OHMYGOSSIP — Neil Patrick Harris got final approval of a “d*** pic” used in his new show ‘Uncoupled’.
The ‘How I Met Your Mother’ actor, 49, plays a New York City estate agent in the Netflix show, whose life is turned upside down after his boyfriend abruptly walks out on him after 17 years.
When his character Michael Lawson gets back to dating he is seen becoming acquainted with gay apps such as Grindr and the concept of sending “d*** pics”.
Neil told Page Six on Tuesday night (28.07.22) about being deeply involved in the intimate portrait shown on the series, which starts 29 July: “Not only did I get approval, I was asked to choose said d***, which is harder than you think – no pun intended.”
He was also asked to OK a :flaccid latex phallus that was left in my dressing room,” which he said did not meet his approval.
Neil added: “It was not OK because I’m more proud of Michael’s member than something that is mass-produced, that you can purchase online.
“So we started looking through photos of people who have taken pics of their dongs in locker rooms.
“And you had to find the right angle and girth and manscapery. And I think we found the right mix. I’m proud of what I’m packing downstairs.”
It comes as Neil, married to David Burtka, 47, is reportedly set to take on the role of nostalgic villain The Toymaker during his guest-starring role in the ‘Doctor Who’ 60th anniversary special.
He is set to play what showrunner Russell T Davies has promised will be the “greatest enemy the Doctor has ever faced”.
Rumours of the Toymaker character, who last appeared on the sci-fi series in 1966, making a comeback were prompted after a shop with the name Mr Emporium was spotted on its Bristol set.
