OHMYGOSSIP — Katie McGlynn has vowed to “stick to acting” after ‘Stand Up & Deliver’, as she insisted the editing on the show is “a real b****”.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress tuned into the second episode of the Channel 4 show, which is part of Stand Up To Cancer 2021 and sees celebrities perform stand-up comedy routines, last night (25.02.21), and she claimed there was “so much more” to her final performance than viewers saw.
She wrote on Twitter: “Just watched ep 2 of #StandUpAndDeliver on All4 @Channel4 and I have to say, editing is a real b****! There was so much more to my final performance that you don’t see I think I better stick to acting from now on! But please remember to donate @SU2CUK proud to support! (sic)”
Katie – who portrayed Sinead Osbourne on the ITV soap – also hit out at her own stand-up performance as a “s*** show”.
In response to a Channel 4 tweet of tumbleweed rolling along an empty road in reference to the stars’ stand-up routines on the programme, Katie wrote: “What a s*** show. I hope I improve! jeez! Remember guys, this is all in aid of @SU2CUK (sic)”
Katie recently admitted she felt “completely out of [her] depth” on the programme.
She said: “I’m completely out of my depth!
“I’ve been enjoying it, but I’ve not done the performance yet, so I’m absolutely nervous. I always try to find a funny side of things, but it’s completely different to anything I’ve ever done. I just hope people laugh.”
