OHMYGOSSIP — The Reece Dinsdale-directed ‘Emmerdale’ episodes will air over the summer.
The 61-year-old actor – who joined the soap as Paul Ashdale in April last year, following a successful stint behind the camera – has given fans an update as he got settled into his latest job as a director.
Reece – whose gambling addict character recently died in a huge barn explosion stunt – told a fan on social media that his episodes will air “late July”, and said everyone seemed to have “a really good day” on Monday (24.05.21).
He tweeted: “Promised I’d report on how my first day of shooting on #Emmerdale went.
“The proof is always in the pudding but, by all accounts, we had a really good day. I certainly enjoyed myself, anyway.
“And the crew got home early… which always goes down well. Onwards! #TopTeam (sic)”
Another viewer urged Reece to do his bit to retain the spirit of the ITV soap and keep it “as special as always”.
He simply replied: “Will do.”
The star admitted the night before that he wasn’t expecting to get sleep much ahead of his return to the soap.
He wrote on Twitter: “I’ll not sleep much tonight… but I’d better at least attempt to get some.
“Sleep tight, and tomorrow I shall let you know how my first day went. I hope yours goes well. Crossed fingers
“Goodnight, good people. x (sic)”
Reece made his ‘Emmerdale’ acting debut in April 2020 following a delay due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He tweeted at the time: “For those of you remotely interested… I was meant to be making my #Emmerdale debut this evening but, with the reduced weekly output, I’m led to believe it may be next Wednesday (April 15th?) instead.
“I’ll keep you posted. (sic)”
