OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Bentham has revealed Gabby Thomas “has a lot of tricks up her sleeve”.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actress has opened up on her character’s reaction when Kim Tate (Claire King) puts a secret plan in motion at Home Farm to find out who has been putting diazepam in her brandy.
Kim is set to invite all her suspects round for a meal, where she’ll pretend to announce her retirement to see who is most excited by the bombshell.
Rosie – whose character Gabby is looking to mend her relationship with Kim after getting caught stealing from Home Farm – said: “She knows her future is at Home Farm and Gabby will do anything she can to impress Kim to deserve her place there.
“So when Kim comes out with this thing of someone taking her place – it is Gabby’s future with the baby and she would fight for that and she doesn’t want Jamie to get it.
“The last person she would want in charge is Jamie as he could get rid of her. That was the motive for stealing – she was worried about being left on her own.
“Gabby has a lot of tricks up her sleeve… She is ambitious and she will do whatever she can to get power. And Kim is that person who can help Gabby do that. But as to whether she would poison her, I’m not sure. You will have to wait and see.”
While Rosie is being tightlipped over whether or not Gabby has been the one tampering with Kim’s drinks, she did say her character has a chance of being her heir above Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) – the father of her baby – and his girlfriend Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).
She added: “Gabby and Dawn have an ongoing hatred towards each other. Why should Dawn, this ex-prostitute be around the same table as Gabby? She even says to her she could have made an effort.”
