OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Kay has announced extra dates for his comeback tour.
The 49-year-old stand-up comedian has been overwhelmed by the public’s reaction to his much-anticipated comeback, and he’s now announced a series of additional tour dates.
He told BBC Radio 2: “First of all, I want to say thanks to everyone who’s bought tickets to my tour, and I really do appreciate it.
“We’ve finally managed to book some more extra dates.”
The extra tour dates include shows in Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and Glasgow, as well as a 28th night at The O2 in London.
The popular comedian has confirmed that tickets for the new tour dates will go on sale on Sunday (11.12.22) at 10am.
The ‘Peter Kay Live Tour’ is his first tour since 2010, when he performed to a total of 1.2 million people.
He previously said: “It’s good to get back to what I love doing best, stand-up comedy, and if there’s ever a time people need a laugh it’s now.
“And with the cost of living at an all-time high, ticket prices are starting from £35 – the same price they were on my previous tour in 2010.”
Peter previously cancelled a planned tour in 2018 due to “unforeseen family circumstances”.
The ‘Phoenix Nights’ star also apologised to his fans for the cancellation.
He said at the time: “Due to unforeseen family circumstances, I deeply regret that I am having to cancel all of my upcoming work projects.
“This unfortunately includes my upcoming stand-up tour, ‘Dance for Life’ shows and any outstanding live work commitments.
“My sincerest apologies. This decision has not been taken lightly and I’m sure you’ll understand my family must always come first.”
