OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Laing has created a line of sweets to benefit refugees and asylum seekers.
The ex ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has teamed up with CHOOSE LOVE – a charity fundraising for migrants seeking refuge from war, conflict and persecution in more than 25 countries – to create Wild Strawberry, a limited edition flavour of his Candy Kittens range to aid the fund as part of his push to make “positive social changes”.
The 34-year-old television personality said: “We have always been an environmentally conscious brand, but making positive social changes is really important to us as well. CHOOSE LOVE has been pioneering in their field for years and we support everything they stand for – I’m delighted we can partner with them and help shine a light on a very important cause. The limited-edition product is just the start of how we will be supporting the charity, but we hope our customers love the new design as much as we do to help raise as much money as possible for a great cause.”
In addition to the collaboration, Jamie interviewed Taban Shoresh, the founder of the White Lotus, a non-profit seeking to provide safety to those fleeing war zones and survivor of Saddam Hussein’s regime at their Carnaby Street pop up for his ‘Private Parts’ podcast.
Josie Naughton’s CHOOSE LOVE’S founder added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Candy Kittens who are fundraising for us in the most delicious way this winter. In order to continue to support refugees and displaced people all over the world, we rely on support from individuals and brands who share our values and want to help make our work possible. Candy Kittens do so much in the environmental and social space and we are so grateful to have their support at this time of year, when the assistance we provide is more needed than ever.”
