OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Miles loves filming explosive rows with Emma Atkins and Nicola Wheeler.
The 58-year-old star has teased fans they can expect his character Jimmy King and Emma’s alter-ego Charity Dingle to come to blows once again in the near future as she demands half of his haulage firm.
Quizzed on whether the pair will be involved in any fiery disputes, he said: “We’ve already had some! Jimmy just completely loses it. He can’t control himself in front of Charity.
“Charity just plays with him, like a cat with a ball.
“It’s great fun to film.”
Jimmy’s wife Nicola King (Wheeler) will also feel his wrath in an upcoming episode – and it looks set to be a huge argument.
Nick said: “The director asked me, after we’d done the line reading, if I could turn this one up to 11!
“This is absolutely the climax of Jimmy’s distress.”
Nick was also recently involved in some explosive scenes when Jimmy lost control of his lorry, which careered off the road at speed and ploughed into farm buildings, which resulted in the death of Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale).
Before the episode, Nick revealed the initial plan was for another character to pull Jimmy out of the cab, but they realised that wouldn’t be possible due to the two-metre coronavirus pandemic restrictions.
He added: “The first conversation I had with a producer about it, I was told another character would be dragging me from the cab of the van.
“I said, ‘How are we doing that at two metres distance?’
“There was a very long silence and when it came to it nobody was dragging me from any van.”
