OHMYGOSSIP — Abbie Quinnen is “always panicking” about what to wear since she suffered third-degree burns earlier this year.
The 23-year-old dancer has to wear a compression vest 23 hours a day and keep her scars out of the sun after she suffered horrific burns in a fireball accident earlier this year, when a stunt intended for social media went badly wrong.
She wrote on Instagram: “definitely am finding it hard to find what to wear at the moment as I have to wear a compression vest 23 hours a day under my clothes and keep my scars out of the sun (sic)”
But Abbie – who is dating former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star AJ Pritchard – is grateful to her fans for sending her so many positive comments about her outfits.
She added: “I’m always panicking about what I’m going to wear before I leave the house so it’s always so lovely to get so many compliments from you all about what I’m wearing! Thank you (sic)”
Last month, Abbie admitted she has had to buy “lots of roll-neck tops” following the accident.
She said: “The laser treatment to reduce redness is painful and it makes your skin go black for a few days before it starts to take effect. So I have to think about dressing differently, buying lots of roll-neck tops.
“The first thing AJ bought me was a Burberry bucket hat to cover my face from the sun. That was so sweet but it also made me cry.”
Abbie also uses “lots of make-up to cover the redness” on her face.
She said: “I can’t dress to show off my figure now; I have to dress to hide and protect myself. I don’t go out without high-factor suncream in foundation and lots of make-up to cover the redness over my face.
“I have to drink lots of water and eat lots of protein to help my skin recover. AJ cooks me a version of Nando’s chicken with halloumi cheese, which I eat three or four times a week.
“And I drink water all the time because burnt skin is basically completely dehydrated. The doctors are so pleased with the way my skin is healing.”
