OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Whitmore will take her baby to work with her on ‘Love Island’.
The 36-year-old TV star will be taking her three-month-old daughter Stevie – whom she shares with her husband, ‘Love Island’ narrator Iain Stirling – with her when she jets between London and Majorca for her presenting job on the ITV2 dating show as the tot is still breastfeeding.
Speaking to Grazia, she said: “Every time I fly over, she’ll go with me because I’m breastfeeding.”
The blonde beauty usually travels back and forth to make an appearance for re-couplings in the villa before jumping on a plane back to the UK for the spin-off show ‘Aftersun’.
Iain, 33, will remain in London to record his voiceovers whilst Laura’s mum will join her in Spain to help look after the newborn whilst she works.
Laura added: “She’s excited, it’s her first grandchild.”
Iain previously admitted he doesn’t need to travel to Spain for his job but admits it does make his job easier to be in the same environment as the contestants.
The Scottish comedian explained: “In a way though, for the first two series, it was much better for me to be in Spain because I’m not a huge reality TV fan. “When you’re in Spain, you get engrossed in this TV show because there’s not a lot else to do really. It became my world.”
It comes after Iain revealed the couple were planning to split their roles “50/50” so Laura can take the baby when she is not presenting the show.
Speaking on the ‘Lockdown Parenting Hell’ podcast, he said: “The plan will be to 50/50 and streamline what it is we do.”
Iain also feared that once the ITV2 dating show starts, he will be too tired to “remember all the names” when he is in the voiceover booth narrating the programme due to being a new father.
He joked: “Trying to remember all the names in the voiceover booth, what is going on? ‘Craig’s coupled up with whats-her-name again?’ ”
