Gwen Stefani gets touching note from wedding dress designer Vera Wang

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani received a touching note and a bunch of white roses from Vera Wang thanking the pop star for letting her design her wedding dresses.
The 51-year-old singer shared an Instagram Story in which she showed off the large bouquet of flowers she received from Wang along with a message expressing the designer’s joy at being able to contribute the gowns for her nuptials to Blake Shelton in July.
The note read: “Dearest Gwen, what a pleasure to have shared in your happiness by choosing us to dress you, not once, but twice.
“As an enormous fan, on behalf of me and my team, again thank you. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness! XVERA.”
Gwen, 51, then posted a video thanking Wang, 72, for her dresses and her sweet gesture.
The No Doubt star said: “Wow Vera! Thank you so much for the gorgeous flowers, but the dress … like, it was literally a dream come true to be able to work with you and get married to Blake in your gown. I love you so much. Thank you!”
Gwen also shared a video which seemed to show one of her wedding dresses stored in a large white box with the words “My Wedding Gown” inscribed at the top and “Fragile. Handle with Care” on the side.
Wang’s two creations were inspired by Gwen’s personality and music.
The wedding dress that the ‘Hollaback Girl’ hitmaker wore on her big day when she said “I do” was a custom lily-white silk georgette gown with a plunging neckline, cut away back, fitted bodice and high low hand tumbled tulle skirt.
The dress that Gwen wore at her reception was a lily-white Italian silk crepe and hand tumbled tulle strapless mini-dress which featured a pair of hand-sewn love birds symbolising Gwen and Blake’s love for one another.
Gwen and Blake, 45, tied the knot in a chapel set up in the back garden on the country singer’s Oklahoma ranch on July 3 in front of 40 of their closest friends and family members, including her sons Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, seven, who she shares with her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

New York Fashion Week shows will only accept fully vaccinated guests

OHMYGOSSIP — New York Fashion Week will only allow vaccinated guests at their shows.
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has announced that in line with the city’s COVID-19 mandate, those who have not been fully inoculated against the virus will be refused admission to all of their events between September 8 and 12.
In a statement issued to Instagram the CFDA said: “In accordance with the City of New York’s Covid-19 vaccination mandate announced this morning, it is the CFDA’s directive that all New York Fashion Week events require proof of vaccination for any guests, staff members or individuals on-site.
“Following IMG’s announcement of a vaccination requirement at NYFW: The Shows, we encourage the broader industry to follow suit as it is imperative to place the safety of guests and those working events in the highest priority.
“We will be closely following updates and recommendations from the CDC, New York State, and City, and will be releasing further detailed guidelines in mid-August. (sic)”
The decision follows the Met Gala announcing a similar policy.
The annual fashion extravaganza will take place on September 13, and attendees for fashion’s biggest night have been warned they must be vaccinated and wear a face mask while indoors.
A spokesperson said: “Currently, all attendees at The Met Gala on September 13 must provide proof of full vaccination and will also be expected to wear masks indoors except when eating or drinking. We will update these guidelines as needed.”

Naomi Watts’ mother influenced her clean-living lifestyle

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Watts’ mother inspired her clean-living lifestyle.
The 52-year-old actress has shared how her upbringing with a “health-conscious” parent has meant she’s naturally always cared about what she puts inside her body.
She said: “I’m a child of the ’70s, and I was raised by a woman who was burning her bra, baking her own bread, making her own clothes and only eating whole foods — brown bread, brown rice, brown flour. Everything was health-conscious. So this became my natural comfort zone.”
The ‘Penguin Bloom’ star also insisted that exercise is vital to keep her mental health in shape.
She told Haute Living: “I’m in the middle of my life, and I feel good. I feel strong. Exercise keeps me feeling strong, and it also keeps my head right by fending off any kind of depression. I feel more like myself in my 50s, having accumulated a number of experiences, ups and downs, and gotten through them. And that’s a good feeling.”
And while Naomi is “reasonably happy” in life, she knows that happiness is not always promised.
She said: “You know, happiness is something that I love, and I consider myself a reasonably happy person, but you do have to work at it. It has to be earned. It isn’t always given. You have to make sure things are set up right in your life, and I’m okay with that. I like how things are going today.”

Bryan Adams photographed naked Rita Ora in bathtub for Pirelli Calendar 2022

OHMYGOSSIP — Bryan Adams photographed a naked Rita Ora in the bathtub for the iconic Pirelli Calendar 2022.
The Canadian rock star and photographer was tasked with taking snaps of famous faces, also including Cher, Grimes, Jennifer Hudson, Iggy Pop, Normani, Saweetie and St. Vincent, for the iconic calendar’s upcoming edition titled ‘On The Road’.
And along with the unveiling of this year’s Pirelli stars, a black and white shot of the ‘Summer of ’69’ hitmaker taking the intimate photograph of the 30-year-old pop star in a hotel bathroom by Alessandro Scotti has been released.
Bryan, 61, can be seen standing on a toilet to get the money shot.
In a press release, the musician said: “On the road is where I have been for the last 45 years, because the life of a musician is made up of roads, travel, waiting in hotels, hours backstage.”
Bryan spent just two days in Los Angeles shooting the pictures in June, and one day in Capri in July, where he took photos of rapper Saweetie, 28, at the Hotel La Scalinatella.
Music legend Cher, 75, was photographed backstage lit by the glow of dressing room mirror lights, experimental pop artist Grimes, 33, was captured in the process of creation, rocker Iggy, 74, can be seen painted in silver for an “after show celebration”, while former Fifth Harmony star Normani, 25, was snapped leaning up against a tour bus.
Rapper Bohan Phoenix and R&B-pop star Kali Uchis also appear in the calendar.
The UK subsidiary of Italian tyre brand Pirelli started the calendar in 1964, with art director Derek Forsyth and British photographer Robert Freeman working on the first edition.
Over the years, the likes of Cindy Crawford, Miranda Kerr, Nicole Kidman, Hilary Swank and Uma Thurman have appeared in the calendar.
The presentation of ‘On The Road’ will take place in November, and will mark the return of the Pirelli Calendar after it was suspended last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jennifer Aniston reacts to wearing same suit as Harry Styles

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Aniston has dubbed herself “Harriet Styles” after she wore the same Gucci suit as Harry Styles.
The 52-year-old actress rocked the same retro sepia-toned flared pantsuit that the ‘Watermelon Sugar’ hitmaker, 27, wore on the red carpet at the BRIT Awards in May for her shoot inside the September edition of InStyle magazine.
And sharing pictures of the pair side by side in the ensemble on her Instagram Story, the ‘Friends’ alum quipped: “Just call me Harriet Styles.”
The One Direction star accessorised the suit with a caramel handbag, while Jennifer added some statement white heels.
It’s not the first time the fashion twins have matched either, as Harry once wore the ‘Save the Drama for Your Mama’ slogan tee Jennifer wore as Rachel Green in season 10 of the hit sitcom.
Meanwhile, in her InStyle cover story, Jennifer confessed that she “doesn’t know” how to stand on a red carpet.
The ‘Morning Show’ actress has been in the public eye for decades but she still feels uncomfortable posing at high-profile events, though she finds it easier if she recognises the photographers.
Asked how she figured out her best pose, she said: It depends on your stylist, because they go, ‘Never do this! Always do this!’ I’m like, ‘Well, that feels weird.’
“I don’t know how to stand on a red carpet, but you do the best you can.
“I also try to connect with those people holding cameras. Some of them I’ve known a long time, so I’ll say hello. If I’m having an honest interaction with someone, it makes it easier.”
The ‘Just Go With It’ star claimed the key to posing with a friend is to “clench jaws” and “say fake nothings” before eventually one of them will laugh.
After the magazine’s reporter recalled once taking a picture with Jennifer and telling her “with a clenched jaw” that she didn’t know how she did it, the actress replied: “And I said, ‘This is how we do it. We clench jaws together, say fake nothings, and make each other laugh eventually!'”

Jennifer Lopez on guest list for Met Gala?

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez is rumoured to have made the guest list for the Met Gala.
According to Page Six, the ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker, who has been a regular at the high-profile fashion event since 2004, is on Anna Wintour’s star-studded guest list.
Jennifer has recently rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck – who she had been set to wed back in 2003 but postponed their wedding due to “excessive media attention” before calling off their engagement the following year – and the September 13 extravaganza is the perfect place for the couple to make their red carpet debut.
Other big names said to have been invited include Rihanna, Lupita Nyong’o, Camila Cabello, and Emily Ratajkowski.
Guests at this year’s Met Gala must be vaccinated against coronavirus.
Those set to attend fashion’s biggest night have been warned they will be refused admission without proof they are fully inoculated against the virus, and must also wear a mask while indoors.
A spokesperson told The Daily Beast this week: “Currently, all attendees at The Met Gala on September 13 must provide proof of full vaccination and will also be expected to wear masks indoors except when eating or drinking. We will update these guidelines as needed.”
The 2020 Met Gala was cancelled last year because of the pandemic, and this year it’s been pushed back from its traditional slot on the first Sunday in May.
This year’s event has the theme ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ and will be hosted by Billie Eilish, Naomi Osaka, Amanda Gorman, and Timothee Chalamet, with Tom Ford and Anna Wintour serving as honorary chairs.
At just 19, Billie will make history as the youngest ever co-chair of the prestigious event.
Announcing the hosts in May, Vogue magazine said: “Each of the Met’s four co-hosts embodies the defining factor of American style: individualism.
“[They have each] developed a distinct visual language for their public personas, one that is informed by the legacy of iconic fashion made in the USA.”

The ‘Slumber Party’ singer – who has launched the Good Hair Days Kit with Eva NYC – has said “maintaining good health practices” is vital on “those intense, strenuous workdays” and her mother always makes sure she is “taped for support”.
She said: “My mom is a physical therapist, which is nice because she’s always making sure I am taped up for support.
“I’m big on massages, stretching, Epson salt baths, and maintaining good health practices between those intense, strenuous workdays.”
The 28-year-old star – who is set to release her sixth studio album, ‘333’, on Friday (06.08.21) – has also shared how she maintains her luscious locks on busy workdays, and she swears by her Freshen Up dry shampoo and priming mist for a quick fix.
She told Byrdie.com: “I change hairstyles a lot, and I love the primer.
“When I don’t want to do a full wash day, the [Freshen Up] dry shampoo is super convenient because it doesn’t spray on white but still keeps my hair feeling clean.”
All of the products are cruelty-free and “super sustainable”, which is extremely important to the ‘Superlove’ singer.
Tinashe added: “I love that Eva NYC is super sustainable, cruelty-free, and vegan.
“They check many boxes that are important to me.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas joins Bulgari as brand ambassador

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been made a brand ambassador for Bulgari.
The 39-year-old actress – who is married to pop star Nick Jonas – has revealed the main reason she accepted the offer from the Italian luxury goods brand was because of their work with children’s charity Save The Children.
In a statement, she said: “I endeavour to align myself with brands that recognise their immense social responsibility. Bulgari has made great impact in their efforts to support children in need around the world, and I look forward to working together to continue that work.”
The ‘Baywatch’ star joining the Bulgari family comes days after Eiza Gonzalez was announced as the first Latin American ambassador for the brand.
The ‘Baby Driver’ actress is set to appear in ads in the US for Bulgari and admitted she is “grateful” to be able to represent “Latinas around the world”.
She said: “While growing up, it was really hard to find women who looked like me in ads or billboards. So the fact that young Latinas around the world can see an immigrant woman like them be part of a family like Bulgari and feel represented is what matters to me. I am grateful for Bulgari’s active choice of choosing diversity and I’m excited to venture with them in expanding the conversation and inspiring new generations to follow their dreams. It’s an absolute honour.”
The 31-year-old Mexican star wants to show that “the contemporary Latin woman is multifaceted” through her work with the brand.
She added: “Our culture is so special. Latin America is rich in culture, optimism, celebration of tradition and the epitome of hard work. It’s about passing along knowledge from one generation to the next. I’m here thanks to the hard work of my family and trailblazing women dedicating their lives to expand and breaking boundaries. I hope that as a brand ambassador and through the work I get to do over the next few years, it will show that the contemporary Latin woman is multifaceted not only as an actress but as an advocate, producer and a fierce believer in championing our culture.”

Serena Williams living in Gaiter Mask Dress to ‘stay protected’ from COVID-19

OHMYGOSSIP — Serena Williams is living in her to help her “stay protected” from COVID-19.
The 39-year-old tennis ace – who has three-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia with husband Alexis Ohanian – has revealed her current fashion staple is her brand S By Serena’s all-in-one gown with a gaiter mask, which provides extra cover with a face mask worn underneath, amid the global pandemic.
Serena said: “I’m into the one look and done thing. My clothing staple at the time is the Gaiter Mask Dress from my clothing line S by Serena.
“With the Delta-9 variant of COVID-19 spreading, especially in Los Angeles, I want to stay protected and the built-in gaiter helps, you know? I would highly recommend wearing a mask under it, but it makes me feel a little bit better at least.”
As for glam, the sports legend has been experimenting with colour this summer.
She told Essence magazine: “For the summer, I am experimenting with make-up, colours, and long lashes.”
And Serena swears by coconut oil for removing stubborn make-up products.
She added: “Obviously, washing it all off is a whole new monster but it’s not that complicated since I got this whole method down to a science years ago. I use coconut oil to remove my make-up and it literally slides off.”
When it comes to self-care, Serena is trying to take “an hour a day” just for herself.
On balancing being a working mum with her mental well-being, she explained: “The best self-care routine that I have now is just taking an hour a day for myself. Right now, I’m probably averaging like two or three hours a week. It really is kind of like a mental break.
“Sometimes I like to get facials or even binge-watch my favourite show at the time: Manifest.
“Being a mom, I really need it [self-care] because I give so much time to my daughter. I need to learn to have a little more balance.”

Jessie Cave’s heartbreaking costume fittings

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessie Cave says she is terrified of fittings after a costume director implied she needed to lose weight.
The 34-year-old actress refused to name the project but admitted the actions of the costume director left her deeply hurt and upset when they grabbed her stomach to indicate the need to drop some pounds.
She told The Observer: “It was just horrible. And I laughed. You’re like: ‘Oh, you’re hurting me. Actually, it’s fine.’ That kind of stuff stays with you. Now I go into the costume fitting for any job and I’m terrified. I’m prepared to be told something unkind. You’re treated like a different type of thing; you’re not somebody with feelings who has thought about what pants they’re going to wear that day because they’re going to be seen.
“Now when they’re nice to me, and they are sensitive to how I may be feeling about my body, or that I may be breastfeeding or whatever, I almost cry.
“I’ve definitely considered losing weight – and when I have lost weight, I tend to get a part. I mean, it’s not rocket science. But I eat healthily, I’m a normal-sized woman, and I’m still regarded, probably, as a fat actress.”
Jessie is best known for playing Lavender Brown in the ‘Harry Potter’ films but admitted she never felt she was the right fit for the role.
She said: “I was not a right fit for the industry at that time. Lavender Brown is conventionally pretty, no glasses, small. By the time I went back to do the last film, I had gained a bit of weight and I wasn’t that person any more.”

Michael Kors ‘never dreamed’ of his fashion success

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Kors “never dreamed” he would be as successful as he has been.
The 61-year-old fashion designer created his eponymous clothing company 40 years ago and admitted that he never thought it would be a worldwide brand.
He told WWD: “40 years in, to see men and women around the world wearing my designs – in a million years, I never dreamed. Toronto was my idea of a foreign city. But, of course, at the time, I thought 30 was old. So it’s all relative.”
Kors and his husband Lance LePere have spent the summer “revenge traveling,” in Greece and Italy and attending live shows in New York to make up for the COVID-19 lockdown last year.
He said: “We’re doing it all. We’ve seen ‘Springsteen on Broadway,’ which was spectacular and exciting to see him back, and we did Shakespeare in the Park just the other night. It’s a precarious time, but I think there’s real pent-up excitement and desire to be together, communal. Community — [shows] are all about that, fashion’s all about that. I know women who are just excited to be able to put on a pair of heels and get out and get dressed.”
Michael recently celebrated his milestone 40 years in the industry with a dinner co-hosted by Lizzie Tisch and Naomi Watts.
Tisch said: “He’s highly enjoyable. The fact that he’s been in business – specifically that business – for 40 years is quite an accomplishment.”

Felicity Jones’ fashionable company

OHMYGOSSIP — Felicity Jones named her new production company after a style of collar worn by Elizabeth I.
The 37-year-old actress and her brother Alex started up Piecrust Productions during the COVID-19 pandemic and Felicity says they were inspired by the fashion style of the late royal, who was Queen of England from 1558 until her death in 1603.
She told The Mail On Sunday’s You magazine: “The company is named after a style of collar worn by Elizabeth I. One of the themes of projects that we’re looking at is ‘defiance’, and Elizabeth I felt like a good reference as one of the original defiant women. Starting this company is what Alex and I have always wanted to do. I aim to go into every aspect of filmmaking.”
Felicity also had a piecrust collar on her Erdem wedding dress, when she tied the knot with film director Charles Guard at Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, England, in 2018.
Meanwhile, the busy actress and mother-of-one revealed she likes to relax with wild swimming and early morning runs.
She said: “I’ve done it from such a young age so it feels normal for me to always be working,’ she says, ‘That said, you don’t want to be doing it in extremis so you’re run ragged.
“It’s hard, though. It’s quite an extreme industry at the best of times and when something is happening, it is all-encompassing, and it takes over.”

She said: “The closest analogy is feeling like Cinderella going to the ball.
“Anna Wintour took the time to ask me over Zoom; I was not expecting that at all.”
Speaking about her colleagues, Amanda added how she “feels like being a freshman at a party with seniors.”
She explained: ” You know? Like I just arrived here. My life has changed quite recently and they are all at the top of their game, and so I’m just absorbing what it means to be able to stand beside their greatness.
“There is something unifying in us being young and fresh-faced but, at the same time, we have become somewhat emblematic of our industries. We are the new generation — and you’d better watch out.”

” I want to know what gives her the look like she’s about to be seething. It’s amazing. She’s almost stuck getting mad at somebody, but she’s just so gorgeous.
“She’s like, ‘I can’t believe I’m standing here.’ But I don’t think she’s trying; she fell out of bed that way. She’s a performer.”

Joey King’s mood boost secret

OHMYGOSSIP — Joey King’s mood “increases” if she wears make-up.
The ‘Kissing Booth’ actress always feels better when she applies cosmetics, even if there’s no one around to see how much effort she’s made with her appearance, because it helps her to “reclaim” her day.
She said: “I love make-up. If I just throw on a little bit, my mood increases, even if I’m not seeing anyone.
“Like today, I had a lot of stuff to do, but when I was finished with that stuff, after I showered, I didn’t have anything to do necessarily.
“So I swiped a little mascara and put on a little eyeliner, brushed on my eyebrows and I was like, ooh, s***. It’s just a way to reclaim your day.”
The 22-year-old actress needs exercise to help her feel relaxed.
She told Byrdie magazine: “This sounds odd, but I didn’t know that I was the type of person that needs exercise to not feel wound up. If I’m feeling pent up and I don’t know why, if I just move my body, then all of a sudden I’m so much more relaxed.”
And though it makes her “miserable”, Joey forces herself to take an ice bath every day to ease away the day and finds it helps her to sleep better.
Speaking about her daily routine, she said: “I wake up, I pack my Gatorade and many litres of water. I eat a big breakfast: a bowl of oats with lots of fruit and some toast.
“I head to training, where I f*****’ go for it for a few hours. Then I have meetings to prepare for the rest of the film.
“Then I take a shower, shove myself in an ice bath, and then I am miserable while I’m doing that. But then I get out and sleep like a goddamn baby.”
