Jillian Michaels to leave The Biggest Loser and planning to start a family
Jillian Michaels is quitting The Biggest Loser so she can focus on starting a family. The tough-talking trainer and fitness guru took to her Twitter account Friday to announce that she is leaving the NBC reality competition that made her famous.
“Season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last have to finish out my contract,” she wrote
“I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work.”
Michaels launched her own weight-loss show over the summer, Losing It – which also inspired her, she said.
“Shooting Losing It also had big impact on me,” she said of the series, in which she helped kids slim down.
“Living with kids, I saw firsthand what I was missing.”
As for Michaels’ replacement on The Biggest Loser? “They already hired her,” she told a Twitter follower. “Using my last season to help launch her in season 11.”
