OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy-Jo Hudson is returning to ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 38-year-old star will reprise her role as Donna-Marie Quinn in the Channel 4 soap, after her comeback was revealed in the show’s latest trailer.
In the clip, Donna-Marie – who last appeared in the village in January 2020 – surprises her daughter Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) at the Salon De The, but she is less than impressed about her mum’s comeback.
Her return comes after Juliet has been messaging her mother, but she has been keeping her secret texting a secret from girlfriend Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell).
After filming her 2020 comeback, Lucy-Jo admitted she was already hoping for another ‘Oaks’ return at some point.
Speaking in January last year, the former ‘Coronation Street’ star – who was pregnant at the time with her boy Carter Ray, who is now 15 months old – said: “I would love to go back, I know obviously I am having a baby in a few weeks now, I am on countdown but you know maybe in a few months or so I’d love to go back.
“I know that Juliet has got quite a big storyline this year and I know that involves going down the wrong path and stuff.
“So I know my character could come back and fit straight into all that chaos, so the door has been left open for me again which is lovely.
“I’ve come in, caused havoc and then buggered off, I could always come back and do the same, which I’d love to do.”
Lucy-Jo also has seven-year-old daughter Sienna-Rae with her ex and former ‘Corrie’ co-star Alan Halsall.
