OHMYGOSSIP — Lorraine Kelly has “never been so excited about anything in her life” ahead of her dad getting his coronavirus vaccine today (27.01.21).
The 61-year-old TV presenter feels “so relieved” her father is set to get the first of his two jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine, because she will be able to “relax a little bit more”.
Speaking on her morning show ‘Lorraine’, she said: “My dad is getting his vaccine today.
“I’ve never been so excited about anything in my life I think.
“I’m so relieved.”
‘Good Morning Britain’ and ‘Lorraine’ medical expert Dr. Hilary Jones said: “You know he’ll get a good level of protection, and you can relax that little bit more.”
Lorraine replied: “Absolutely.”
What’s more, Hilary revealed his mother had the vaccine last week.
He said: “My 95-year-old mother had it herself last week.”
Lorraine’s joy comes just days after former ‘EastEnders’ actress Tamzin Outhwaite admitted she was feeling “hopeful” after her father had his coronavirus vaccine following “nearly a year” of shielding.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress – who played Mel Owen on the BBC One soap – tweeted: “Yesterday my dad had his 1st jab of the vaccine.He has been shielding for nearly a year as he is vulnerable with underlying health issues.I called the doctor a couple of times but he only got his invitation the day before.He said it was very well organised & we await no 2. #hope (sic)”
Tamzin’s ex-‘EastEnders’ co-star Laurie Brett (Jane Beale) was delighted to hear Colin had been vaccinated.
She wrote: “Fantastic!! Go Colin (sic)”
