Britain’s Got Talent feels like a new show, says Simon Cowell
OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell thinks ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ still feels like a “new” show.
The 62-year-old music mogul admits that the ITV programme was in danger of going stale at one point in time, but he actually thinks the new series is the best one yet.
Simon – who stars on the show alongside Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon – shared: “It felt almost like the very first year we made the show.
“It felt new again, rather than a routine, because it had started to fall a little bit into that. It’s a great show, it’s fun and it makes you feel good.”
Simon is now nearing retiring age – but for the time being, he doesn’t have any plans to slow down.
He told The Sun newspaper: “As long as you’re fit, your brain is still good, it’s not boring and you’ve still got good ideas, why retire? If I am going to drop dead, I’d like to do it on stage.”
Simon has enjoyed a huge amount of success in the TV and music industries during his career.
However, during his school days, Simon was told by teachers that he’d never amount of anything.
He previously shared: “I was so awful in school. All my teachers said to me I’ll be terrible when I go to work.”
Meanwhile, Simon has recently turned his attention towards making children’s animations.
Speaking about his new ambitions, he explained: “I would love to make an animated movie. It’s the one thing I have never done and I’d love to do … but I think it’s a brilliant idea.
“And I do think it will work because when I watch those ‘Sing’ movies, as much as I love them, I feel sick.
“Because it’s like, ‘God, I wish I made those.'”
