OHMYGOSSIP — AJ Odudu has quit ‘Married At First Sight’ after being named as the new co-host of ‘Big Brother’.
The 35-year-old TV star feels “sad” that she’s not able to front the Channel 4 reality show – but AJ suggested that she’d be open to returning to the programme at some stage in the future.
She told the Sun newspaper: “I can’t do it this year – I’m so sad about it. I love ‘Married at First Sight’.
“I’d love to host it again, I’m obsessed with that show but I don’t know when that will happen.”
AJ was recently named as the new co-host of ‘Big Brother’ alongside Will Best, and she’s been wowed by the public’s reaction to the announcement.
She said: “Everyone has been so complimentary about ‘Big Brother’ – I’m just enjoying it.”
AJ is thrilled to be hosting ‘Big Brother’ and she’s told fans to expect something spectacular.
She said: “This is not a drill! I’m beyond excited to finally be able to say that, I am hosting ‘Big Brother’!
“I couldn’t be more ecstatic to front such an iconic show and to do it alongside my amazing friend Will Best is the icing on the cake. Get ready to be obsessed!”
AJ was first linked to the job in 2022 and the presenter “jumped at the opportunity”.
A source told The Sun newspaper at the time: “AJ has been offered the ‘Big Brother’ job and jumped at the opportunity. It’s a huge boost to her career.
“AJ and ITV are still ironing out details in her contract but she has told a lot of people the job is hers.”
