Anne Hathaway thinks she can be “too trusting.” The 27-year-old actress — whose former boyfriend Raffaello Follieri was sentenced to four and a half years in prison in 2008 after pleading guilty to cheating investors out of millions of dollars — spoke about her struggle in the aftermath of their split following the fraud investigation.

“It takes a minute for me to let my guard down, but once I do and I get to know someone, I’m very open, very trusting. Some might say too trusting,” she said.

Although jewelery given to the Devil Wears Prada actress by her ex-boyfriend was auctioned off by U.S. authorities in June, she can now joke about her ordeal.

When asked to name her “deal-breakers” with men, she replied, “Uh … fraud?”

The brunette beauty revealed filming her new movie Love and Other Drugs with Jake Gyllenhaal proved therapeutic as it helped her to confront her feelings.

“I was a wreck from start to finish. I think I cried every single day,” she said.
