics] even wanted me!
“I thought they were going to come in and say, ‘Hey, can you grow your hair out? Cover your tattoos up?’ Instead it was ‘We love your buzz cut. We love all your tattoos. We love your feminism. We’re obsessed with your SlutWalk.’
“They embraced me for me. And that’s what makes them extra cool.”
Though Amber has a very different look to her best friend Blac Chyna, she is a fan of some of the make-up artist’s own product range.
She said: “[Blac Chyna] and I are very different when it comes to beauty, but the powders from her line are really good.”
Amber – who has a three-year-old son, Sebastian, with ex-husband Wiz Khalifa – doesn’t care what people think of her red carpet looks as she just wears things she likes.

Kylie Jenner thought no one would kiss her

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner had lip fillers because she was convinced no one would want to kiss her.
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star – who is dating Tyga – was just 16 when she had injections to give her fuller lips and admits her small mouth has always been an “insecurity”.
She said: “It has been an insecurity of mine all my life.
“This guy I kissed [in middle school] was like, ‘Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing.
“It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me.”
But the 19-year-old star admits she went too far with the treatments.
She told Complex magazine: “When you first get them done, you’re like, ‘Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.’ I’d go back and be like, ‘They went down’ and think they could be bigger. But I went too far. It was very painful.”
Kylie initially denied having the treatments because she didn’t want to be thought of as a bad role model.
She explained: “I wasn’t even 17 yet.
“What if I came out and said, ‘Oh, yeah, I got my lips done’? What are all those moms going to think about me? These kids, my fans, they’re going to think I’m crazy. I didn’t want to be a bad influence.
“I didn’t want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself. But they thought it was crazier that I was lying about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had just been honest and upfront.”

Speaking about how she maintains her mane, she said: “Sometime I spritz a mixture of both into my hair and it really gives it a nice sun kissed effect that’s far less harsh than bleach.”
The Polish beauty – who is the face of Kerastase L’Incroyable Blowdry – has picked up a catalogue of tips and tricks on how to keep her hair looking fresh over the duration of her long catwalk career.
She added: “Don’t wash your hair if you don’t have to [because] the natural oils [are good for you].”
But, when her hair is feeling a little flat, Anja – who has her own fragrance line titled Original – slips on an Alice band and applies a few squirts of the beauty product in order to give it a helping hand.
She explained: “[I apply the product at] the hairline for a couple of hours then when I take it off, the hair automatically lifts itself at the front. It saved precious hours blow drying my hair to get it bigger.”
But her hair isn’t the only thing the blonde beauty gets creative with, and she has revealed she often applies eye shadow on her lips when she’s forgotten to line her plump pout.
Speaking to Stylist magazine about her beauty hacks, she said: “I put a tiny bit of Burberry’s Eye Colour Silk in Almond on a lip brush and use it to trace the outside of my lips. It creates a shadow that makes the lips seem a lot fuller.”

Chris Pine enjoys finding 'grey hair and wrinkles'

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pine has enjoyed developing “grey hair and the wrinkles”.
The 36-year-old ‘The Finest Hours’ actor has admitted he loves the “aging process” of developing more lines on his face and the “white hairs” he is beginning to sprout in his beard because he believes it is giving his facial feature an added dimension with the range of “different colours”.
Speaking about his changing aesthetic, he said: “I’m enjoying the aging process and the gray hair and the wrinkles.
“I have some white hairs coming in, so that gives it different colours, I guess. But, quite honestly, it’s just really f***ing easy.”
And Chris has revealed he has no plans of concealing the signs of ageing by dyeing his hair or beard because he wants to follow in his “male forefathers” footsteps.
He explained: “I don’t think there’s anything less attractive than a man over-dyeing things on his face, so I’m going to try, for as long as I can, to age as my male forefathers before me.
“My father started getting greys when he was in his 30s, as did my grandfather before him, so I don’t want to look perpetually young. To each his own, but it’s just not for me. Men trying to look young doesn’t really go for me.”
The Hollywood hunk has revealed he finds doing his ablutions “very relaxing”, although trimming his facial hair irritates his skin.
He explained: “I find the ritual of shaving very relaxing, but for every day, it’s pretty irritating on my skin, so I like having the definition a beard gives.”
Meanwhile Chris – who is the face of the luxury brand Giorgio Armani’s latest fragrance Armani Code Profumo – has admitted he “appreciates” aftershave because of its “uniqueness” to each individual person wearing the scent.
The ‘Star Trek Beyond’ star – who has reprised his role as Kirk in the science fiction film – told PEOPLE: “There’s nothing really fancy about spraying a perfume on your body.
“I’m definitely of the less is more mentality, and what I really appreciate is that fragrance is chemical, and it changes with your body throughout the day. It’s a very deeply personal thing. One smell on one person isn’t the same on another, and I appreciate the uniqueness of that experience.”
