Alec Baldwin heading to Broadway
Alec Baldwin is heading to Broadway! The 30 Rock actor has signed up to star in the revival of the Garson Kanin play Born Yesterday, according to the New York Post.
Baldwin led a reading of the play last Monday — and will reportedly play corrupt businessman Harry Brock.
Josh Charles was also part of the reading.
Doug Hughes will direct the play, which is expected to open next year.
Baldwin recently claimed he’s planning to quit Hollywood.
“As much as I like acting, I know that I would love to have a different life, a private life. I think doing this now for a living has become really hard. It’s really hard,” he told CNN in July.
“I would rather go do other things and have whatever amount of time I have left in my life, have more of a normal life… I want to find out if it’s possible. How close can I get.”
