OHMYGOSSIP — Claudia Winkleman has signed up to host a second series of ‘The Traitors’.
The 51-year-old TV presenter will once again present the psychological adventure competition for the BBC, which was a huge hit during its first season.
A source told The Mirror: “These days almost every new series is a reboot of something that’s gone before.
“So it’s really nice to try something fresh – and for it to do well. The Traitors got everyone talking, so bringing it back was a no-brainer. Claudia was perfect.”
And, it was previously revealed that executive producers Sarah Fay and Toni Ireland are considering a celebrity version.
They told Metro.co.uk: “I think we’d want people who are so invested in the game and want to play the game, and I think that’s what brings the drama so well.
“I’d love to see Rylan [Clark], he’d be incredible, but also Kathy Burke is a fan. I mean Russell T Davies is a fan. I think I’d want very much a mixture of different types of celebs as well.”
Toni added: “To see Kathy Burke calling someone out at the roundtable could be pretty good.”
Claudia is also keen for a celebrity version and has some ideas of her own for the perfect contestants.
She said: “Victoria Coren, Kirsty Young, Adam Woodyatt, Stephen Fry, AlisonHammond… let’s do it!”
