OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson “drank [himself] silly” after spending lockdown on a farm.
The 61-year-old TV star has spent the pandemic filming ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ – his new Amazon Prime Video series – on his 1,000 acre farm, and he’s confessed to over-indulging on alcohol over recent months.
Jeremy – who has been helped by a local farmer named Caleb and his girlfriend Lisa Hogan – told The Sun Online: “[Caleb] doesn’t drink really so I have to take up his slack. 12 months, Lisa and I have drank ourselves silly.
“When you’re farming one of the joys is the sun going down and leaning on a fence and looking at your sheep or your crops or watch the changing of the seasons.
“So has it made me fitter? No. And the other thing about farming is how automated it is, you never have to actually walk anywhere, you just drive everywhere it’s fantastic.
“I’m the unfittest I’ve ever been.”
Although Jeremy has owned the farm since 2008, he’s only been running it for the past couple of years.
And on reflection, the outspoken TV star isn’t sure he’s made the right decision.
The former ‘Top Gear’ presenter explained: “I thought ‘I can do that’.
“I genuinely thought you put seeds in the ground, weather happens and food grows. So I thought ‘that’s not difficult’, it’s phenomenally difficult.”
Meanwhile, Jeremy recently revealed he fears he’ll die this year.
The presenter believes he could pass away sometime in 2021 after a number of his friends and family all met their maker when they turned 61.
He said: “Everyone I know dies at 61. All my friends did, my dad did, that’s when you go … If I make it to 62, I’ll be here forever.
“When dad died, I thought of him as an old man, but I don’t feel old. When I see myself on screen I think, ‘Who’s that?’ I always expect a 19 year old to be looking back at me. But old people don’t look like we think they should.”
