OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Rickitt feels “so proud” of his wife after they re-launched their bar.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star and his significant other Katy Rickitt own Dexter and Jones – a craft beer, artisan gin and fine wine shop/ bar in Knutsford, Cheshire – and the actor was full of praise for his partner after their established moved into a new space.
He wrote on Instagram: “Proud of my @dexterandjones fam…but mostly proud of this one…@katyrickit you are my rock and there’s no one else I wanna be on this ride with! (sic)”
Katy also returned her thanks to Adam – who played Kyle Kelly in the Channel 4 soap – describing her husband as an “utter legend”.
She wrote: “Feeling pretty happy right now!!! Happy Friday!!! I cannot begin to say how proud I am of this one … love you @adamrickitt you utter legend x (sic)”
Adam and Katy aim to offer customers the “best beverages you won’t find elsewhere”, and are regularly at the establishment, “either behind or in front of the bar”.
The pair say on their website: “For us Dexter and Jones is the ultimate passion project, blending our love for our community, for each other and for great drinks…. who do you think tries out all those new products?!
“It is far from a sideline for us though, most days you’ll find us either behind or in front of the bar, sometimes even dancing around it! We hope to see you soon. (sic)”
The re-launch comes after Adam – who previously played Nick Tilsley in ‘Coronation Street’ – admitted in April he was looking forward to opening the bar following the coronavirus lockdown.
He said: “Places like this are social, community hubs – not just places to relax and get a drink. We have ticked over with takeaway deliveries and I’ve been out there supporting my customers.”
