OHMYGOSSIP — Ore Oduba watched every single episode of ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ before appearing on the show.
The 35-year-old presenter – who stars in the current celebrity series of the Channel 4 programme – decided to make the most of his week of mandatory pre-show quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ensured he was “as prepared” as possible once filming commenced.
He said: “We had to go into quarantine for a week beforehand because of COVID so I watched every single episode, both celeb and civilian.
“I wanted to know everything and took notes! You’re watching very differently when you know that you’re going into that hell!
“You literally are walking into the lions den. I wanted to be as prepared as I could be.”
Earlier this week Ore – who won the 2016 series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – spoke about the “struggle” of returning home to wife Portia and three-year-old son Roman after filming when he’d “being battered physically and mentally”.
He explained: “Coming home was a real struggle because you spent so much time being battered physically and mentally, I came back with scars on my hands, my arms and my face.”
And he said the worst part was when Roman, who was just two at the time of filming, saw his bandaged hands and asked if he was “OK”, which caused Ode to break down in tears.
He added: “I remember my son coming to the front door, he comes running over and it was a lovely moment.
“He was two at the time, Christine, and he saw my cut and bandaged up and he said, “Dad are you ok?”
“I broke down, I completely broke down. You put that stuff away, to carry on and do that stuff every day you can’t think about how your body is or yourself.”
‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ continues on Channel 4 on Sunday (05.09.21) at 9pm.
