Emilia Clarke feels confident with clear skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke thinks good skin is the key to feeling confident.
The ‘Me Before You’ actress admitted she feels like a teenager again if she has a breakout and she’s learned the best way to handle them is not to fall into the trap of covering up with more make-up.
She told Britain’s Marie Claire magazine: “I feel like skincare is the first step to finding the aesthetic side of confidence. When you have bad skin it fucks with your confidence and makes you feel 13 again.
“You go through that stage of thinking I should put more make-up on – that will help. But it looks worse and you’re hiding from the world. But if you have good skin, you walk around more confidently.”
The 34-year-old star is grateful to her mum for instilling a good skincare routine in her from an early age.
Asked if her regime has changed since she was in her 20s, she said: “It has and it hasn’t. It hasn’t with the whole cleanse, tone, moisturise thing. I’ve been doing that forever, since day dot, because my mum told me to.
“My mother taught me well. She used to work at Revlon, so she knew what was up.
“She taught me to cleanse, tone and moisturise morning and night. And because I’ve been doing that now for 21 years, I could be black out drunk and I would still cleanse, tone and moisturise. It happens without me realising it.”
But Emilia – who is an ambassador for Clinique – has also began to take steps to combat the signs of ageing now.
She added: “But what I have added in the Smart Clinical Repair Wrinkle Correcting Serum. It is absolutely brilliant.
“My mum always said it’s all about prevention. She said if you start thinking about wrinkles and lines in your 30s, it’s going to be much less of an issue when you get older.
“You know when you bump into a friend you haven’t seen in ages, and they just look amazing. That’s what this serum does. It has retinoid in it, which I’ve always been petrified of putting on my skin, because it’s really sensitive. But it’s totally fine.
“What it does is it stops your skin looking sallow at the end of the day and prevents any make-up from getting lodged in creases. It’s smoother and replumps.”

Hilary Swank creates sweater and dog jumper pattern to raise funds for Hilaroo Foundation

OHMYGOSSIP — Hilary Swank has teamed up with LoveCrafts to create a matching sweater vest pattern and dog jumper to raise funds for her Hilaroo Foundation.
The two-time Oscar-winner founded the charity to “bring youth, who have been given up on, and animals, who have been abandoned, together to help heal one another through Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Responsibility Training.”
The ‘Million Dollar Baby’ star was inspired to launch the non-profit organisation after she rescued her beloved late pet pooch Karoo on the set of the 2005 film ‘Red Dust’ in South Africa.
And, as part of her continued efforts to raise funds for the charity, the 47-year-old actress has worked with knitting expert Debbie Bliss to create the adorable pattern, with all proceeds going to the Hilaroo Foundation.
Edward Griffith, CEO and Founder of LoveCrafts, commented: “We really believe crafting makes the world a better place to be. Science has proven the positive impact crafting has on both our physical and mental wellbeing, and there are hidden benefits too! Being part of a global community and making new friends through a shared passion. Altruistic opportunities, using your craft for good by knitting or crochet for charity. And of course, there’s the joy of keeping age-old traditions alive, passing skills down through the generations.
I hope our research inspires some members of the public to try out something creative that maybe they wouldn’t have considered before. It might start a lifelong passion!”
Hilary returned to the spotlight in 2018, following a three-year hiatus, and she previously insisted she’s keen to only work on things she’s passionate about, such as her 2020 Netflix drama ‘Away’.
She said in 2020: “Before being an actor, I wanted to be an astronaut. I had such passion for, and respect for, astronauts and people who are exploring something that’s so much bigger than all of us.
“Something else, which was just as significant to me when I read ‘Away’, was that the script was unique in its inclusion of so many multi-ethnic characters. They too are all struggling with their own powerful personal stories, which really connects all of us. It also highlights the beautiful fact that space has no borders. We could use more of that down here right now.”

Yasmin and Amber Le Bon the face of Olivanna skincare

OHMYGOSSIP — Yasmin and Amber Le Bon are the faces of Olivanna’s new skincare range.
The mother-and-daughter model duo front the new ad campaign by the relatively new vegan and cruelty-free brand by Janine Summers.
The 56-year-old supermodel and her 32-year-old daughter – whom she has with Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon – were chosen to front the campaign for their “unique sense of style” and their special bond.
Janine explained: “Yasmin and Amber were chosen as the faces of Olivanna as they represent our brand ethos of skincare for all generations; they are both strong, iconic British women, with a unique sense of style.
“Their relationship as well as the energy and chemistry between them as mother and daughter is truly special and this comes across beautifully in the campaign.”
Janine was inspired by her own daughters to create the skincare for women.
She told POPSUGAR: “My daughters started to take an interest in my skincare regime a few years ago, and I began to think about the products I’d like them to try when the time came.”
And she hopes the products will be “shared” between family members and loved ones.
She added: “It’s a brand that can be shared between women, whether you want to gift a friend, auntie, sister, yourself … I want it to feel really special from every aspect including the packaging, how we source the ingredients, to how you receive it at home.”
The natural products include the Bakuchiol Miracle Night Serum, Intense Repair Night Cream, and Bakuchiol Restoring Eye Cream.
Janine added: “I’m happy that they can not only use my own Olivanna products safely, but that there is an exciting new Olivanna range launching specifically for girls and young women in 2022.”

Charli XCX: Break The Rules with Pandora

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli XCX loves how Pandora encourages their customers to “break the rules”.
The ‘Break the Rules’ hitmaker is known for her unique fashion choices and insisted she loves being part of the jewellery retailer’s latest campaign because their PandoraMe collection enables the wearer to embrace “every side” of their personality.
She explained: “The whole vibe of the collection is that you can wear it however you want.
“You [can] kind of break the rules with jewellery and adapt it to every side of your personality.”
The 29-year-old pop star insisted she prefers to dress for how she is feeling rather than follow trends.
Charli added to InStyle: “It works for a lot of different styles, but that’s kind of the vibe of this collection.
“It’s allowing you to express yourself. I’ve always kind of worn funkier jewellery.
“I just wear what I want and dress for my mood.”
The ‘Pink Diamond’ singer stars alongside Addison Rae, Donte Colley, Beabadoobee, and Cecilia Cantarano in the Pandora campaign.
Meanwhile, Charli previously revealed that Fran Drescher is her style muse.
Fran’s character, Fran Fine, in the CBS sitcom ‘The Nanny’ is her ultimate style icon because she loves the “big hair and loud prints”.
She said in 2019: “Fran Drescher in ‘The Nanny’. I never really watched it growing up but when I was younger I worked with a stylist who kept telling me I dressed like The Nanny and would gravitate towards the kind of things she wore. I was like ‘okay, right, who is this?’ and started looking into her and the looks were just endless! I think big hair and bold colours and loud prints always get me really excited, plus the cuts of all the clothes she wore were always just really cute. There were lots of minis and cropped jackets, and co-ords, and her look is very maximalist in a way.”

Cardi B ‘so proud’ of Offset after he walked in Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B is “so proud” of her husband Offset after he walked in the Spring/Summer 2022 Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week.
The ‘Up’ hitmaker, 28, and her spouse posed in equally as head-turning ensembles, with the former donning an oversized black hat and a Balenciaga trench coat covered in magazine covers and the Migos star wearing a leather jacket, hoodie and a checked shirt tied around his waist, with each piece made several sizes bigger for dramatic effect.
Cardi captioned a series of snaps of the pair at the event: “…popped out to s/s 22 @balenciaga show! So proud of my husband @offsetyrn who walked the show!
“Thank you @demnagvasalia and the Balenciaga team for your hospitality! I had such an amazing experience!! (sic)”
While Offset, 29, added to his own profile: “Thank you @Balenciaga and @demnagvasalia for allowing me to be apart of your art SS22. (sic)”
Last week, Cardi turned heads in two jaw-dropping Thierry Mugler outfits at Paris Fashion Week, three weeks after giving birth to her second child.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker only welcomed a sibling for her three-year-old daughter Kulture – whom she has with husband Offset – into the world less than a month ago.
And she made a surprise appearance at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs for the Thierry Mugler, Couturissime exhibit on Tuesday (28.09.21).
The first extravagant ensemble was a plunging red sequined gown from Mugler’s 1995 couture collection, complete with a matching cape and feathers.
Not only did the 28-year-old rap megastar – who accessorised with gloves and a statement ruby necklace – have her eyebrows covered in red gems, she also debuted a new eyebrow piercing.
Later on in the evening, the mother-of-two rocked a black leather corset with a sheer skirt.
The Grammy-winner shared the show-stopping looks on her Instagram page and captioned the post: “Thank you @manfredthierrymugler for including me in such a historical night, the opening of your exhibit in Paris! Truly one of my favorite creative minds in the WORLD! I’m mind blown looking at your collections from over the years. A true Genius! (sic)”
Cardi previously turned heads in a vintage Mugler gown inspired by Botticelli’s ‘The Birth of Venus’ at the 2019 Grammys.

Tommy Dorfman loves being at Paris Fashion week as ‘myself’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Dorfman has relished being at Paris Fashion Week as “myself”.
The ’13 Reasons Why’ star, who came out as transgender in July, has “more of an affinity” with skirts and dresses and has loved trying on new designer pieces at various runway shows in the French capital.
She said: “It’s been such a fun week to be back – as myself. I’m enjoying going to shows I’ve never gone to before, finally getting to explore different houses in Paris, and to try on different things.”
The 29-year-old actress insisted she has never seen fashion as “binary”.
Tommy explained: “I never really saw fashion in binary, it’s just a matter of expression. I think about history and men in tunics, men in skirts, men in dresses and to see that sort of re-translated to today is really exciting. It’s fun to be a part of all those things coming together.”
The ‘Jane the Virgin’ star loved wearing a power suit for Givenchy, as it made her feel “so powerful and beautiful”.
She told WWD: “I really wanted to wear a power suit. I wanted to feel that confidence and Matthew [Williams’] tailoring is so exceptional. I wore a suit of his a couple of weeks ago to an event and I felt so powerful and beautiful at the same time, so when I knew I was coming to the show I wanted to feel the same.”
Tommy always saw herself as a woman, and even knew she’d be a “mother or a grandmother” in the future.
She said recently: “A trans elder asked me what I see myself as when I’m older, when I’m 60, 70, 90. It was so clear, I just saw Cate Blanchett. But I really couldn’t imagine not being a mother or a grandmother.
“My spirit was so attuned to whatever it means to be a woman. I’ve walked in the privilege of a male body, but [being a woman] is all I’ve known on the inside. Trans women would clock me all the time and be like, ‘Hey, girl, what’s up?’ because it’s sort of a thing you recognise.”

Helen Mirren loves the ‘chaos’ of the runway

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Helen Mirren loves the “chaos” of walking in fashion shows.
The 76-year-old actress recently walked in L’Oreal Paris’ runway show at Paris Fashion Week, and she has admitted she loves how “fun” it is being involved in the manic preparations, and seeing it all coming together perfectly when the models “miraculously” walk the catwalk.
She explained: “I’ve done a lot of theatre in my life so the whole idea of walking out to do a show is in my DNA. But what I love about fashion shows is that – unlike theatre where it’s all rehearsed and everyone knows what they’re doing (you hope!) – it’s absolute chaos! I love the technicality of how they put a fashion show together, it’s so fun to watch.
“And I have to say that all the real models are so sweet. They’re relaxed because they do it over and over again, so they’re used to the chaos.
” I watch it all in awe and wonder. Somehow, miraculously, there is a moment where you all line up and go on one after another and it all comes together. It all looks perfect and everyone knows what they’re doing and I never quite get it! But it’s really fun.”
Elsewhere, the ‘Queen’ star admitted she is always smiling these days after years of trying to “suck in” her jaw to try and conceal her “fat cheeks”.
She insisted: “You grow into it, without question. It was a long time ago but I remember the moment – I learned to smile. I always had fat cheeks (and I still do!), so I was always sucking my cheeks in. But you can’t suck your cheeks in and smile at the same time! It’s absolutely impossible. So I guess I never smiled. Then I discovered that, actually, it’s nice to smile openly and with freedom, not a tight little smile, a big one. It certainly has served me in good stead. Normally if you see me in photos, I’m almost always smiling. I don’t do a Victoria Beckham – who I love, incidentally, she’s one of my favourite people – but she’s always got the smoulder on. I’m not so good at that anymore.”
The ‘Good Liar’ star also revealed that she has never paid for her hair to be coloured professionally because it’s “expensive”, so she always DIYs her dye jobs.
On coming to terms with going grey, she told Vogue UK: “I have to say it was very easy for me because my hair was always blonde. I was a natural blonde and although it was quite dark at times, in the summertime when I’d spent time in the sun, it would basically go white. So the process of me losing the colour of my hair was very easy – it just looked more and more as if I had been in the sun, but year-round. I put low lights in it in the past – and I’d like to do it again soon. I’ve always done it myself, I never went to have my hair coloured – I couldn’t be bothered, it’s so boring and expensive. I think it can be more difficult [to go grey] if you have much darker hair, but the women of my age who have made the leap recently look so spectacular.”

Elizabeth Hurley takes bikini self tips from son Damian

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Hurley takes bikini selfie tips from her son Damian.
The 19-year-old actor-and-model encouraged his famous mother to pose in swimwear on social media – despite the chilly weather in England.
Speaking on ‘PeopleTV’, the 56-year-old actress-and-model said: “Well, it was challenging because I didn’t leave the country for anywhere hot. I filmed abroad, but I actually filmed in really cold countries. So all I had was my yard and my house, which is England.
“I didn’t have the beach, I didn’t have the sea, I don’t have any water. We very rarely have the sun.”
Speaking of her son, she said: “He said, mom, ‘Just do it.’ Okay. I’m like, ‘Okay.’ But it’s good. I had him on task, especially during lockdown.”
Meanwhile, the movie star admitted she has no idea where the iconic’safety pin’ Versace dress she wore to the after party of Richard Curtis’ ‘Four Weddings And A Funeral’ in 1994 – which she attended with her then-boyfriend Hugh Grant – is.
Elizabeth said: “I know it’s been in places like the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and it’s been in the V&A Museum here. I think it’s been on a world tour.”
In 2019, Damian recreated the famous red carpet look.
Attending the launch party for Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection The System range at Selfridges in London, Damian wore a pair of black cigarette trousers and a matching black blazer emblazoned with seven oversized gold safety pins.
Despite the dress being one of Elizabeth’s most iconic looks, the ‘Royals’ star previously admitted that the dress was “fished out of a white plastic bag”.
She said: “I urgently needed to find a dress to wear for Hugh [Grant]’s premiere, and in those days I had no idea about fashion.
“I remember going to an office where they literally fished a dress out of a white plastic bag.”

Jennifer Lopez has a bling cup obsession

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez has confessed she has a bling cup obsession.
For her latest promo for her second collection with Coach – which she designed with Creative Director Stuart Vevers – the ‘Waiting For Tonight’ hitmaker interviewed herself and mocked the fact she can’t count how many of the bedazzled accessories she has to go with her outfits.
Speaking to herself in the clip, she says: “Hi Jennifer”, to which she replies: “What’s up, JLo?”
The 52-year-old megastar then asks: “Wrapping this up with a very important, tell-all question … How many bling cups do you actually have?”
And she admits: “Um. .. you don’t want to know.”
Her alter ego then spills: “No, you don’t know. You have so many that you actually do not know. It’s actually kind of crazy and pathetic.”
In a statement about her new collection, Jennifer said: “Coach and I have a lot in common. Mostly we believe in the power of being real — in authenticity.
“This collection is so Coach and so me. It’s wearable and a little bit glamorous — but also sporty. It’s that mix that really excites me. It’s the unedited, unfiltered, raw version of us.”
According to People.com, the ‘In The Morning’ singer designed a red fanny pack – or bum bag in the UK – with a gold chain to match her cups for the latest drop.
Meanwhile, Jennifer previously insisted she would never wear “chunky heels”.
The ‘On The Floor’ singer is very particular with her footwear choices and admitted she will never be caught wearing an army-style boot or robust shoe because she isn’t a fan of “heavy” footwear and prefers more feminine items that “sparkle”.
Speaking about her style preferences, the brunette beauty said: “I’m not a big fan of chunky heels or any shoes that feel and look heavy. I love sleek, refined, and feminine, with a bit of sparkle.”

Rihanna to open physical Savage x Fenty stores in 2022?

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna is reportedly planning to open physical stores for her Savage x Fenty lingerie line across the US next year.
The 33-year-old billionaire businesswoman’s brand’s chief marketing and design officer, Christiane Pendarvis, has said they can “absolutely see some stores in 2022”, for those “customers who don’t feel comfortable purchasing online.”
Business Insider reports that shops in Europe could also be on the cards, though there are no solid plans at this time.
Last month, Rihanna’s third Savage x Fenty runway show hit Amazon Prime Video.
The show came weeks after the ‘Rude Boy’ hitmaker was named a billionaire.
Rihanna is now estimated to be worth $1.7 billion after Forbes reported that she joined the billionaire club thanks to her hugely popular music career as well as her fashion and beauty brands.
Asked by a 247Paps.TV photographer what it means to be a “self-made billionaire”, she simply replied: “God is good.”
The magazine claimed her impressive earnings make her the wealthiest female musician in the world.
And while the Bajan beauty is listed as the wealthiest female musician, it’s her fashion and beauty businesses that make up the largest chunk of her earnings.
The publication claimed around $1.4 billion of Rihanna’s wealth comes from her 50 per cent stake in Fenty Beauty, which she launched in September 2017.
Since first introducing her shade-inclusive make-up brand, Rihanna has expanded into Fenty Skin and a Fenty fragrance.
Another portion of her earnings, around $270 million, is believed to have come from the size-inclusive lingerie line, which the star debuted in 2018.

Alber Elbaz honoured at Love Brings Love fashion show

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Moore and her daughter Scout Willis were among those in attendance at the Love Brings Love fashion show in honour of the late Alber Elbaz.
The acclaimed designer died in Paris, aged 59, from COVID-19 in April, and on Tuesday night (05.10.21), Paris Fashion Week drew to a close with a spectacular showcase in homage to the AZ Factory founder.
The likes of Raf Simons, Jean Paul Gaultier, Rick Owens, and Stella McCartney created one-off looks for the event at Le Carreau Du Temple.
And among the star-studded audience was the 58-year-old ‘Ghost’ star and her 30-year-old actress daughter, who were dressed in Stella McCartney.
It marked AZ Factory’s first-ever Paris Fashion Week show and featured a sustainable fleece material created from organic cotton and seaweed.
The former Lanvin creative director – who launched AZ in 2019 – had worked on the collection prior to his death.
On the role of a fashion designer, Alber said in 2015: “We designers, we started as couturiers, asking: ‘What do women want? What do women need? What can I do for a woman to make her life better and easier? How can I make a woman more beautiful?’”
And this was confirmed to be the case by Hollywood actress Meryl Streep, who once said: “Alber’s dresses for Lanvin are the only ones that when I wear them, I feel like myself, or even a better version of her.”
During his storied career, Alber created red carpet looks of A-listers such as Beyonce, Michelle Obama, and Kim Kardashian West.
Paying tribute to the designer following the sad news of his death, Kim said: “Alber dressed me for my first Vogue cover and gifted me with the cover dress to hold on to that memory forever.”

Dolly Parton has lots of ‘little’ tattoos to hide her scars

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton’s body is covered in “little” tattoos to cover up her scars.
The ‘9 to 5’ hitmaker has a number of small inkings, including butterflies, and has revealed why she has so many.
In a cover interview with W magazine, she said: “Most of my tattoos came because I’m very fair and I have a tendency to scar when I get any kind of cut.
“I’ve had surgeries for different things, and if the scars didn’t heal properly, I just gotta put tattoos to take the sting out.”
On the meaning behind her butterfly body art, she explained: “I just kind of related to them with my own personality. I claimed them as my little symbol.”
The 75-year-old country music legend insisted all of her tattoos are pretty “pastel” colours.
She said: “I don’t have the real heavy, dark tattoos. Mine are all pastel. And I have more than one!”
The ‘Jolene’ singer was previously asked if she has gotten any permanent tributes to her husband, Carl Dean, and gave an adorable response.
She replied: “No, he’s tattooed on my heart.
“Who knows, I may get some more later. I may just have to get covered with tattoos just so everybody could be right!”
Meanwhile, Dolly recently revealed she wants to launch her own wig line.
The musician is known for her love of hairpieces and she’d like to bring out her own range of fake locks, as well as other hair products.

“My aunt Colleen Owens, who was my hairdresser at the time, came up with that look.
“Eventually I’d like to have my own line of wigs, hairpieces, and hair products.”
Dolly recently released her debut fragrance, Scent From Above, and chose to move into the perfume market because people are always keen to smell like her.
She said: “I always wanted to do perfume. I love beautiful scents. People follow me down the hall to ask me what scent I’m wearing. Also, Cher has her own fragrance, and so did Elizabeth Taylor!”

Ellen DeGeneres branching out into skincare

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellen DeGeneres has announced a skincare line called Kind Science.
The 63-year-old television host is branching out into the beauty market after announcing her eponymous entertainment show will go off air in 2022 after 19 seasons.
She said on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ this week: “There’s something that I’m very excited about. I have been working on this for three years and I’m excited to share it with you today.”
Although the products are yet to be unveiled, Ellen described the line as “age-positive skincare that actually works.”
Kind Science launches on October 26 and is both cruelty-free and planet-friendly.
She explained: “We call it Kind Science because it is kind to animals, it is kind to your skin, it’s kind to the planet, and it’s kind to your wallet. So it’s all kind.”
Ellen recently insisted she “never thought” her talk show would last for 19 years.
She said: “I think I gave the advice on day one. I mean, I wanted to make a show that was really fun for everybody and an escape for an hour a day. Whatever was going on in the world, I wanted this to be a happy place. I wanted everyone here to have fun working here and I wanted to not take it for granted, to enjoy [it].
“But if you would have told me that in 19 years that I would be doing this 19 years later, I never thought it would last this long.
“I thought it would do well, but, you know, talk shows don’t last that long usually. So I’m, you know, beyond blessed and grateful for it going this long.”
Ellen announced in May this year that her show would be coming to an end, and admitted she was actually planning to quit after 16 seasons.
She said at the time: “I was going to stop after season 16. That was going to be my last season, and they wanted to sign for four more years and I said I’d sign may be for one. They were saying there was no way to sign for one. ‘We can’t do that with the affiliates and the stations need more of a commitment.’ So, we [settled] on three more years, and I knew that would be my last.
“That’s been the plan all along. And everybody kept saying, even when I signed, ‘You know, that’s going to be 19, don’t you want to just go to 20? It’s a good number.’ So is 19.”

Ryan Gosling lands new role as ambassador for Tag Heuer

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling has been named a brand ambassador for Swiss watchmakers Tag Heuer.
The Hollywood actor – who is known for his immaculate style and penchant for a suave suit – has landed a new role with the luxury timepiece company, and revealed his style has always been inspired by the aesthetic of watches.
The ‘La La Land’ star explained: “For a long time, I was just responding to the aesthetic design [of watches].
“It’s when I started working that I started thinking about watches in a way I never had before … I tried to use them to communicate something that may not be obvious or in the script.”
For the campaign, photographer Pari Dukovic explained how the 40-year-old star wanted to pay homage to his 2011 flick ‘Drive’ and was very much involved in the creative process.
The ‘First Man’ star also admitted that he “felt like life began” when he got his first watch, which was a Hulk-themed Casio.
He told WWD: “Nothing said ‘grown man with important things to do’ like a watch. I felt like life began by getting a watch. It’s one of the first things I bought with my own money — if I’m honest, it was a digital Casio with a Hulk logo on it.”
Gosling’s first campaign is for the Tag Heuer Carrera Three Hands collection, a new generation of the iconic three-hand watch.
He said in a statement: “I appreciate its timeless design. I like clean and simple design generally. Growing up, we lived on a pretty tight budget. I gravitated towards things that were simple and timeless so I didn’t have to think about keeping up with trends.”

Precious Lee: Fashion is set for ‘more pivotal changes’

OHMYGOSSIP — Precious Lee predicts that the fashion industry is set to see “more pivotal changes”.
The 31-year-old curve model has insisted the fashion houses that “embrace” what is “aligned” with their customers, and hold “accountable abusive, suppressive, or oppressive” behaviour will “thrive”.
She told W magazine: “We are going to see more pivotal changes in the industry because people have a sense of fire now.
“The fashion industry is going to have to continue to be accountable, and interactive with the consumer.
“People are standing up for themselves and saying no to what is abusive, suppressive, or oppressive, and things that are not aligned with who we are.
“Because of that, I don’t think that falling back into the same patterns is possible.
“It’s a whole new world, and the ones who are going to thrive are those who are going to embrace that authentically, not performatively.”
Meanwhile, the catwalk beauty – who has walked the runway for the likes of Versace and Michael Kors – revealed her biggest style inspirations are her parents, who she always consults for outfit advice before attending major events.
Precious laughed about the fact she used to be embarrassed by her dad wearing his Versace shirt unbuttoned, as she now “can’t be without cleavage, a red lip, animal print, and Versace.”
She said: “My parents. Anytime we go anywhere, you’re guaranteed to hear people come up to them to tell them how amazing they look. My dad walks around, and people are like, ‘Whoa! Love that hat, those boots, that belt.’ With my mom, it’s, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so beautiful. Where did you get that?’
When I was a kid, I cried when my mom wore animal print or red lipstick. I cried when my dad would wear his Versace button-down open, with his gold chains and his chest hair. I would climb up and try to button his shirt, like, No, I hate it! Now, you cannot find me without cleavage, not in a red lip, animal print, and Versace. It’s hilarious.”
She added: “When I get dressed for a big event, I’ll call. ‘Dad, what do you think of this?’ Or I’ll call my mom. We’re so collaborative. I trust their opinions because they never want to look like anyone else in the world, and I don’t, either.”
