OHMYGOSSIP — Graham Cole’s dog has died.
The 69-year-old actor – who played PC Tony Stamp in ITV police drama ‘The Bill’ – has taken to Twitter to reveal his beloved pet pooch has passed away.
Alongside a photo of himself and his dog, Graham wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “I lost my mate today, the most loving, kindest sweetest soul! My dressing rooms will be empty now, rest easy my dearest jazzy fizz xxx (sic)”
Graham subsequently thanked his Twitter followers for their supportive messages.
He wrote online: “My thanks fir all your beautiful messages photos and kind words about our Jazzy Fizz, what a character he was, a void and tore a hole in my heart loosing him! (sic)”
Graham starred on ‘The Bill’ for more than 20 years and he previously admitted to spending time with his co-stars.
The actor said: “I think the hardest thing to get used to is no longer having to get up at 5.30 in the morning, which I’d done for 20 years.
“For a lot of people who are made redundant or retire, that’s the biggest change they have to get used to. Our working day was 7am-7pm, and I would often work six days a week. I miss that.
“I also miss my mates beyond belief. But I’m still mates with the core of the actors from ‘The Bill’, we’re quite a tight little group.”
Graham also revealed he once used his fame to help stop a fight.
He shared: “I’ve been able to defuse a punch-up on the street because I’m Tony Stamp from ‘The Bill’, but I’ve also been in situations where it’s all gone quiet and then I turn up and they kick off again because I’m Tony Stamp from ‘The Bill’.”
