OHMYGOSSIP — Charity Kase has become the last queen to be eliminated from ‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK’.
The 24-year-old drag queen survived up until week five of the BBC competition, in which she was booted off after failing to impress the judges.
Judge Michelle Visage said: “Yesterday, you went in there, the girls listened to you and you got it done – and I think that you looked beautiful.
“But that brings me to tonight on the runway … what you do is unbelievable. I am not trying to change who you are, but I am trying to broaden your horizons. Imagine if you had done this look with beautiful make-up. Not that this is bad … this is amazing. But show us the other side of Charity Kase. Get you a queen that can do both.”
Charity is the fourth queen to be eliminated after landing in the bottom two last week, but she was saved when Ru decided against any eliminations.
On her exit from the show, Charity said: “Thank you for the opportunity, for the stage, and for showing my drag to the world. I wish you a wonderful season.
“I’m really proud to be representing alternative drag and I’m happy with everything I’ve done here. I hope there’s somebody out there who sees themselves in me and can be inspired by what I have brought to the show.”
The drag artist went on to name meeting pop band Steps as one of the highlights of her journey when they appeared on the show earlier in the series.
She said: “It wasn’t what I expected! It was a rollercoaster of emotions.
“Meeting Steps was incredible! Recording with them was even better … but I wish I’d done better in the sewing challenge. But it’s all been a learning experience! And overall a very incredible and fabulous one.”
In terms of future plans, Charity hopes to break into the world of TV, but also would like to concentrate on design.
She said: “In the future, I’d love to do more with costume and make-up design for film and TV. And I’m putting a lot more time into my online shop where I sell custom hand-painted clothes and limited edition t-shirts, which I design myself.
“But as ever, with Charity Kase – expect the unexpected!”
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK lands on BBC Three from 7pm every Thursday, exclusively available on BBC iPlayer.
