OHMYGOSSIP — Ore Oduba lost consciousness for 30 seconds on ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The 35-year-old TV presenter – who won ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2016 – has revealed he was dragged from a river during filming for the Channel 4 show.
He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “They pulled me out and got me in the Jeep.
“The guys told me I was unresponsive for about 30 seconds.”
Despite this, Ore knew what he was taking on when he joined the show.
The presenter revealed that he watched every single episode of ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ before appearing on the programme.
He said: “We had to go into quarantine for a week beforehand because of COVID so I watched every single episode, both celeb and civilian.
“I wanted to know everything and took notes! You’re watching very differently when you know that you’re going into that hell!
“You literally are walking into the lions den. I wanted to be as prepared as I could be.”
Ore previously spoke about the “struggle” of returning home to his wife Portia and their three-year-old son Roman after filming when he’d been “battered physically and mentally”.
He explained: “Coming home was a real struggle because you spent so much time being battered physically and mentally, I came back with scars on my hands, my arms and my face.”
Ore explained that the worst part was when Roman – who was just two at the time of filming – saw his bandaged hands and asked if he was “OK”, which caused Ode to break down in tears.
He shared: “I remember my son coming to the front door, he comes running over and it was a lovely moment.
“He was two at the time … and he saw my cut and bandaged up and he said, ‘Dad are you OK?’
“I broke down, I completely broke down. You put that stuff away, to carry on and do that stuff every day you can’t think about how your body is or yourself.”
