OHMYGOSSIP — Molly-Mae Hague has emotionally addressed the burglary at her and Tommy Fury’s flat, admitting it was the “worst thing” that’s ever happened to her.
The ‘Love Island’ stars were left “extremely shaken up” when an estimated £800,000 worth of belongings were taken in the raid on their Manchester property last month, and a tearful Molly described the theft as “horrendous”.
Discussing the incident in a YouTube video, Molly said: “Tommy and I were actually robbed. It was without doubt the worst thing that’s ever happened to me – to us I’d probably say – and it was just awful, horrendous, terrible. So we’ve been dealing with a lot.
“Our apartment was robbed, ransacked, emptied, you name it. What they said in the articles was true, they took everything. We were left with not a lot of stuff at all.”
Molly – who has since moved out of the flat with her boyfriend Tommy – explained that she had felt a sense of guilt after the burglary as she feels partly responsible for sharing her life on social media.
The 22-year-old star said: “I’ve been dealing with emotions I didn’t think I’d be dealing with at a time like this, like feeling guilt. I never thought if I was ever to be robbed I’d be feeling guilty.
“But I think seeing a lot of the things on social media and seeing a lot of people’s opinions about why we got robbed I started to think, ‘God was this my fault? Did I share too much? Did I do the wrong thing?’ ”
Molly also revealed that she would be sharing less about her and Tommy’s lives with her followers.
She explained: “I share every aspect of my life with you, the things I buy, where I live, what I do with my boyfriend, where I’m going, it’s really hard to find that balance of sharing – so that you guys want to keep up with my life and see what I’m doing – but then also keeping my life private so that I stay safe.
“I think I potentially lost that balance.”
Molly vowed that the “evil” criminals will pay for the burglary.
She said: “Karma will come for the people that did it. It’s evil.”
