OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield is keen to take part in ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter is well up for getting stuck into the no-nonsense Channel 4 programme – in which ex-Special Forces soldiers put recruits through a recreation of the SAS selection process – and former Royal Marine Jason Fox, who puts stars through their paces on the programme, would love to do so with the TV presenter.
Speaking on the brunch-time show, Phil said: “There is a lot of it I would like to do.”
Jason added: “You should come on.”
But Phil’s ‘This Morning’ co-host Holly Willoughby has admitted it would be her “worst nightmare” to take part in the show.
She said: “It would be my absolute worst nightmare and I know everybody is on their own individual path.
“You lose me at the shouting bit straight away.
“As soon as someone shouts at me I go, ‘Well, that’s it then.’ ”
And Jason even admitted he doesn’t know why some of the celebs take part.
He said: “I agree with you though, I sometimes wonder why people volunteer.”
Holly replied: “Well if you think like that then what are they doing?”
Jason said: “They are on a journey aren’t they?
“It’s all about self discovery, I think somehow we help them find their way through the rest of their life, hopefully.”
The 44-year-old former Special Forces Agent also admitted he has been on a journey himself away from the small screen, and during one low point he considered taking his own life.
He said: “I found myself on top of a cliff contemplating suicide.
“What changed it for me, I had a moment where I discussed something with myself and I said, ‘Right, you either do this or you make a change.’
“And the change was to be honest with myself and to go out and find someone that I could talk to that would help me find a path that would work moving forward.
“For me, talking about it was the key.”
