OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Karen Hauer is bombarded with X-rated photos online by men who want to date her.
The 38-year-old professional dancer – who split from boyfriend Davd Webb in September – has put herself back in the dating game but has been put off by the amount of guys who send her explicit images of their genitals in a bizarre bid to try and impress her.
Speaking on Jamie Laing’s ‘Private Parts’ podcast, she said: “Ewww. In what world does a girl like that? Nowhere.”
Karen and ‘Made In Chelsea star Jamie – who finished as runners-up on the 2020 series of ‘Strictly’ – would laugh about the crazy messages Karen received from potential dates during their rehearsals.
Jamie said: “We would have a look at people sliding into her DMs. They basically say, ‘Do you want to date? Here’s a picture of my penis.’ ”
Karen was previously married to Matthew Hauer until 2009 and Kevin Clifton from 2015 to 2018 but has insisted she has “respect” for both her exes although she found it hard having to continue working with Kevin on the BBC Latin and ballroom competition.
She said: “I have a lot of respect for both of my exes and my previous ex. I think that’s what’s important, when you cut ties and you’re still working together, you have to still treat it as business. And, it’s also out of respect, the respect that you build over the years. And that’s one of the things with someone like Kevin, I have a lot of respect for him and I care about him a lot.”
The ballroom queen also discussed why she changed her last name back to her first husband’s after she split from Kevin.
She explained: “Well I kept my first husband’s last name and then when I married my second husband I changed my name – oh that sounds awful. Then when I married Mr Clifton I changed the name for when I was on the show [Strictly] and then once we got separated I went back to Hauer. So every other year I just change my name. Who’s name is it going to be next?”
