OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ star Liam Reardon has admitted he is “in love” with Millie Court.
The 21-year-old bricklayer found himself finally dropping the L-bomb during Tuesday (17.08.21) night’s episode of the ITV2 reality series after he watched Millie perform a rendition of ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran on piano as part of the Love Island Talent Show.
Liam is yet to tell the 24-year-old fashion buyer’s administrator he loves her to her face, but admitted in the Beach Hut that watching her perform a love song made him feel “in love”.
He said: “Hearing Millie, you know, play a song like that … it’s definitely a love song, and I feel I am definitely in love.”
For his performance, Liam sang a passionate cover of ‘It’s Not Unusual’ by fellow Welshman Sir Tom Jones.
Other talents showcased during the episode included Mary Bedford’s ability to tap dance, Toby Aromolaran and Aaron Simpson’s football skills, and Faye Winter’s affinity for roasting people.
For Millie and Liam, the sweet moment comes after they told each other last week they were “so close” to saying they love each other but didn’t quite want to take the plunge just yet.
Speaking while cuddled up on the day beds, Millie said: “Every day is just stronger and stronger. I look at you and I … feel a certain way. I wanna say certain things, but I also … you know what I mean?”
The 21-year-old Welshman agreed, adding: “Yeah, what I wanna say is on the tip of my tongue, but I feel like I shouldn’t say certain things yet. So that’s why I’m just telling you where I am now … I’m not saying it yet.”
And while things in the villa are just starting to return to normal following explosive scenes in the last few episodes regarding the vote for the least compatible couples, Wednesday’s (18.08.21) episode will see another couple sent home.
The public are voting for their favourite pairs, and the couple with the fewest votes will be booted out when the show returns on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub.
