OHMYGOSSIP — Kaia Gerber has thanked Alexander Wang for believing in her.
The 16-year-old model – who is the daughter of Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber – opened the 33-year-old fashion designer’s fashion show during this year’s New York Fashion Show over the weekend, and has taken to social media to hail the creative mastermind as the “first person” to support her and have faith in her modelling ability, and to thank him for casting her in his show.
The brunette beauty shared an image of her during the showcase, which saw her adorn an ivory-coloured shift dress with embellished belt detail on the side of the waist, to her Instagram account.
She captioned the post: “opening @alexanderwangnylast night. Alex was one of the first people to believe in me. your support means everything @alexwangny I LOVE YOU and cannot tell you how grateful I am #wangfest (sic).”
The mogul took to social media to reveal the goings on prior to his showcase, and revealed his guests were treated to Dunkin Doughnuts, Budweiser beers, as well as a feast from Shake Shack.
A string of images of onlookers tucking into the tasty treats available to them at the event, which included a photograph of Kris Jenner picking up a Shake Shack burger, have been shared on Alexander Wang’s photo-sharing site.

Kaia was joined on the Alexander Wang runway by Bella Hadid and Joan Smalls, who were both honoured to represent the prestigious fashion house.
Bella, 20, uploaded a picture of her strutting along the runway on her social media page, which she captioned: “AW @alexanderwangny I love you so very much.. what an experience..You are a STAR!!!!!!!! And Thank you forever and ever @pg_dmcasting@samuel_ellis You make me happy (sic).”
Joan, 29, also gushed about the moment she modelled in Alexander’s exhibition and has credited it as “one of the most exhilarating moments” she has ever experienced.
She wrote: “One of the most exhilarating moments to do what I love and share it with NYC. Thanks to everyone who came out and the coolest team @alexanderwangny (sic).”
