OHMYGOSSIP — Oti Mabuse is terrible at guessing on ‘The Masked Dancer’.
The 30-year-old star has joined the new ITV show after previously starring on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and Oti admits she’s struggling to come to terms with the format.
She said: “Coming from ‘Strictly’, I’m naming every single ‘Strictly’ contestant ever … all the time.”
Oti also revealed the strategy she’s adopted in order to identify the contestants.
She told the Daily Express newspaper: “I’ve got many names written down.
“I am that one who overwrites names but then I am also still guessing, watching every move, having a good time when I am writing and still noticing – oh they jumped!
“Oh, but the names!
“If I think it’s a soccer player I will name every single player in the whole world and the producers are like ‘Oti, could you please stick to one or two’ but I can’t!”
Despite this, fellow judge Mo Gilligan thinks Oti is a great addition to the show.
The 33-year-old comedy star revealed she’s taken to the format like a “duck to water”.
He shared: “Oti is so good on this show.
“She’s taken to it like a duck to water. She knows steps, she knows routines, styles so there’s a lot to take from her that I can add to my own stuff.”
Mo has also relished the experience of working alongside her on the new show.
The stand-up star – who is joined on the panel by Oti, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross – said: “That’s what Oti brings – she brings all this amazing experience and she gives to everybody.
“She’s wicked. Me and Oti have a good laugh and she’s fit in really well.”
