OHMYGOSSIP — Anna Maxwell Martin was asked to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 44-year-old actress has revealed she turned down an offer from ITV to compete on the jungle show because she would find it too boring.
She told Grazia magazine: “I was asked to the jungle; I would love the challenges, but I wouldn’t like the boredom.”
Although her daughters Maggie and Nancy liked the idea of staying in a plush hotel all expenses paid.
She said: “They were like, ‘Oh my God, we’re going to be in the Versace hotel for five weeks!’”
The ‘Line of Duty’ and ‘Motherland’ star also revealed that she would be petrified if she was placed in a confined space with sandwiches and mayonnaise, but she wouldn’t have a problem with the creepy crawlies.
She admitted: “If they threw me in a coffin with those… it would be good TV.”
Meanwhile, after success on the small screen in the UK, Anna is contemplating a move across the pond to have a stab at cracking Hollywood.
She said: “Only recently actually I’ve thought, ‘Oh, we might all go over and I’ll try and finally work with Wes Anderson – my dream – and try and be a bit more ambitious.’
“It’s only now I’ve thought I could go to LA and tout myself around a bit. When I was younger, I just couldn’t… I love my forties.
“I’m at the beginning of it and I feel definitely it’s my best decade.”
