OHMYGOSSIP — Courteney Cox has created a line of cleaning products inspired by cosmetics.
The 57-year-old actress – who is known for playing neat freak Monica Geller in sitcom ‘Friends’ – launched brand Homecourt this week, which features products usually made for domestic use but produced with skin care ingredients and fine fragrances.
She said: “We decided to make a beauty line for the home. I’m obsessed with design and my home, and I wanted the home to smell like something that I’d want to wear.”
The ‘Scream’ star went on to quip that she was inspired to create the brand after spending so much time at home cleaning during lockdown and grew so used to the smell of traditional cleaning products.
Speaking to the WWD, she said: “During the pandemic, we were so used to the smell of Clorox, but then you’re like, ‘OK, we’re still at home,’ and I didn’t want my house to smell like that anymore!”
Courtney collaborated with Nécessaire cofounder Nick Axelrod-Welk to create Homecourt, as well as perfumery Givaduan and Robertet who she says did a “really great job recreating her personal scent.”
She said: “I use two oils and one perfume and I mix it together. We have an incredible perfumery, Givaudan and Robertet. They did a great job recreating my personal scent.”
Homecourt initially launches with hand wash, dish soap and surface cleaner and is set to debut a hand lotion in February, with a candle and room deodorant following in March 2022.

Righteous Gemstones: Adam DeVine on his character’s ‘out of control’ fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam DeVine thinks his ‘Righteous Gemstones’ character has a fashion sense which is “out of control.”
The 38-year-old actor – who plays Kelvin in the HBO series which follows a famous yet dysfunctional family of televangelists – described his own sense of style as “normal” and often wonders if his character’s wardrobe is “too much.”
He said: “His style is out of control. Sarah Trost is our costume designer, and she does an amazing job. She pushes me. I dress in t-shirts and polos, and just normal stuff. I don’t take many huge swings when it comes to my fashions. With Kelvin, that’s all he takes. He’s trying to hit a grand slam, every time he walks out the door. I’m like, ‘I don’t know. Is this too much?’ And [Sarah] is like, ‘It absolutely isn’t!'”
The ‘Pitch Perfect’ star then went on to explain that when it comes to Kelvin – who is the youngest member of the Gemstone dynasty – it is “really fun” to play a character who is “insane” regarding his sense of style.
He told Collider: “He’s a guy who has so much money that maybe he does buy a leopard print beret and wear that around and act like an Army man for the day. It’s really fun to play a character that is that insane, when it comes to his fashion choices.”
Season two of ‘The Righteous Gemstones’ – which also stars John Goodman and Edi Patterson – started airing on HBO at the beginning of 2022 and the show has already been renewed for a third season, although no specific details regarding dates have been released.
Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO programming said in a statement: “After a season of literal fire and brimstone, blood, sand, and rollerblading, who wouldn’t come back for more? The Gemstone family make us laugh like nobody else!”

Anna Wintour pays tribute to Andre Leon Talley and their ‘complicated’ relationship

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Anna Wintour acknowledged her “complicated” relationship with the late Andre Leon Talley in her tribute to him.
The long serving editor-in-chief of Vogue – a position she has held since 1988 – issued a statement honouring the magazine’s former creative director following his death aged 73 on 18 January, but she also admitted to having frosty moments with the fashion icon.
In a statement shared on the fashion bible’s website, the 72-year-old star said: “Like many decades-long relationships, there were complicated moments, but all I want to remember today, all I care about, is the brilliant and compassionate man who was a generous and loving friend to me and to my family for many, many years, and who we will all miss so much.”
Andre – who boasted many roles such as the Paris Bureau Chief of Women’s Wear Daily, fashion editor at Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine, long-time trusted confidant of Karl Lagerfeld and apprentice to Diana Vreeland – gave his side of the rift between him and the former ‘House and Garden’ editor-in-chief in his 2020 memoir ‘The Chiffon Trenches’.
He branded her “ruthless” and unable of “simple human kindness” after cutting him – allegedly without telling him – from his legendary interview gig on the steps of the Met Gala and replacing him with a YouTube star, Liza Koshy.
He also claimed his role was cut for being too “old, overweight, uncool.”
However, a source told Page Six that the Conde Nast executive and the former ‘America’s Next Top Model’ judge made amends before his recent passing.
They said: “I do know they did make up, that their relationship was repaired recently — after everything that happened.”
In her statement, Anna added: “The loss of Andre is felt by so many of us today: the designers he enthusiastically cheered on every season, and who loved him for it; the generations he inspired to work in the industry, seeing a figure who broke boundaries while never forgetting where he started from; those who knew fashion, and Vogue, simply because of him; and, not forgetting, the multitude of colleagues over the years who were consistently buoyed by every new discovery of Andre’s, which he would discuss loudly, and volubly — no one could make people more excited about the most seemingly insignificant fashion details than him.”

The former US Vogue editor-at-large passed away on Tuesday (18.01.22) at White Plains Hospital, TMZ reports.
A cause of death is not known at this time.
The influential fashion journalist and stylist was known for his larger-than-life personality and loud personal style.
Following stints at Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine and Women’s Wear Daily, Andre quickly worked his way up the ranks at fashion bible Vogue, going from fashion news director from 1983 to 1987, to the first African-American creative director from 1988 to 1995.
Andre was appointed the role by Vogue icon Anna Wintour.
In 2020, he released his memoir, ‘The Chiffon Trenches’, in which he told tales about famous fashion figures, including Anna, 72, and the late Karl Lagerfeld, the latter of whom he claimed “could have decimated my reputation in fashion.”
Anna and Andre fell out in 2018 when she replaced him with a YouTube star for the red carpet interviews at the Met Gala and he was still hurt about the snub years later.
He said: “If Anna had called and said, ‘André, we’re thinking of going in a different direction [for the Met ball], it’s important for our brand,’ I would have said, ‘Fine. That’s great.’ And I’d have come in my Tom Ford cape – I always wear Tom Ford – and enjoyed my dinner.
“It felt like I was just thrown under the bus. It hurt!”
Designer Diane von Furstenberg was among those to pay tribute to Andre.
She wrote: “Good bye darling André.

Ella Balinska always takes her make-up off after a night out

OHMYGOSSIP — Ella Balinska always takes her make-up off after a night out.
The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star – who is the daughter of model-turned-chef Lorraine Pascale, 49 – makes her pals commit to “washing [their] faces”, no matter how late they get home because she knows it is important to look after her skin.
She said: : “I always say to my friends: “No matter how late we get back, ladies, we are washing our faces.” I’ll use the Softening Cleansing Foam (£50/$75) from Clé de Peau Beauté , and then I will use the Intensive Fortifying Cream (£110/$160). I don’t use a lot, as I like my skin to breathe when I sleep, but I will use a bit before bed and I’ll wake up feeling fresh.”
The ‘Resident Evil’ star revealed her “approach” to beauty is very “routine-based” while sharing her love of Clé de Peau Beauté in the AM as in the PM.
Ella told Vogue.com: “My approach is very routine-based. I love doing my morning routine because it really gives me that sense of accomplishment. The first accomplishment of the day is a shower, and the next is my morning routine. I recently incorporated the Serum (£215/$295) and La Crème (£520/$550) from Clé de Peau Beauté into my routine. I’ve also got my vitamin C and my hyaluronic acid. It makes me feel very fresh.”
‘The Occupant’ star admitted to using make-up to find her “alter ego” – with a particular love for “bold eyeshadow” – but emphasised the importance of a good foundation.
She said: “Everyone has an alter ego. I love being able to play around with my alter ego when it comes to make-up. I love bold eyeshadows in particular. But the key is my foundation. One thing I learned recently is that everyone thinks that they only have one colour, but actually, the skin on your face shifts and changes. To structure your face in a way that looks great you don’t want to do one wash; you need darker colours around the outside, and [to] highlight with a lighter foundation everywhere else. It’s about putting different colours in different areas and blending it together. There’s something very poetic about make-up, the way that you can just make art on your face.”

The former Disney Channel star gave insight into how she learnt to embrace and love her youthful looks after being told she “looked about 15” her entire adult life.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley says being a mum has caused her simplify her beauty routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley thinks motherhood has made her reconsider her beauty priorities.
The 34-year-old supermodel – who is pregnant with her and fiance Jason Statham’s second child, a sibling for four-year-old Jack – admitted she is more “time-poor” because of the needs of her son so doesn’t have the chance to try out new products anymore and often has to sacrifice either her hair or her make-up.
She told Britain’s Vogue magazine: “When you become a parent, you become time-poor. You don’t have that time for yourself, or that ability to just go off and lock yourself in your bathroom in the middle of the day and play around with products. I certainly remember having a lot of that prior to my son being born.
“Oftentimes, I’ll have to decide: it’s 9am and I can do hair or make-up, which one is it going to be today? Usually it’s make-up because I can just throw my hair up.”
The Victoria’s Secret model also attributed becoming a mother to seeing the world in a different way and rethinking the notion of beauty.
Rosie said: “And then on an emotional level, I think you just start to see the world through your children’s eyes. You start to think about what you want to instil in them. And you think about what their impression of beauty will be, and of me as they get older. I grew up in a household where we weren’t self conscious, we were not aware of the way we looked.
“I don’t want to place a big importance on beauty and looks. But at the same time, it’s a big part of my work. It’s an interesting one that I think will continue to evolve and will be important to keep check of as I have more children.”
Rosie reflected on her first impressions of beauty – given to her by watching her mother get dolled up while growing up in the English county of Devon – and how it evolved as she entered the fashion industry.
She said: “I grew up in the countryside, on a very rustic farm in Devon, in a family where it was important to bring different things to the table; a good sense of humour and a sense of enthusiasm.
“The idea of beauty just wasn’t synonymous with that kind of lifestyle. I think my earliest beauty memories are of watching my mother get ready in the evenings. To me, she was the most glamorous person I’d ever laid eyes on. She would allow me to come and sit on the edge of her bed and watch her get ready.
“I think the thing that always struck me was the transformative nature of beauty, seeing her go from looking very rural on the farm to rolling on that lipstick, doing her hair and putting on a lovely outfit and seeing how it changed her demeanour and her confidence.
“Then I started working as a model at the age of 16, where hair and make-up are at the core of everything you do. That’s when my love began to evolve, again recognising that transformative nature of beauty, whether it was becoming a character in an editorial, or selling a certain sort of image. That was almost 20 years ago.”
