OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Charnock is hoping Tom Cruise will pop over to ‘Emmerdale’ to film a cameo today (21.04.21) while he is in Yorkshire – but it will no doubt be a Mission: Impossible.
The 52-year-old star took to Twitter to joke he could imagine the Hollywood star, who is in the county shooting scenes for his forthcoming film ‘Mission: Impossible 7’, starring as one of the Dingle family in the ITV soap.
Mark – who plays Marlon Dingle – tweeted: “#TomCruise in North Yorkshire today. Which new Dingle he’ll play remains a mystery. (sic)”
The ‘Emmerdale’ press team also got involved in the joke, writing: “You’ve broken our embargo!”
Mark replied: “I can only apologise and hope with time you can learn to forgive me (sic)”
Former Dales star Michael Parr (Ross Barton) joked Tom could be Marlon’s identical twin.
He wrote: “Marlon’s identical brother surely!!! (sic)”
Mark replied: “It’s SO obvious now you’ve said it. X (sic)”
But former ‘Emmerdale’ star Hayley Tamaddon suggested Tom should in fact play the boyfriend of her character Del Dingle.
She wrote: “Didn’t you hear? He’s definitely.. 100 percent del dingles new boyfriend. (she dreams) (sic)”
Lisa Riley – who portrays Mandy Dingle in the soap – joined in the fun, writing: “He’s coming as Vinnys long lost bug brother (sic)”
Tom flew into North Yorkshire via helicopter, and he was spotted touching down in the village of Levisham.
He has been shooting scenes alongside co-star Hayley Atwell on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
