OHMYGOSSIP — The Masked Dancer’s Llama enjoyed some behind-the-scenes flirting with Beetroot.
Burlesque star Dita Von Teese was unmasked as the vegetable on Monday night (31.05.21), and she’s now revealed that Llama tried to woo her shortly before her exit from the ITV show.
She said: “Llama slipped a note under my door so I can’t wait to see who’s in that costume.
“I was wishing I could have had a masked romance, totally in character of course.”
Dita, 48 – who is dating Disney graphic designer Adam Rajcevich – also claimed that dancing in her Beetroot costume was “more nerve-wracking than a striptease”.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Every time I would feel inept and silly, I’d have to remember the big picture.
“You are a dancing Beetroot on the silliest show on TV.”
None of the show’s judges – Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse, Mo Gilligan, and Davina McCall – correctly guessed Dita’s identity before she was unmasked on the programme.
Before Dita revealed herself to the audience, the judges suggested a host of well-known celebrities could have been behind the Beetroot costume, including Zara Larsson, Kelly Osbourne, Kim Cattrall, Miley Cyrus, and Dame Mary Berry.
And following her unmasking, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Oti asked her: “Have you had any dance training?”
Dita replied: “Yeah, I always say I was a failed ballerina.
“I wanted to be a ballerina more than anything in the world, but my ballet teachers were like, ‘Oh your arms and legs are great!’ but I can’t follow choreography.”
Jonathan, 60, also praised Dita’s dancing skills.
He said: “You move with such grace and elegance, and of course you do because that’s what you do on stage and that’s why people love you.”
