OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Anderson has joined ‘Hollyoaks’.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star – who played Alicia Metclafe in the ITV soap from 2010 to 2015 – will make her debut as new character Lexi on October 28th on E4, and again on Channel 4 on October 29.
She said: “I’m so thrilled to be playing Lexi.
“She’s such a strong and intriguing character with lots of layers, that I’m thoroughly enjoying playing with.”
A mystery surrounding Lexi will begin next week when Grace Black (Tamara Wall) overhears her new lover Nate Denby (Chris Charles) talking to her on the phone.
He later acts secretive about her, and Grace fears she is being cheated on, but the truth will later be revealed.
Natalie admits she has been enjoying working with Chris on the plot, and has had a lovely welcome on the soap.
She said: “I’ve loved working with Chris Charles and exploring the dynamic between Lexi and Nate’s relationship as the storyline unfolds … I’m having so much fun, and everyone at Hollyoaks have been so lovely and welcoming.”
In August, Natalie admitted her anxiety has been “horrible to live with at times”.
She said: “I always put a smile on and tried to be the happy-go-lucky kind of girl, but deep down, it has been horrible to live with at times.
“No one really spoke about anxiety or depression or mental health issues, but this last decade has changed that so much.”
But Natalie has found going to the gym helps.
She added: “It helps me switch off from everything else and I find it really vital.”
