OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Imbruglia has won ‘The Masked Singer’.
The 47-year-old star – who sang Taylor Swift’s hit ‘Blank Space’ and One Direction’s ‘Story of My Life’ – saw off competition from Mushroom and Robobunny to claim victory in the final of the ITV show.
Speaking after being unmasked, Natalie said: “I just loved being Panda! I stayed in an American accent the whole time to hide it!
“I really thought Rita [Ora] and Davina [McCall] would guess as they know me! I got to make friends with a Mushroom and Robobunny. It’s just been great.”
Before she was unmasked, the judges speculated that Panda might have been ‘High School Musical’ star Vanessa Hudgens.
Earlier in the show, Mushroom was unmasked as Charlotte Church.
The 35-year-old singer subsequently took to social media to discuss her time on ‘The Masked Singer’, admitting she “loved” competing in the series.
Charlotte wrote on Twitter: “I absolutely loved being your Mushroom, what a joy to be a part of something so focused on singing, which I love! Congrats to the darling Panda and everyone else who took part! [mushroom emojis] (sic)”
Meanwhile, Westlife’s Mark Feehily was unmasked as Robobunny.
The ‘Swear It Again’ hitmaker – who finished third in the final – admitted that his time on the show had been a “challenge”. However, he also claimed that it’s given him new confidence.
The series finale saw the return of contestants from the first two series, including Joss Stone, who won the ‘Masked Singer’ crown in 2021.
Joss, 34, actually joined the usual judging panel – which includes Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan, Rita Ora and Davina McCall – for the final, and they were shocked when Natalie revealed her identity to the audience.
