Angelina Jolie liked being soft and girly

Angelina Jolie jumped at the chance to star in her new movie The Tourist – because it gave her the chance to be a real girly girl for once.

The actress — who raises six kids with partner Brad Pitt – says acting alongside Johnny Depp was only part of the reason she signed up for the flop film.

“I love that my character is so female, soft and girly,” says Angelina. “That’s something I haven’t really got to do on screen before. I thought it would be a challenge and it was. I’m used to playing much harder women.”

Jolie recently admitted she is amazed at how well she copes having such limited time alone as she has always preferred her own company.

“You try to take a bath alone and everybody comes in,” she said.

“You just give it up. I’ve shocked myself because I’m somebody that likes to be on my own. But I’m surprised how much I’m very happy to be surrounded by everybody in my family.

“It’s alright. I feel that comfort.”
