OHMYGOSSIP — Kelli Hollis conceived her son while filming at ‘Emmerdale’.
The 44-year-old star – who played Ali Spencer in the ITV soap from 2011 to 2015 – hooked up with her partner in her Winnebago in between scenes on the programme.
She said: “I actually conceived my son while I was filming at Emmerdale. Not on set but in my Winnebago.
“I’m sure there are a lot of worse places to be conceived – and at least we got a bit of kudos.”
Kelli admitted some of the cast and crew were aware and used to joke that she could call her kid Emma or Dale.
Speaking on the ‘Soap From the Box’ podcast, she added: “Everybody used to joke that if we had a girl we should call her Emma and if it was a boy we should call him Dale.”
Kelli’s character Ali was killed off-screen in April 2018.
Ali’s former brother-in-law Daz Spencer (Mark Jordon) received a shocking phone call informing him of her death, while he and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) were looking after his brother Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) and Ali’s daughter Amelia.
With Dan uncontactable, Daz was forced to break the horrific news to Amelia, telling her: “I’m so sorry angel but we’ve had some bad news.
“It’s your mum. She’s had an accident. She was in a car and she was driving to work when she lost control and crashed into a wall.”
She refused to believe the terrible news, but Daz said: “I’m so sorry they rushed her to hospital but she didn’t survive.”
Dan and Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) later returned from their night out to be told of the horror smash, but he was left seething that his brother Daz had told his daughter about her mum’s death.
And in a follow-up storyline, Amelia turned out to be Daz’s daughter, not Dan’s.
Ali didn’t have much luck with transport-related incidents as she had to leave the village for Liverpool in April 2015 after discovering her son Sean Spencer (Luke Roskell) had been involved in a car crash.
