OHMYGOSSIP — Davood Ghadami has admitted there was “zero acting required” in some of his ‘EastEnders’ exit scenes last night (19.04.21).
The 38-year-old actor bowed out of BBC One soap in dramatic fashion as his character Kush Kazemi was pushed in front of a London Underground train by serial killer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith), as he prepared to flee Walford with his fiancee Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and son Arthur to escape the Mitchell family.
He wrote on Instagram: “Ive had a blast. I will miss so many things about working @bbceastenders but its the people that made it. Tell you the truth there were scenes tonight where there was zero acting required. Its hard to say goodbye… (sic)”
Davood admitted the moments with his co-stars “before and after they call action” are his “favourite memories” from his seven years on the soap.
He added: “I will miss playing Kush – silly sausage might just have had too big a heart. But its in the bits just before and after they call ‘action’ where my favourite memories are. Im a very, very lucky chap. Thank you all for watching.
Kush. Out.
On to the next chapter….
#Eastenders #kush #goodbye #bestmateieverhad (sic)”Kush was forced to flee Walford after he went back on his deal with the Mitchells to take the rap for some of their previous crimes, and he grassed them up in court instead. The market trader got engaged to Whitney just days before, and she had taken Arthur to the toilet when Gray appeared on the Tube platform and pushed Kush to his death following a scuffle.
But Davood has wasted no time in sorting himself out another job at the BBC – as he is joining medical drama ‘Holby City’ as Eli Ebrahimi, a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon.
Last week, he said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining such a brilliant show.
“‘Holby City’ is renowned for its quality storytelling and I’m excited for the audience to meet Eli and watch the drama that unfolds on his arrival.”
