OHMYGOSSIP — Adrian Lester has joined Vicky McClure in Jed Mercurio’s ‘Trigger Point’.
The ‘Hustle’ star will appear as ex-military man Joel Nutkins, who works alongside Vicky’s experienced bomb disposal operative alter-ego Lana Washington, and the pair are close, having served together in Afghanistan.
Adrian said: “I’m really looking forward to partnering with Vicky on this great new series.
“Jed Mercurio’s material is always great.
“This series is ambitious and challenging which is why it’s exciting to be a part of the team.”
The six-part ITV thriller, which is written by Daniel Brierley, will turn the spotlight on counter terrorism policing and the extraordinary work of the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Squad.
It will see the Expos on the frontline as a terrorist campaign threatens the capital, as the police rush to find out who is behind the bombings.
‘Line of Duty’ creator Jed will executive produce the drama alongside Jimmy Mulville, Mark Redhead, and Jessica Sharkey, with Julia Stannard producing.

Last month, Vicky tweeted a picture of the script and praised the “amazing” screenplay.
She wrote: This has been waiting in the wings a while, great to read through with a brilliant cast today. Daniel’s written an amazing script & great to be back in business with @jed_mercurio & @htmtelevision @itv #triggerpoint (sic)”
