Jasmine Tookes is reportedly selling her Hampton’s home

OHMYGOSSIP — Jasmine Tookes is reportedly selling her Hampton’s home.
The 26-year-old model is believed to be selling her property in New York’s East Hamptons after she purchased the house with her ex-boyfriend Tobias Sorensen – who were dating for four years before they split last year – for $960,000 in 2016, WWD has reported.
And it is believed the brunette beauty’s 2,900 square foot abode, which boasts six bedrooms and three bathrooms across the three-storey building, has been up for sale since July this year when it went on the market for over $1 million.
The catwalk icon’s home is in the prime location as just a few steps away is the beach, but if that was not enough the property also has a large heated pool and a brand new fitted decking area.
As well as the beachfront view, the property also has well kept gardens, a large front porch, numerous fireplaces, a master suite and large cathedral ceilings.
Despite these features it is believed the house has taken a small price drop in recent weeks in a bid to get the site off their hands.
Meanwhile, the Victoria’s Secret Angel – who acquired her wings in 2015 – has admitted she wants to expand her horizons and is desperate to create a cosmetics collection, because she struggles to find makeup to suit her “unique” skin tone.
Speaking previously about her goal for the future, she said: “My goal has always been to create my own beauty line. I have such a unique skin tone – when I go on set, makeup artists have to use all different mixes of makeup to match my skin.
“I’d love to do a line that has tonnes for everybody.”

Lais Ribeiro thinks people feel ‘inspired’ by models with her ‘skin tone’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lais Ribeiro thinks people feel “inspired” when they see models with her “skin tone” on the runway.
The 27-year-old Brazilian beauty thinks it is important for brands to include women of different races in catwalk shows, because she believes it encourages females who think they “look like” the stars on the stage to feel comfortable with their appearance.
The brunette beauty – who donned the highly coveted Champagne Fantasy Nights bra during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, China, on Monday (20.11.17) – told PEOPLE: “I think for the girls out there just to get inspired and see people that they think kind of look like them. My skin tone, my hair or I’m from that country. That’s amazing inspiration for them.”
And fellow model Leomie Anderson also “loved” seeing people of “all different cultures” work together at the lingerie giant’s catwalk show.
The 24-year-old fashion muse said: “It’s so amazing to be here. I love the fact that they brought all these different cultures and all these different girls to one place. You have almost 20 different countries represented within the course of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. To have all those different people and all those different girls in one place — it’s amazing.
“I am a champion of diversity. I’m always talking about how important it is for fashion to be more diverse. I’m so proud of the Victoria’s Secret Show for encouraging that and being a part of that movement because I think it’s very important that every single person and every single girl can look at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show now and feel represented.”
Aiden Curtiss made her debut appearance in the label’s catwalk show earlier this week, which will air on CBS on November 28, and she “really appreciated” that “one of the biggest brands that defines beauty” invited women from “all over the world” to strut in a lingerie set on the U-shaped runway.
She said: “I’m actually so glad that this is my first show because of how diverse it is, and that I’m a part of that. So many of my friends are here who are from all over the world. I really appreciate that Victoria’s Secret, one of the biggest brands that defines beauty in culture in general, is taking the steps to show people that beauty isn’t just the obvious blonde hair and blue eyes. Yes, you can be beautiful if you have blonde hair and blue eyes, but you can also be beautiful if you’re from Africa or Asia. It’s amazing.”

Olivier Rousteing asked to collaborate with Victoria’s Secret ‘a year ago’

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivier Rousteing was approached to team up with Victoria’s Secret “a year ago”.
The 32-year-old fashion designer, who is the creative director of Balmain, was asked to join forces with the lingerie giant to create the VS x Balmain collection for the brand’s annual fashion show, which took place at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China, on Monday (20.11.17), over 12 months ago.
Speaking about the collaboration to Vogue.co.uk, he said: “The Victoria’s Secret team have been invited to my Balmain shows many times, and I have also been a guest on the VS front row. A year ago they came to me and said, ‘Why don’t we do something together?'”
Rousteing has revealed both him and the creative team at the fashion house decided on the Punk theme for his segment, which was “really new” for him.
He said: “We came up with the punk theme, which is something really new for me.”
Although Rousteing was unfamiliar with the theme, he carried out thorough research, and channelled ideas he uses for his own Balmain pieces.
He continued: “There are so many reference points for punk, from books to editorials in Vogue. I regrouped a lot of ideas I had in my mind for Balmain, as I channel a lot of rock ‘n’ roll in the collections.”
But on top of this, Rousteing also spoke with the models gracing the runway to further inspire his designs.
He said: “I always listen to my girls. They all come from different worlds, different backgrounds, different ethnicities and different agencies. Some have kids, some are new faces. I learn from every one of them.”
And Rousteing’s “favourite piece” he created was the “Michael Jackson-inspired” studded leather jacket Romee Strijd adorned in the showcase.
He said: ” My favourite piece is the Michael Jackson-inspired jacket Romee Strijd will wear in the show, depending on whether the rotation changes.”
This year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air on November 28 on CBS in the US and will be available to view first in the UK & Ireland on Hayu, the reality on demand channel, from 7am on November 29.
Rousteing’s capsule collection with the label will be available to buy from December 6.

Sir Paul Smith reveals the key to success

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul Smith thinks the key to success is to not be “snobby”.
The 71-year-old fashion designer has been at the helm of the fashion business for over five decades, and the mogul think designers should not act as if they are superior to others if they wish to have longevity in the business.
Speaking to Esquire Online, the creative mastermind said: “If you want to be in business for a long time, you can’t be snobby or stuck in the mud. You have to just flow with the river. So many people get formulaic. They’re so proud that they won’t change: ‘I do it this way.’ No, you don’t. You did do it that way, but now you need to do it this way.
“I’ve been here a long time. We’ve never gone like a rocket. Never borrowed money. We’ve always done it very gently and very carefully. And slowly, slowly, you build it up.”
And the entrepreneur has hinted he thinks the business has become much more competitive than ever before.
He said: ” When I started, the whole idea about being a designer is that you have an idea in your head and your heart, and you hoped somebody liked it. Now it’s all about, “Prada are doing this, Gucci are doing that.” And everyone’s nervous. And it used to be just about: this is what I do.
“Where a lot of designers get it horribly wrong is they do things just to get attention from the press. That does a huge disservice to our industry, and it doesn’t do any good for themselves most of the time, because people just think it’s silly.
“A lot of fashion is about having a carrier bag that has a particular branding on it, something that says ‘I am rich’, or ‘I am fashionable’, or ‘I am part of this club’. In my opinion, that’s linked to insecurity.”
But Paul has come a long way since he first broke into the industry, as he has revealed his first capsule included 10 garments.
He said: “The first little collection, I think it was two shirts, two pairs of pants, two jackets, two pieces of knitwear, and one suit.”

Alessandra Ambrosio’s last VS fashion show

OHMYGOSSIP — Alessandra Ambrosio is reportedly set to appear in her last ever Victoria’s Secret fashion show this year.
The 36-year-old supermodel was tapped to represent the brand in 2000, but after having represented the fashion house for almost 20 years the brunette beauty is believed to be hanging up her angel wings after she graces the runway in this year’s showcase, which will take place in Shanghai, China, and will be aired on November 28,
And it is believed the catwalk icon decided to retire from the fashion house because she wants to spend more quality time with her children Anja, nine, and Noah, five, ‘Entertainment Tonight’ has reported.
Alessandra has forged a great legacy with the lingerie giant, which saw her grace the runway for the label in 2005, and adorn two Fantasy Bras in 2012 and 2014, which marks the first ever time a model has donned the highly coveted garment more than once in the brand’s entire history.
However, the Brazilian star has made it known she doesn’t want to be in the fashion business “forever”, and she felt it was inevitable she would have to stop modelling for Victoria’s Secret later down the line.
Speaking previously about her career, she said: “I feel the opposite of her. I don’t want to go on forever. I know there comes a time that I’ll have to hang up my wings, and I’m OK with that. Everyone moves on eventually.”
Although this month’s showcase will be Alessandra’s last time in the highly anticipated catwalk show, she has been counting down the days until she slips into a raunchy underwear set.
The style muse has shared a string of images of her in the run up to the annual show, including throwback pictures to her sporting black angel wings and matching underwear from a previous show, as well as her en route to china, and her training with fellow models on her Instagram account.
The post read: “It’s almost that time of the year … #vsfashionshow #btsby @jeromeduran
“See u soon … Shanghai #vsfashionshow

Sara Sampaio has always been a fan of Victoria’s Secret

OHMYGOSSIP — Sara Sampaio has always been a fan of Victoria’s Secret.
The 26-year-old model acquired her angel wings in 2015, but she has admitted prior to working with the fashion house she has long admired the lingerie giant because she thinks the brand turns women into “glamazons”, which are females who look “powerful and beautiful”.
Speaking to Elle.com, the catwalk icon said: “Back when I wasn’t even modelling, I loved Victoria’s Secret. You see these women and they look so powerful and beautiful like no one can do any harm to them – they look like these glamazons. It’s kind of amazing to be part of it, you do really feel like that.”
Sara is set to make her fifth appearance on the runway at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai, China, on Monday (20.11.17), although it will air on November 28, and she is “really proud” she has been handpicked to represent the company. She added: “I’m really proud to be with a company that really does support their models and treats us really well and always has us as their main priority. We have so many women who work here as well, not just models.”
Sara has recently taken to social media to speak out about working in the fashion industry and feeling pressured to pose nude for shoots, which she did not want to do.
And the muse has revealed after opening up about her experiences other models have started to talk about similar issues they have faced, which made her feel better about addressing the issue.
She said: “On many occasions where the shoot was to not have nudity, I would arrive on set and the photographer or stylist would pressure, cajole or demand that I pose nude because I had done it in the past. I was bullied. Many times, I was showed nude images of myself as examples to coerce me into posing nude, and whenever I stood my ground and refused, I was criticised and judged as being difficult.
“When I shared that story, I had so many of my friends and other models come to me and were like, ‘Oh my God, that happened to me, thank you for speaking out’ and if any of them would have talked about their stories, maybe that wouldn’t have happened to me. So that’s why I felt it was so important to share my story; hopefully if I’m saving one girl from having to go through what I did, it will be worth it.”

Kaia Gerber pays tribute to Azzedine Alaïa

OHMYGOSSIP — Kaia Gerber feels heartbroken by the death of Azzedine Alaïa.
The fashion designer tragically passed away on Saturday (18.11.17) aged 77 years old, and heartfelt tributes have come flooding in by models and singers who have praised the late mogul for his work.
The 16-year-old catwalk icon – who is the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber – posted a sweet photograph of her embracing the businessman on her Instagram account.
She captioned the post: “my heart breaks to wake up to this news. there is no one who will ever replace you in this world. you spread love everywhere you went, and i was just one of the few who were lucky enough to experience it. the confidence and power you gave women was truly inspiring. we were so fortunate to have had you share your beautiful vision with us. (sic).”
Although Kaia is “beyond grateful” to have known Azzedine, she believes he was “gone too soon”.
Her post continued: “I will love you forever and am so beyond grateful to have known you. gone too soon mr. alaïa (sic).”
Fellow fashion muse Karlie Kloss has also taken to her photo-sharing site to reminisce over the “true angel”, and praise him for empowering females with his creations.
Alongside a string of images of the blonde-haired beauty beside Azzedine, she wrote: “The world has lost a true angel. I am saddened by the news of Monsieur Alaïa passing, but feel incredibly grateful to have known the man behind the legend. When you slip on an Alaïa creation, you turn into the most powerful and confident version of yourself. Similar to the way his designs make you feel special and embraced, his energy had the same affect. (sic).”
The Kode With Klossy founder has also hailed Azzedine for making a “profound impact” on the fashion industry, as well as on her career.
She continued: “Thank you Monsieur Alaïa for your profound impact on the fashion industry, on my career, and in my life. I am grateful to know you and to learn from you. You will live on forever in the hearts of all you’ve inspired. (sic).”
And the 25-year-old has admitted she has “never” felt as “special” as she did when she modelled for the couturier in 2011 and earlier this year.
She concluded: “I met Monsieur Alaïa for the first time in 2011 when I was invited to a casting for his highly anticipated couture show in Paris. I remember walking into his atelier, between the mountains of fabrics and dresses, and thinking: ‘if only these walls could talk.’ Before I knew it, I was sitting at his dinner table, between Alaïa and his dog Dine Dine speaking nearly fluent French. This was something I’d never done so well before — I credit the adrenaline and the sheer amazement of what I was experiencing. I floated through dinner and back into the atelier where I tried on dress after dress for the entire atelier. He gave me the privilege of opening his final two couture shows in 2011 and 2017. Never had I felt more special or grateful. May you Rest In Peace. (sic).”

Natasha Poly reveals her beauty secrets

OHMYGOSSIP — Natasha Poly doesn’t “trust” setting sprays.
The 32-year-old model has admitted she avoids using the beauty product that is spritzed on the face to ensure the wearer’s make-up sets, and instead she relies on Clarins’ Powder Pore Perfecting Matifying Kit, which comes with blotting paper, to remove any moisture from her face.
Speaking about her beauty hacks to Refinery29.com, the blonde-haired beauty said: “I like the Clarins powder compact because it’s translucent and it comes with blotting papers to get rid of any shine. I don’t trust setting sprays — or I haven’t found the right one yet.”
Prior to removing any excess shine from her skin, the star applies a string of cosmetic items to her face, starting with Make Up For Ever’s stick foundation, which is followed by a touch of her “gold pen”, which is Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat, and Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage matte powder.
She explained: “[The Make Up For Ever stick ] I use it with a brush and a sponge. I first spread it on with a brush, then I use the sponge to take the extra off so it has a thinner texture and it’s pressed into my skin, not sitting on top of it.
“I use the gold pen to draw lines under my eyes, on top of my nose, on the smile wrinkles around my lips, then a dab on my chin, on my cheekbones, and on the bone of my eyebrows.
“[Then she applies Laura Mercier product] it gives a more matte finish, because the YSL has a very watery texture and the Laura Mercier is very dry, so together, it’s the best coverage.”
The Russian catwalk icon then works on her eye make-up, and applies a variety of colours to her lid prior to using eye liner and mascara.
She said: “I use the darker brown [of Tarte’s Tartelette In Bloom compact ] to shape up the crease of the eyelid — really just on the crease, and then I blend it out.
“The waterproof formula [of Chanel’s Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner] is great because it stays on all day long and has a drier finish, so it doesn’t smudge. I like to apply it between my eyelashes, just on the roots, so it’s super-natural and lived-in.
“[Then she applies NARS Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara] It’s the best — and it really lifts my lashes so they stay put all day.”
Natasha continues her routine by highlighting her features with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, before she applies Givenchy’s Healthy Glow bronzer, which she claims makes her look like she has been basking in the sun.
She said: “I use the Hourglass highlighter on my cheekbones, below my eyebrow, in the middle of the chin, and down the nose.
“I apply this bronzer along the frame of my face, then add a little bit on the middle of my cheeks with a big fluffy brush, which makes the colour look subtle and natural. Plus, it’s amazing for red carpet looks because it looks like I’ve just been in the sun.”

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana open up about their creative process

OHMYGOSSIP — Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are often asked why they do not create “sexy clothes anymore”.
The creative duo – who founded their eponymous fashion house in 1985 – boast a large celebrity clientele, but when they are quizzed about their creations and are asked to make their designs more provocative they have declined, because they remember “exactly” why they made the garment and vow never to “repeat” previous items because they think it is “impossible”.
Speaking to Vogue Online, Dolce, 59, said: “Many people asked us why we don’t make the sexy clothes anymore, so I started to look at my archive. Honestly, every piece of clothing to me is a moment. I remember exactly why we made it. And we never want to repeat the same show, which is why we changed. It was a moment. It’s impossible to repeat.”
And the moguls have revealed they prefer to work with “characters” rather than models because it enables the duo to find the “correct clothes” to suit the wearer, which they find “more exciting”.
Dolce continued: “When we work with models they are modelling, but with characters you need to discover the character and find the correct clothes for them. It’s more exciting, because you can’t just make what you want.”
And the pair do not think a designer needs to discuss their outfits and ask for confirmation from stylists about their work, but simply let their “cool outfits” do the talking.
Dolce explained: “If you want to speak to your audience, you need to talk about your experiences; your point of view, your life. Not just make twenty-five cool outfits. If you’re honest as a designer, you talk about your life. You don’t talk about twenty-five outfits with a stylist going, ‘Is this cool like this?’ No.”

Emma Roberts goes through ‘phases’ of wanting long and short hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Roberts goes through “phases” of wanting long and short hair.
The 26-year-old actress has experimented with her hair styles over the years, as she has opted for long dark brown locks, as well as a short blonde do to being a red head, and the reason she has trialled so many different looks is because she likes being able to tie her hair up, but also likes the low maintenance of having a crop.
Speaking about her style choices to PEOPLE, the ‘Nerve’ star said: “I go through phases. Sometimes I like having long hair because I can put it up in a ponytail but I love having short hair because I can just roll out of bed.”
Emma portrayed Chanel in ‘Scream Queens’, and she has admitted her biggest regret was not raiding her character’s wardrobe when the production ended, although she has revealed she did keep hold of a Chanel toiletry bag that was never used on set.
She explained: “When we’re filming the show, it looks like one second on TV, but we’re actually in these outfits for weeks at a time sometimes, so you’re so sick of everything by the end of it, you don’t want it. And then a year later you’re like, ‘why didn’t I keep that?’ I did take this little yellow Chanel toiletry bag that we never actually used on the show, so that was my one Chanel Chanel thing.”
The New York-born beauty has a very hectic schedule, but on her days off she loves nothing more than taking a long hot bath in the afternoon, where she can read and relax to her hearts content.
She said: “At 2 P.M. I’ll take a bath with my book, and my friends are like ‘What are you doing?’ and I’m like ‘Taking a bath!’ and they’re like ‘It’s 2 P.M.!’ I’ve been working for three months straight, I’m allowed to take a 2 P.M. bath.”
