OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Comer will “miss” playing Villanelle in ‘Killing Eve’.
The 28-year-old actress is set to walk away from the iconic character at the end of the fourth and final series, and Jodie admits she has had “so much fun” portraying the “daring” assassin.
Asked what she’ll miss most about the show, Jodie explained in a Q&A ahead of the BAFTA Television Awards: “Gosh, oh God I’m like, ‘Don’t say that out loud!’ Oh God, I just had so much fun.
“As long as there is truth in what you are saying, acting can be big and it can be bold and it can be in your face and it can be a bit ugly and it can be all of these different things like not everything has to be super subtle.
“I don’t know another word that I can think of, but you know what I mean? I guess just to be a little bit more daring, you know. There’s no need to feel silly about what it is that you may want to do. I’ve just had so much fun.
“I’ve been in such strange you know, funny situations and met some amazing, amazing people so yeah, I think that’s what I’ll miss the most.”
Meanwhile, Jodie is set to star alongside Stephen Graham in a new Channel 4 film titled ‘Help’.
And the acclaimed actress – who has been wanting to work with Stephen for some time – has explained how she joined the project.
She added: “It was amazing because Stephen introduced me to my agent and ever since then, we’ve been like, ‘Jade, please find something for us to do.’ And she’s like, I am, I am.’ But there’s just not anything out there.
“And then I very embarrassingly slid into Jack Thorne’s DMs when I was on Twitter and I told him that I wanted to work with him, just straight up. He’s incredible. So I did then and simultaneously, without even knowing, around that time Stephen had got in touch with Jack and was like, ‘Will you write something for me and Jodie?'”
